Find An Emergency Vet
Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Excellent service but within 48 hours I was bombarded with texts and emails about payment even though it was going through insurance and I had paid £250 - well above the excess on my policy

Could not have asked for better care ,the vet and her assistant were brilliant in what was a stressful situation

My dog was very happy to be at the vets. She was treated with love and empathy, I was told all that would happen to her, in the way of treatment. I left my dog overnight with confidence in the knowledge she would be well cared for.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The vets were very attentive and thorough and I felt my pet was in safe hands, especially as this was an emergency visit due our Vets being closed over the bank holiday weekend.

We called BH Monday a couple if hours later Casper had been seen had antibiotics and painkillers with clear guidance in what next steps with our own vet.
We were so worried when we called and we are in the hands of finding out what is wrong with him but are very grateful for the emergency service and the efficiency and kindness shown to us

Very thorough consultation and lots of information given on possible conditions and treatment options. I felt very confident leaving my pet with them and they looked after him really well.

I don't normally write reviews but in this occasion I wanted to praise the vet we saw as he was absolutely amazing and showed real interest and compassion in helping and treating our dog. His treatment was first class and comprehensive and he explained what had happened and what he was doing to treat him.

Quick response, lovely friendly vets and staff. And treated my dog wonderfully.

After having the video call consultation and being advised to get to the vet ASAP, we were kept waiting (no one else waiting) and when we were seen, the vet lacked any bedside manner.
He made us feel like we were wasting his time and said "this isn't an emergency" yet happy to charge the emergency fee.
On a positive side the nurse was kind, helpful and compassionate.
We left feeling very disappointed and let down with the Vet.

An Outstanding team on duty, despite being busy the call, was answered straight away and we were offered immediate support, the team was caring and so helpful to our dog Polly, and helped her recover.

Jessica was a fantastic and reassuring vet who really took the time to understand and address my concerns, as well as comfort my distressed puppy. The reception staff were friendly and professional.
