Customers frequently praise the exceptionally spotless facilities, top-notch training equipment, and spacious workout areas that make every single visit extremely enjoyable. Many consumers also love the incredibly engaging fitness classes led by professional instructors and the genuinely welcoming staff who always create a friendly community atmosphere. Beautiful boutique-style gym in the heart of Richmond with upgrades currently underway!
From the warm, friendly and welcoming faces at the Concierge Desk - specifically Tia & Wesley to the motivational instructors teaching in the Mind & Body Studios - Cassie C, Janet S, Diana vH, Chloe AH, Sandy D, Kayla S & Caroline B - what's not to love about this club? Will keep coming back, because I'm worth it!

Went to this gym when I stayed in London for a few months. The facilities were nice but sometimes it's hard to do a work out since there are too many people. If you plan to go it will be better if you go during working hours to avoid the crowd.

Exceptional!

Hi! Third Space Battersea is hands down one of the best gyms in London. The staff are incredibly friendly and always go above and beyond, the service is amazing! The equipment is top quality, the facilities are spotless, and the spa area (including pool, sauna, steam room) makes recovery a real treat. There's a wide range of services on offer, and everything feels thoughtfully designed and well-maintained. Highly recommend!

The service has deteriorated lately

The service has deteriorated lately. They have closed the swimming pool, apply strikes even when you attend the classes and closed the main entrance to studios due to refurbishment work without previous notification. Truly bad service given the fact that they charge over 250 pounds a month. I would not recommend this gym.

Over a decade was spent building a genuine community, and it's sad to see it disappear. Fitness fads come and go, but it's a shame that real combat training, commitment, and the value of a strong community aren't appreciated in the same way.
Seeing what's happened since, has only reinforced that feeling. It's sad to see something with so much potential end up this way.

I love Third Space

I love Third Space, the club is a good all rounder. Whatever you are looking for, it has.
It’s social, it offers elite training, they specialise in all aspects of fitness. Timetables change, so you don’t get stuck in a routine.

Great facilities and a gym

I’m very happy with Third Space and really enjoy being a member. The gym has excellent facilities, and I particularly appreciate the little extras that make the experience feel more premium, especially the spa facilities and the complimentary toiletries such as cleansing toner and deodorant.

I also really like that Third Space is making an effort to engage with its clients and give back to members. The recent Hot Mat Pilates social was a lovely example of this, and it was great to see the team actively asking for feedback and looking for ways to improve the member experience.

My only real criticism is the yearly increase in membership prices. While I appreciate the quality and facilities that come with the membership, the annual price increases can be difficult to justify and are something I would like to see reconsidered.

Overall, I’m very happy with Third Space and feel that they offer a great experience. I especially appreciate that they are listening to their members and making an effort to give back.

Mat pilates

I love attending the mat Pilates classes across all third space gyms, but the hot class is a real treat.
I thought the social event after the class was a really nice thing to do, it allowed me to meet some of the other people attending the class and if they are regulars it helps in making it an even more friendly environment to return to. I think it’s so lovely when you get to chat with people who are in the same sessions on a regular basis. Makes it so much more fun.
Looking forward to more social events such as this one in the future.
Many thanks to the whole Third Space Team

Great experience

I’ve been really impressed with Third Space Richmond. It has a genuinely friendly and inclusive atmosphere, and the staff are consistently welcoming and helpful. The gym and facilities are also exceptionally clean and well maintained.

I usually visit during the day on weekdays and have found it pleasantly uncrowded, which makes working out feel relaxed rather than intimidating. The classes I’ve tried have all been excellent, with great instructors, and the overall standard of the facilities is very high.

A really lovely gym with great staff and a welcoming atmosphere — I’d definitely recommend it.

There are so many options for classes each which feel different and unique. I’d definitely recommend if you’re into a variety of exercise and love recovery too.

Excellent Personal Trainer - James Dunne @CW

I had a PT session at Canary Wharf with James Dunne. James is knowledgeable, encouraging, and was truly invested in supporting me during the session. I not only learnt new exercises, but the session was well-structured and motivating. Highly recommend—5 stars!

Not the luxury gym experience I expected

I cancelled my Third Space membership at the beginning of my second month, after only using it for around one month.

I originally joined with a Group Membership for the upcoming Queen’s Park club. As Queen’s Park was not due to open until October, my plan was to use the other Third Space locations in the meantime and then make Queen’s Park my main club once it opened.

During that month, I visited Canary Wharf, City, Tower Bridge and Wimbledon.

To be fair, Wimbledon was excellent. It is spacious, well equipped and felt much closer to what I expected from a premium gym. Unfortunately, my experience at the other locations was very different.

At Canary Wharf, the swimming pool was closed during my visit and I found the changing rooms surprisingly dirty for a club at this price point.

City was extremely small and, more importantly for me, the gym floor and equipment selection were disappointing. On my first visits, the pec fly machine had an “Out of Order” notice on it. I kept seeing the same notice for around two weeks, expecting the machine to be repaired. Instead, eventually the entire machine was removed, leaving an empty space. A few days later, I noticed the shoulder press machine was also out of order.

I also noticed that the tiles around the pool at City felt noticeably slippery. Anyone who regularly uses swimming pools will understand why that is concerning. Aside from the obvious safety issue, it did not give me much confidence in the general upkeep and cleanliness of the pool area. For a premium club, I would expect the poolside surfaces to feel well maintained, clean and safe.

Tower Bridge was probably my worst experience. I visited during July and the gym felt like a poorly ventilated basement. The cooling/ventilation was inadequate and large industrial fans had been placed around the gym. There was also an unpleasant smell. Nothing about that experience felt “luxury” to me.

If your main reason for joining Third Space is the gym itself rather than the classes, I would strongly recommend visiting the specific clubs you intend to use before committing. Based on the locations I visited, the gyms can be very crowded and I found the variety of strength-training machines and equipment surprisingly limited. There seemed to be plenty of treadmills and ellipticals, but for the type of training I do, the equipment offering simply wasn’t good enough for a membership at this price level.

I understand that Third Space has an excellent reputation for its classes, and I have heard very positive things about them. I didn’t personally use the classes, so I can’t comment on that side of the membership.

Ultimately, my experience during the first month was disappointing enough that I decided not even to wait for the new Queen’s Park club to open. I cancelled at the beginning of my second month.

What disappointed me further was that I clearly explained my reasons in the cancellation form, yet nobody from management contacted me to discuss the issues or ask about my experience. For a business positioning itself at the premium/luxury end of the market, I would have expected more interest in understanding why a new member had decided to leave after just one month.

Wimbledon showed me that Third Space is capable of delivering an excellent gym. Unfortunately, the overall experience across the other clubs I visited did not justify the price or the “luxury” positioning for me.

I’m really enjoying my membership at Third Space. My home club is Soho and I find the wide combination of weights, machines and cardio equipment to really support my fitness goals. The employees work hard to create a strong community vibe which I value. I also work with a talented trainer developing my boxing skills. All round the experience is a very high quality one that I enjoy.

If you’ve experienced Third Space

If you’ve experienced Third Space, you’ll know that one of the things that really sets it apart is the quality of the people who work and teach there.

From the cleaning team, who keep every club immaculate and the towels perfectly presented, to reception, the nutrition counter, trainers and PTs — the level of professionalism, knowledge and care is consistently impressive.

I’ve now had the opportunity to experience Soho, The Whiteley, Richmond, The City and Canary Wharf, with Chelsea and Mayfair still to explore properly.

A particular mention to the Soho team — Hector, Hussein and Maria Demetriou — who have all been incredibly welcoming and helpful.

The trainers and classes I’ve particularly enjoyed so far and that made a lasting impression:

Cathy Brown- Boxing (absolute number1)
Eloise Skinner - Pilates
Oceana Brown- Yoga
Greg Brown- Kickboxing
Richard Timu - Hot Yoga
Shruti Srivastava -Hot Yin Yoga
Nicola MacArthur - Pilates
Oliver Williams- Boxing , Soho, Richmond
Sylvia Garcia- Pilates, The Whiteley
Jane Knight- Sound Bath, Richmond
Joshua LeClair- Yin Yoga, Richmond
Trevor Schoonraad - Pilates, Richmond
Ekaterina Pavlichenko - Pilates, Richmond
Hannah Berendzen - The City

What I appreciate most is the variety and the quality. Whether it’s boxing, kickboxing, Pilates, Hot Yoga, Yin or a sound bath, there is a real depth of expertise across the clubs.

I’m still exploring and trying new things and classes, but so far Third Space has been an excellent experience.

Outstanding customer experience

I have been a member of Third Space, Richmond for a year now. Third Space Richmond is hands down the best ever gym compared to anything else. The gym floor features top-tier, cutting-edge cardio and strength equipment that elevates every single workout. In the studios, the world-class coaches deliver highly motivating, deeply knowledgeable instruction that pushes you to your absolute best. The facility itself feels like a five-star spa, boasting luxury changing rooms and pristine amenities. On top of that, it sits in a perfect Richmond location that makes it incredibly convenient to visit every day. Choosing to join this club is easily the best decision I have made for my health and fitness journey.

Had a interview for a cleaner role at third space next to tower of London. Nice place. I think the interview went well even though I did feel uncomfortable. They asked me about my experience and asked me a weird question but answered it in the best way I can. I asked a few questions at the end and they said if I have anymore I should send them on the Harri website. I sent a few questions but they never answered. A few days after I got mail that I didn't get the role. I'm just upset they never answered the questions I sent. I asked for feedback for the interview and they ghosted me. For a place that has high standards I expected a respectful response.
