Bad delivery service multiple times
I have had multiple experiences where the delivery never made it or they put the delivery in a weird place and the recipients didn't find it for a few days. And then I wasn't even refunded nor did they send a new shipment. Customer service was less than helpful both times. The flowers are so beautiful and it's a shame that my friends never received them. And for those high delivery fees?? crazy.

Exceptionally good at righting a wrong
I had attempted to send flowers for a grieving friend who had just lost a beloved pet when I realized the delivery address had somehow defaulted to mine and not my friends upon check out. I reached out immediately to remedy the situation and heard back from Urban Stems almost instantaneously, despite the late night order placement. From that point on, UrbanStems kept me constantly updated on whether a change could be made, and while ultimately it could not, Rosalie of the Happiness Team kindly refunded me the delivery fee. UrbanStems not only delivers beautiful flowers, it also delivers kindness and understanding, which is most appreciated. I will continue choosing Urban Stems for moments where flowers are a comfort and/or joy.

I sent a flower delivery to celebrate a friend's first book launch, and discovered (too late) that I had included an outdated address. I reached out immediately to UrbanStems, and in short order Jhoanna scheduled a replacement, at no charge, to be sent to the correct address. Automated customer service was disappointing
I’m not disappointed with the flowers themselves — my frustration was with the automated customer service process surrounding delivery expectations.
On Monday, I ordered a $160 double bouquet from the UrbanStems’ “available for next day delivery” section. I understood I had missed the cutoff for Tuesday delivery, but the website clearly indicated the order would be processed Tuesday and delivered Wednesday.
After placing the order, FedEx tracking updated to Thursday delivery instead. I reached out simply to understand why the delivery timeline had changed and to communicate my concern, since this was an important thank-you gift for friends.
What made the experience frustrating was the initial response from the “Happiness Team.” I received repeated automated explanations that I had ordered too late for next day delivery and that FedEx delays were outside their control — even after I clarified that I wasn’t expecting Tuesday delivery and was specifically asking about the missed Wednesday expectation.
A more appropriate first response would have been a straightforward apology, reassurance that the flowers would still arrive fresh and beautiful despite the delay, and a commitment to make things right if they didn’t. Instead, the repeated scripted replies made the interaction feel dismissive and more frustrating than it needed to be.
To UrbanStems’ credit, the issue was eventually escalated to a real customer service representative who apologized without excuses and personally continued tracking the order. That response felt much more thoughtful and customer-focused, however it still didn’t include any assurances that my friends would be delighted with the quality despite the shipping delay.
When someone sends flowers as a meaningful gift, especially at this price point, they shouldn’t have to worry about whether the bouquet will arrive wilted or look cheap because of shipping delays — or feel like they need to ask the recipient whether the flowers still look fresh.
