24hrs before delivery, email from Value Oils requesting £200 more! I questioned this and my order was cancelled. Received a call from them from someone not interested in my questions or my email reminding them i had paid for my oil 3 weeks before!! Just wanted even more money. Thankfully shopped around and got oil cheaper and delivered within 4 days.

Very reasonably priced, excellent customer service. Emails were answered within half hour of the opening hours. The only reason I scored them 4 stars instead of 5 was because the delivery was delayed by 2 days and I had to chase them up. But that wasn’t the fault of Value Oils, it was the delivery company. But they made good in the end.

I bought 1000 litres in December for £590 - brent crude was $60 per barrel

I have just been quoted £1350 for the same quantity - brent crude $100

The same problem has happened to me as Marty R. I ordered oil at the end of February with a delivery due by 16 March, I received an email on Tuesday 10 March stating that my order had been cancelled due to no small tanker being available. The delivery company was RDS Fuels. I telphoned Value Oil but could not speak to anyone so left a message for a call back. They never called back.I then contacted Value oils by email and requested that I was happy to wait for a small tanker to
be available and for them not to cancel the order but they just keep repeating the same statement that there is no small tanker available and ignoring my request regarding that I am happy to wait for the delivery. The order was made prior to the vast increase in oil prices. I am now going to have to face turning the heating down
so as to make the oil last longer. I have tried getting quotes from other companies but they all seem to have stopped accepting orders.

I ordered oil from value oil on Saturday paid 269.48 for 400l . Received a confirmation email confirming that my oil will be delivered on 6th March before 7pm. Requested a small tanker to make it easier for the oil to be delivered due to a previous delivery but this wasn't a necessity, only to find an email this afternoon saying my order has been cancelled due to no small tankers in the area even though it wasn't a necessity! I could have got a bigger tanker to have my oil delivered but I was trying to be considerate for the delivery driver as in the past a bigger lorry found it difficult to maneuver around the small streets. I was not contacted by anyone and when I tried phoning everyone was passing the blame. I believe my oil was cancelled due to the rising costs of oil. I have contacted my solicitor and the consumer council to take this further as I believe this is a breach of contract as I should have been contacted to discuss my order and I would have happily waited to get my oil delivered... I would avoid at all costs value oil takes advantage of the vulnerable adults . The supplier is Strangford fuels that's what I was told by value oils

would not deliver - They tried to charge us extra ver for a smaller tanker even though we have been in our property for over six years and never a problem before for us and all our neighbours !!
were not helpful when i spoke to them ....just a email asking if i wanted to cancel or pay the extra.
Found it cheaper elsewhere with NO extra charge for delivery.

I was very pleased with the gentleman I spoke to whilst ordering my oil. He was pleasant and patient with me. The price given was good and it was delivered on time by an efficient driver. Thank you.

Simple ordering system, fuel delivered on time with no input required from me, what's not to like? Delivery drivers are kind, courteous, professional and respectful.

No problems. Delivered as stated. Refund given for excess not needed.

Taking full payment from me on December 11th 2025 - and delivering on December 29th is zero stars - but the review system insists I award at least 1 star. Zero is more accurate.

Delivery was earlier than expected, which was good. (Although I didn't hear about this until the same morning, which could have been awkward.)
The driver came with a smaller tanker, as requested, which made things easier. The driver was friendly, helpful and efficient.

Ordering on-line is very easy and the prices are good. Delivery can be even quicker than they estimate.

Ordered Heating Oil on the 6th January 2026 due to be delivered on or before the 21st Jan, our tank is only 650 litres so have to run it fairly low to be able to get 500 litres in, oil did not turn up on or before the 21st, contacted them (they made no attempt to contact us) and was told the 24th, oil did not turn on the 24th again no contact. Oil finally delivered on the 27th. we ran out on the 23rd so had to bleed the system. Poor communication poor customer service, gave them 2 stars as i liked their payment options, won't use them again.

Ordered because we were low. Then realised we were really low. Asked if there was a way to speed up the delivery, was told no. Was happy to pay for a faster delivery, but no. Then the expected delivery date came and went. No idea when the oil is going to be delivered.
Have had to order from another company for next day delivery.
Company that is supposedly going to deliver (Certas) have damaged items on my property previously, so if I had known it was going to be certas i would not have ordered.
Thought ValueOils was an oil delivery company, not a broker. I will not be using them again and will be going direct to
Oil suppliers in the future.
Ordered 11th Jan, now 27th Jan and no idea when oil will be delivered.
Can not cancel the order either or as per their T&C they’ll charge me £100.

Very good service, they arrived when stated. I rang to them for reassurance and their customer service was very good!!! I would definitely order again!

Value Oils provided an excellent service. They were competitively priced and delivered exactly when they said they would. The driver was very friendly and polite. I would use Value Oils again and definitely recommend them as a home fuel provider.

Great service and can spread the cost of oil over 3 months using paypal.
