I had been thinking about purchasing custom fit earplugs for some time but was put-off by the process of having to arrange to have impressions taken in one location and then having to send them in the post etc. However, the information given on the website and the assistance with booking the appointment with a local audiologist made it easier than I had imagined and the manufacturing time was only a few days, so much quicker than expected. Overall I am very happy with both the product and the service!

Excellent service. The process was Simple and everything was sorted for you including the taking of the moulds. Quality looking product. Could do with a little better instructions around the spare dampners and what ypu do with them

Great fit, great quality, awesome sound and great noise reduction. I ride an Harley and I can clearly listen to music and follow GPS. Just the microphone is kind of useless for phonecalls since its not wind/noise cancelling but I was warned by the sales representative, so I already knew that. Very happy with the purchase, riding my Harley got even better now

I ordered sleep plugs from Ultimate Ears, but was later advised by a doctor not to wear them due to eczema so decided to cancel. No molds were made, no ear plugs made. Simply an appointment. They then refused to refund me fully, charging £30 just for making an appointment. Total rip off.

I had never considered custom made ear plugs for swimming but it had got to the point I'd fallen out of love with swimming due to the irritating drops of water finding their way into my ears.
So I thought I'd look for a solution and found Ultimate Ear Protection.
It's not a cheap solution but it is cost effective. Moulded ear buds, a choice of colour, a handy zipped holder - and helpful " how to use" instructions ( yes you need to read them!)
Tried in the pool today, 27/02/26, and.....not a drop in either ear. Success. Yes you can hear your breathing but you get used to it.

I use ultimate ears as a drummer in a band- I have 3 of their products- all are comfortable and work extremely well. Fitted ear products are expensive, but give you the best hearing protection, and sound quality if using in ear monitors and in my opinion are worth it. I had a problem with an in ear monitor that was fixed under warranty and returned within a week (far quicker than other companies I have used). The fitting process is easy as long as you have a high street audiologist nearby.

If you ride a motorcycle then you need a pair of these. They perform brilliantly, are very comfortable and don't fall out. The whole process was smooth and efficient from start to finish with excellent communication at each stage. Very highly recommended.

These are the third set of plugs I’ve bought from Ultimate Ear (two squidgy and one with speakers). I had a small fit problem with one of the plugs but they sorted it out in no time flat. Great customer service. I would be happy to recommend them to anyone.

Once you've had ear mouldings taken you can order different types of protectors.
I've got max noise protection for Motorbiking/power tool use and just bought a pair more suited to noisey restaurants,music events,but speaking is still not much affected, takes the edge off.
It's worth looking after your hearing.
