We had an amazing one day caravan towing course with Dave last month. We nervously arrived as new caravaners having never towed before, but Dave was so patient and made us feel at ease right from the off.

We began with some theory work, and Dave was able to explain the reasoning behind why you do and don’t do certain things whilst towing. He covered everything you need to know about equipment, towing, setting up and packing up a caravan. Then we moved onto hitching and unhitching the caravan, before jumping in the car and doing some manoeuvres, and getting out onto the road.

Dave supplied the car and caravan. The car was an automatic and we had never driven an automatic before so we also had a mini driving lesson too! We were able to experience towing on the motorway, country roads and through built up areas.

The whole day was a real confidence booster for us and has really prepared us ahead of the caravanning season and the holidays we have booked. As a result of the training, we know how to tow safely and comfortably whilst still enjoying our holiday, something that would have worried us to death before!

We would definitely recommend Dave to anyone new to towing a caravan, and even as a little refresher for seasoned towers. He was brilliant from start to finish and the day was so helpful and we had a lot of fun doing it too!

A really excellent comprehensive day's training. I wanted to build up my confidence to drive with our single axle caravan in tow to take the pressure off my husband. My husband came along for the ride too and although he's been towing for many years he learnt new tips and recommendations for new equipment and also refreshed his knowledge. The driving course was varied - included narrow roads through towns and villages aswell as a bit of motorway and dual carriageway and some hills with winding roads. Dave was friendly, professional and knowledgeable and very understanding and caring of my arthritic problems. My confidence is well and truly boosted! I highly recommend this course for complete beginners and also as a refresher course.

A great interactive day. Dave didn't stint on the theoretical information at the start of the day, intermingled with hints and tips and equipment recommendations. Lots of practical driving on A and B roads, motorways and through towns and villages to get the full range of caravan towing experience.

This is a really excellent full day’s course. As complete beginners, Dave took us through invaluable information covering all aspects of caravanning before giving us excellent tuition on towing. He gave us real confidence through practical experience including hitching, reversing, driving through villages, on small country lanes as well as larger roads and motorways. Brilliant to cover so much in one day and Dave was great company too! We would thoroughly recommend Dave’s course for anyone looking to build knowledge and confidence.

Really great training course. Dave made the whole experience an absolute pleasure. I learned so much in such a short amount of time. Having never towed before and feeling really nervous, Dave was so reassuring and gave me the confidence that I so needed.
The course includes so much valuable information and useful tips that will stand us in good stead for our future caravanning holidays.

We attended a condensed day course with Dave. We are 2 (apprehensive) females with no caravan towing experience. Dave was so thorough, kind and professional. It was also great to get some constructive criticism regarding our own driving techniques. We came away with lots of great information and feel confident about towing a large van in the near future and feeling like safer drivers . The weather was appalling but Dave coped admirably with this and adapted the course to suit all of us. Thank you for a great day

The course was fantastic, Dave was really patient and a great teacher. My husband and I went from novices to feeling much more confident just in one day. Dave also includes helpful tips about caravanning which again is fantastic for newbies like us, but it can be tailored to suit the individual as well. I would 100% recommend this course for anyone thinking about towing a caravan, this will give you the confidence and knowledge to get out there straight away. Excellent 1:1 training day improved my confidence no end and overcame my fear of reversing and getting into awkward situations. Specific training in my own car towing my own caravan was invaluable. Training also addressed some of my bad habits which have arisen over years of driving. Thoroughly recommended for both new or more experienced towing drivers.

A really comprehensive and confidence boosting course. Dave’s knowledge, experience and excellent training style really gave us the knowledge and confidence we needed to collect our first caravan and head off on our travels.

We had a great day with Dave.
He gave us all the technical info in the morning and had me and my wife reversing, parking, driving along the roads and even on the motorway by the end of the days training. Not bad for a couple who had never towed before.

Very good presentation about everything we needed to know before towing a caravan. Security, balancing and levelling the caravan on a pitch. Good range of roads for driving experience and reversing.

I was extremely nervous about towing a caravan until we met Dave Griffin. He put us at ease straight away. Very thorough with the theory too. Did all aspects of towing from narrow lanes to motorways and reversing. Would highly recommend.

I can’t begin to say how good the day we spent with Dave was, learning so much not just about how to tow (and reverse!) a caravan but also about how to set one up and all the pieces of equipment.
We were completely inexperienced when we did the course. We’d not only never towed anything but hadn’t even spent a night on one (and yet we were going to pick up a new one the next day!). Dave’s patience and clarity in explaining things to us gave us the confidence to go ahead with this project without feeling like total imbeciles!
I can’t recommend his training highly enough.

Dave spent a very useful & happy couple of hours with my daughter & me, teaching us how to reverse our little caravan, both on straight runs & into a space. He was brilliant!
He is a practised & patient teacher & was prepared to tailor the course exactly to our needs. His communication was great & it was great fun into the bargain.
If there are aspects of towing that scare you, he'll work precisely on those aspects until you're confident. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
We both highly recommend him.

Excellent course for the new to caravanning driver. I took the course to see if I would be confident to tow a 6 berth caravan. Dave provided excellent tuition with 1:1 supervision for the whole day. We covered a lot of milage on Motorways, through towns and along country roads to get the most out of the day. Dave is clearly a very experienced instructor and has a lot of patience. I finished the course with an abundance of confidence and am looking forward to getting my first caravan.
