Many people reported significant problems with delivery services, including lost or delayed packages, inaccurate delivery dates, and false delivery attempts even when customers were present. Reviewers also faced considerable frustration with customer service, finding it difficult to contact a real person, encountering unhelpful automated systems, and often receiving conflicting information from staff described as rude, unhelpful, or incompetent. Extremely disappointing experience with…

Extremely disappointing experience with UPS.
My parcel was shipped from UK to Spain . As soon as an address issue appeared, I immediately updated the delivery address through Parcel2Go. Parcel2Go confirmed in writing that the updated address and my contact details had been forwarded to UPS.
Despite this, the parcel remained in Barcelona for several days. I was never contacted by phone, even though my phone number was clearly printed on the shipping label. No second delivery attempt was made.
Instead, the parcel was returned to the UK. Because of this, my family had to buy replacement clothes, towels and other essential items during our holiday, causing additional expenses and considerable stress.
Parcel2Go has confirmed that they forwarded the updated address to UPS and is investigating why the information was not applied.
I expected much better service from a company like UPS. This experience completely disrupted our holiday and left us extremely disappointed.

UPS do not deliver!

UPS were meant to deliver a parcel to my home address on July 15th. During the day I received 2 emails from them telling me it had been sent to a 'drop off point' some distance from my home as they had been unable to deliver.I am crippled with arthritis so spend most of my life at home with my carer ergo we had been here. I informed my supplier who 'phoned UPS who assured them the delivery would be made on July 16th, meantime, and several emails later guess what, no delivery but someone telling me to go and collect said parcel, repeated again today..again I have told them I am disabled and a) cannot get to drop off point and b) they were paid to deliver to my address where, contrary to their drivers lies, at least 2 people are always in situ. I cannot understand why this so called delivery company are incapable of doing their job and reading other people complaints I know that I am not an exception to the rule!

I can see why they have a 1.2 star…

I can see why they have a 1.2 star rating. They suck. Waited all day until 830pm and no delivery. Update tomorrow between 430pm and 830pm again. The delivery was a medical product which was needed a lot earlier then waiting until 830pm and then was not delivered. Their drivers make tons of money, union largest shipper and they still suck. A lawsuit is in order now. It does not seem like the management of this company is in control or just doesn’t care. FEDEX is 100% better than UPS these days. Years ago, UPS was great not anymore unfortunately.

I would give UPS 0 stars if that were…

I would give UPS 0 stars if that were an option. This has been one of the most frustrating shipping experiences I have ever had.

My package was originally supposed to arrive within 3 days. When it did not arrive, I called UPS multiple times on the 4th day, and I was told, “It will arrive tomorrow.” The next day came, and after calling again several times, I was told it would arrive the following day. That day also passed, and my package still did not arrive.

Now UPS is saying they have to search for my package in the warehouse. How does a package go from being scheduled for delivery to suddenly needing to be searched for?

The worst part is not only the delay, but the lack of accurate information and the repeated promises that were not kept. Customers rely on UPS to deliver packages on time, not to receive excuses and changing delivery dates every day.

Very disappointed with the service and communication. I expected much better from a major shipping company.

I paid for UPS Worldwide Expedited through netParcel…

I paid for UPS Worldwide Expedited through netParcel ($196.46 CAD) to ship infant formula from Canada to Morocco, a service advertised as 9 business days including customs clearance. Label created June 24, 2026.
On June 29, the package was held in customs in Casablanca. The notice was never forwarded to me or the recipient — I only found out by calling UPS Morocco myself the next day. I immediately appointed UPS to handle customs clearance and provided every requested document within 2 hours, every single time, over several days.
Despite my constant responsiveness, the file never actually moved forward. UPS Morocco agents confirmed to me repeatedly, by phone, that the delay was entirely internal to their clearance team — not caused by Moroccan Customs itself — and that they had no way to escalate internally, not even an email address to reach that department directly. I was also wrongly told that individuals could no longer clear personal shipments themselves — a claim UPS was never able to back up with any actual regulation.
I contacted 4 independent customs brokers to try to speed things up: all four declined, none of them handling personal, non-commercial shipments.
Meanwhile, the package sat in an uncovered, non-climate-controlled outdoor warehouse at Mohammed V airport, confirmed by UPS Morocco to exceed 40°C, for a product that must be stored below 22°C. After 8 days in these conditions, I formally requested a refund for product destruction. The file remained stuck for 9 more days (17 days total), with repeated generic responses ("we're working with UPS," "customs handling") from both netParcel and UPS Canada.
I ultimately had to file two formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau (one against UPS, one against netParcel) and open a PayPal dispute just to get a real response. Only after this escalation did both companies act quickly: netParcel refunded the full amount ($196.46 + $174.90 CAD) within days, and UPS (US headquarters) offered an additional goodwill gesture.
What stands out: once real pressure was applied, the resolution was fast and generous. But getting there took weeks of daily follow-up, dozens of phone calls, and meticulous documentation — a level of effort most customers can't or shouldn't have to put in. The system seems structurally built for large commercial accounts, with little mechanism in place for an individual with a single urgent shipment. I'd strongly recommend anyone shipping something important internationally to weigh this risk carefully before choosing a standard service.

Lazy driver blocked 3 houses

We live on a dirt road that has 2 "lanes" for half of it, then 1 lane with driveways going off of that. My neighbor got a package and the driver parked across the 1 lane, instead of going into her driveway, blocking access to 3 homes. Waiting 5 minutes isnt a big deal, but when he could have stopped at the wider part of the road or pulled into her completely accessable driveway that's just laziness on the driver's part and is unsafe.

I had an exceptional experience

I had an exceptional experience at the UPS Store on Hoffner Avenue, thanks to Emma. She demonstrated outstanding knowledge of everything involved in shipping a package to Spain and guided me through the entire process with confidence and expertise.
Emma spent more than 30 minutes helping me complete all the required forms. She was incredibly patient, professional, and attentive, making sure everything was filled out correctly. I never felt rushed, and she answered all of my questions with kindness.

I have honestly never felt so well taken care of as a customer. Emma went above and beyond, and her exceptional customer service made what could have been a stressful process a very pleasant experience. She is a true asset to the UPS Store. Thank you, Emma!

If you don’t want to have a heart attack from stress, don’t use UPS.

I paid a premium price for express delivery of an important document, but it was not delivered on time.

The tracking said that a delivery attempt had been made because nobody was home. That is impossible. We were at home the entire day. Nobody rang the doorbell, nobody called my phone, and nobody tried to contact us in any way.

Even the cheapest delivery companies call you if they can’t reach you. UPS didn’t.

They also didn’t leave my shipment at a nearby pickup point. Instead, it was sent back to the depot, meaning I was expected to travel across the city to collect a document that I had already paid to have delivered to my address.

Based on my experience, I do not believe a genuine delivery attempt was made. That is how it felt from my side.

This whole experience caused an unbelievable amount of stress over an extremely important document. I will never use UPS again, and I strongly recommend choosing another delivery company.

UPS has an abhorrent track record in my…

UPS has an abhorrent track record in my family.

Most often we’re given a day that a package will arrive with an 8 or so hour delivery window. Not sure for anyone else, but this is difficult as staying at home waiting for a package to arrive all day is quite a waste of time (unless planning on binge watching some mind numbing show).

My two latest experiences however are quite ridiculous and UPS continues to deliver the worst experience I’ve had of any parcel delivery company.

In January I’d sent a package from a well known hotel on Las Vegas strip. I had it delivered from their business office and had kept the receipt.

Then over a week later (I’d sent express 2-3 business day delivery) we received notification it was delivered. The package had been delivered, but the contexts were missing. We tried filing a claim, but as the business office of the hotel was the actual sender, UPS would not let us file a claim, so I had to involve the hotel. They were kind and understanding and helped file the claim. The UPS “investigator came out to look at the empty package and then there was no response from UPS. Again I had to call the hotel and ask them to check status, after a couple of weeks UPS said they would reimburse, but again as the package left the hotel, they would have to send payment to them. Weeks go by and I’m communicating on the same email thread the hotel included me on with UPS and the UPS customer service never responded to me or the hotel and so UPS never sent the reimbursement ($129 plus shipping).

I’ve tried to avoid UPS at all costs, but this last week the only delivery option from a vendor I made a purchase though only used UPS. So reluctantly I placed the order, thinking what are the odds something like my last experience would happen again?… well, shame on me.

Yesterday was my wife’s birthday and the package was slated to arrive. I asked her to keep an eye for a package, and nothing ever arrived. I looked at the tracking, and of course it listed as being delivered. Fun fact, there were 4 people in our house when the package and not one of them saw a delivery guy deliver a package.

I will say out of all the choices for delivery in this world, I do not understand how this company still exists. Horrible customer service, impossible to deal with, and you never actually receive your package costing more than flying to a location purchasing the item and then flying home.

UPS has became one horrible company

UPS has became one horrible company. I don't know what has changed but they are not dependable. They will tell you the package will be delivered one day but it's not. When I call customer service I'm being told the package was never out for delivery and that I should get it the next day.

Took the afternoon off of work to wait…

Took the afternoon off of work to wait for a package that never arrived. Signed up for text and email notifications and not received one update. Called and they said that the package was "mistakingly scanned" and never made it onto the truck. Since the package is coming from Tmobile they won't allow me to switch the delivery to a pick up. Still don't know the shipping window of time for tomorrow. I can't take another day off of work so now I will most likely miss the delivery that requires a signature.

If i could give ZERO stars is would

If i could give ZERO stars is would, Package was to be delivered July 6th. Notice came saying missing APT number. We as the receiver and the shipper called and used to web site to update the address (3) different times with the same auto response that delivery address is incorrect or missing APT #. After 3rd the delivery went cold for 3 days and we were told to file a missing package claim. Now 3 days later still no answer. The package has multiply scans from Maumee OH but no one can locate. Calls to customer service are complete useless since most barely speak English and are reading off the same response paperwork.

Package was delivered to Amazon locker instead of home, no notification of delivery. 5 days the package has been sitting in a locker with no way to access it. Customer support would not help. I have been on the phone for 2+ hours trying to get my package, it should never have been delivered to the locker in the first place. Horrible customer service
