Motion is amazing

Motion is amazing. It helps me organize my life that has lots of moving parts into an easy workable schedule. I spend much less time trying to organize my life and more time doing the things I need to.

Work in progress… With a lot of potential.

The product Motion has put out has amazing potential.

There are a few things that still need improvement, such as the mobile app, notification settings, and a few workflow tweaks, but there is a new update every week or so and they are slowly improving. Great things take time. The price is a little bit steeper than other platforms like this but they definitely give you a run for your money.

I use it as a student with ADHD, and Motion is still very useful, but it is very business oriented. I’d like it to be more student-friendly, or just more modular.

Overall, a great product with a lot of potential.

The AI scheduling software is amazing

The AI scheduling software is amazing. It has reduced the mental load and decision fatigue of planing what to do when. I do not have much use for the project functions or other more teams-based uses as I use this product as an individual, but I still find it very useful.
I do wish there was the ability to add travel time to scheduled events/meetings/appointments. Additionally I wish there was more flexibility in scheduling recurring events (e.g. scheduling every 30 days, not just monthly) and sequencing tasks (e.g. task 1 should come before task 2 etc).

Overall, though, find this program very useful and definitely would recommend to anyone looking to streamline their calendars and to-do lists.

The only PM tool that finally worked for me!

After testing nearly every project management tool (Asana, Trello, Monday, etc.), Motion is the first that solved my biggest pain: constantly wasting time rescheduling tasks if something unexpected came up - and as a tech startup founder, something always comes up. 😅 The AI that automatically reshuffles priorities is excellent. Exactly what I always needed.

Now, Motion has even more features I haven’t fully tapped into, but even with the basics, it’s become my daily executive assistant, keeping me on track, guiding my day, and making sure nothing slips. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to stop managing their to-do list and start actually getting things done.

Regarding the subscription renewal, by default the paid plan begins automatically once the free trial ends. We also send a courtesy reminder email three days before the trial expires, for example:

“Sending along a courtesy reminder: your Motion trial converts to a paid subscription in 3 days.”

That message includes a direct link to manage your account and clear instructions to cancel the trial if you don’t wish to continue. You can manage your plan anytime by going to Settings → Billing → Manage plan → Cancel.

Terrible experience frBuggy Product, Terrible Support, No Refundsom start to…

Terrible experience from start to finish. The platform is buggy, slow, and honestly not worth the price. I stopped using it months ago, but they kept charging me and when I asked for a refund, they refused. Support was unhelpful and just kept sending copy-paste replies instead of actually solving the problem. It feels like they only care about taking your money, not delivering value. I would strongly recommend avoiding this service there are plenty of better tools out there that actually work and treat their customers fairly.

I love how easy to use it is. I can get done so much more then normally.
- 1 star because it’s a bit expensive. I do know that somehow you have to get paid too but 50€ a month is to much.

Issue Fixed – Much Better Experience

At first, I had problems with Motion’s onboarding and felt there was no proper support, which led me to leave a negative review. However, the billing team reached out quickly, explained the setup clearly, and even extended my trial so I could test the product properly. After following their instructions, the system worked as expected. I appreciate the resolution and the extra effort to make things right. Updating to 4★ to reflect the much better experience now.

Automated Scheduling Tasks Great, But Needs Improvement

New user here. I am liking and keeping this app after trying it for a month, but I’ll be honest I’ve been on the fence. The dynamic scheduling and automation to adjust is great!

The upfront investment in time is heavy and the learning curve to use this product is high. The trial period is only 1 week and you absolutely need more time to just learn the basics of how to use it. The set up tutorial is confusing and the person speaking in set up is hard to understand as they are not a native English speaker. There should really be onboarding to help a user set up Motion so it works for their needs as the app was built around a concept of how all project management and scheduling should work but of course one size doesn’t fit all. I’m one of those people.

Once you get past the initial learning curve and make all the mistakes of what works and doesn’t for your actual needs, it starts to get better. Dynamic scheduling is great when it works. I had to ignore the “stages” concept because it messed up my flow and made the system not function for my need of case management. I’m also using as a single user so when I assign a task for someone else to handle Motion doesn’t know how to handle that. Motion also doesn’t understand that after a task is completed, sometimes you must wait some time before you can do the next step (like completing a draft and sending off for review means I need to give 1-2 weeks to get it back before I can review and finalize returned version).

One of the biggest negatives for me is that Motion can’t give you an estimated completion date or notify if you’re going to miss your deadline for projects that are more than 30 days or so in the future. This is a major flaw as my projects last 3-9 months and I need this information to understand if I’m ahead of schedule. There is a lot of room for improvement here and Motion appears to ignore this entirely. A simple rough estimate based on past history or percent completed per week could give you a rough estimate. I had to create my own estimator in Excel.

Motion also really missed the mark on time tracking. Changing start times or moving tasks in calendar manually is not allowed. It jumbles my calendar and is inaccurate for time tracking for charging time to a client/case so a second app is needed.

Motion also could do better reporting as I have clients that want to know remaining tasks and timeline or my boss wants to know my plan for the next week so we can discuss prioritizing.

Overall, the dynamic automated scheduling of tasks are what keep me with Motion and my hope is that the R&D team is actively working to make improvements so that I don’t jump ship if a better option comes along—as I don’t want to learn a new system from scratch.

Incredibly complicated to use, Credits is a scam.

Incredibly complicated to use. Terrible video/documentation support. The AI credit thing is a sham. I turned on one 'pre-built' email categorisation agent and it used over 12,000 credits in about 3 days. My plan gets me 12,000 credits a year. The next plan up has a minimum of three users and is 4x the price. Steer clear. Terrible app. Zero reporting on where your 'credits' are being consumed. Massively unethical operation.

When your AI Credits run out, there’s no need to upgrade to a higher plan — you can simply top up your balance at any time.

Please note that the credit cost per AI Skill run can vary depending on factors such as the complexity of the AI Skill, the number of steps involved, and the amount of content being analysed. The amount of spent AI Credits can be consulted by visiting AI Employees in the left sidebar menu, and clicking on "All Employee activity". In the opened section, you will see the list of ran AI Skills with their respective credit pricing.

Motion saves me precious brain capacity…

Motion saves me precious brain capacity and time. I don’t have to think about what I should do next, because it’s already planned out.
I love that that AI note taker joins my meetings and transcribes and summarizes the meeting for me.

And the AI employees takes tongs off of my plate. If you’re not using it, you’re missing out. I was using Asana but Motion is a powerful project management assistant and so much more.

I have tried many organizational…

I have tried many organizational strategies and I find them hard to stick with. I have been using Motion for a year and a half and am very happy with it. It took me a little while to get used to using it for my role but its very helpful and I recommend it.

Customer service and auto renewal

Motion went ahead to charge an annual subcription fee without any reminders that the annual auto renewal charges are about to kick in. Their chat bot customer service experience was extremely poor. there is no way to check if i can cancel my subscription on the spot and even when i ask them for a case number to follow up, they have NONE to provide and told me they will email me in 5-10 days, which never happened. Please take note fellow buyers. This is exremely POOR customer service.
