I absolutely love this gym. The facilities are great, the staff are always friendly and super helpful. Can’t recommend it highly enough! My partner has just signed up too :) Massive shout out to Adrien, Teresa, Joe and Paulo as I absolutely love their classes and their great energy. Enrique’s smile on the way in always brightens my day too! Highly recommend!

Pulse and Method classes are a favourite with Jessica Alexander. Brilliant, professional and extremely motivating instructor. Regular practice has delivered top results in terms of tone and strength and makes this a standout class for me. Never dull with Jessica who with her gentle humour and encouragement makes the time fly by.

I would particularly like to comment on the facilities staff (Alex) who keeps the gym in excellent condition and goes above and beyond the norm to be helpful. Very impressive.

Men always on their phones lounging in the swimming pool area - staff can’t do anything about it at all. Totally puts you off swimming. Café is just full of working laptops so very hard to find a seat. Price just keeps on going up and up! Real shame you can’t control phone usage around a pool!

Not happy with this gym at all. I’m not sure how many issues they’ve had just this year with their app, aircon, etc despite their insanely high membership price. They don’t have enough variety of classes, they don’t even have a single combat class in Islington, even with lots of suggestions to bring more variety. Also now that I have to cancel due to financial hardship, it took them 3 days to even respond to tell me that they still have to charge me another month and a half?! Super super frustrating.

Disappointing given this is one of the most expensive gym memberships in London at £245 per month - instead of getting the basics of customer service right they consistently focus on raising prices and spending on more advertising, fail on food safety and try to deny it.

1) I had a protein shake from NFF Natural Fitness Food onsite at Third Space Islington - which shockingly contained blended bits of plastic pieces - response from the team there is to deny all responsibility and claim that their process is too immaculate for this to happen

2) Third space app is often down - barrage of complaints on this on all media channels

3) Very crowded during most times - not much done to address this

4) Popularity of the gym makes some of their staff very complacent & dismissive of customer concerns

been going to this gym since January. Great atmosphere and equipment. The highlight is my trainer Will - best trainer I've had and a joy to spend time with.

In a nutshell, if the monthly fee was £100 /mo cheaper, then would be fine. Gym is too busy if you use it before or after work. Not a bit too busy, infuriatingly so. Allegedly they paused new sign-ups but every time I’m there they’re showing someone around so I don’t believe that. Classes (when they’re held and when you can book them) are really hit or miss, and many of the best instructors have left or scaled back. Gym is less clean than it was, and equipment repaired more slowly. Feels like it’s being sweated for sale.

The Islington club is superb. I went to a class with Jess last week and she was just wonderful. The classes are not threatening but challenging and the facilities are great. Love this place.

This is not a just a gym for summer body. ThirdSpace Islington is a gym for anyone who is serious about their fitness and health needs.
I love coming to the gym here after, the quality of trainers/teacher are incredible, one of my favorite HIIT classes is the Kettlebell with Paolo. Paolo is intentionally aware of different abilities and support in a way that help to motivate trainees to be motivated and push for the next step.

I've been a member of the club for over a year now. They have taken so many members, so expect to queue at every step of your visit (including showers, equipment, sauna). I recently counted 16 people in the sauna while about 3-4 people were in the queue... Also, People use this as a place to work so there are barely any seats available to relax. I think they started exploiting their popularity by allowing more members in. They recently took certain precautions to control the situation. But it seems like they'll keep this space always crowded by allowing new members in gradually. It's already overcrowded, and doesn't seem to get any better. Oh by the way, you'll end up paying £245pcm. Not worth the experience!

For me paying extra for a “luxury” or “premium” experience in a gym is not only related to equipment and space but also to service, which Third Space does not seems to care much about. I thought about freezing my membership as I’ll be out of the country for a couple of weeks but found out that if you don’t do that *exactly* on the first day of the month you pay for the full month, not even pro rata? And to cancel is the same non sense, if you cancel on 1st of the month you pay one month (without being able to use the gym, worth saying) but if you do that on the 2nd, you pay 2 months??
Clearly a really cheap strategy to try to get more (!) money from us. Also they totally lost control of the number of members in Islington, I’ve never seen such a crowded space in my life- Saturday mornings there look like a sales convention.

Showers have been cold (no hot water) for a few weeks now after the kids' swimming class on Saturday mornings.
Water pressure was also very low at times. We've been told this is a known issue, that is difficult to fix as it's related to the building, with hot water supply shared with the flats above. It's however unclear why it just became an issue recently.

We've been members as a family for many years. We've always enjoyed the club - until this cold shower issue, that is degrading our experience quite significantly.
Like other reviewers, we've noticed the Islington club getting more crowded recently, and Third Space has implemented measures to cap the member count to current level, meaning the crowding may not get better (as it may stay at current levels), but at least it shouldn't get worse.
However all this becomes secondary when you're just waiting next to a cold shower with 2 shivering kids, hoping it will finally warm up at some point (it didn't).

The artwork and paintings are great, but I'd happily see a few of them swapped to fund a meaningful fix or uplift of the hot water supply.

I have been a member since it opened but they have taken on too many members so this is no longer a great experience. You can’t find a locker, you queue for showers which are not cleaned frequently enough, you queue to use the treadmill and other machines and you have to book classes within 20 mins of them opening. So all that said why pay a premium for a budget experience?

Consider it pretty poor form that the rep didn't bother to tell me the price was going up when I asked about referring a friend. My friend obviously had a shock when she found out it's £245 a month vs what I told her. Up c.17% since the £210 end of 2022. Glad to hear my membership will soon be getting a harsh price hike...

I visited the gym beginning of August 2023 and got foot fungus from the showers. I still have the foot fungus 2 months later despite strong treatments.

An amazing gym for the whole family! Very clean, super friendly staff and the facilities are one of the beat I have ever seen!

Love the facilities and class selection at Third Space, can always get into the class I want and their protein shakes are amazing too!
