Easy to use

i selected an open return ticket for my…

i selected an open return ticket for my journey as i was definitely returning the next day. Inly to find a same day return ticket had been issued to me. i may not have read all the greyed out text about the ticket as i was confident for £65 it was a next day return. But no, i then had another £47 return fare the next day! this had never happened before, i feel i was tricked, and trainline will not back down. I suppose they are profiting from our mistakes. I will be using a different app from now on.

Very frustrating experience.

Easy booking experience but instructions on ticket collection wrong. Had to travel without e-ticket or physical ticket. Staff at starting station, on train, at intermediate stations all not able to print tickets. Only possible at destination. Considerable time and effort involved. Staff helpful and equally frustrated.

Assistance for a disabled person was…

Assistance for a disabled person was very good at Worthing. Unfortunately the train on the outward journey was terminated at Haywards Heath. We sat on another train for thirty minutes due to lack of a driver. We were then told to go to another train which involved using a lift and stairs. This was a problem for me as there was nobody to assist. The final train arrived thirty plus minutes late at Clapham Junction causing much inconvenience. The train journey back was on time and I got assistance at Clapham Junction.

When I was booking my ticket online

When I was booking my ticket online, I selected suitable departure time available and proceeded with payment, trainline system offered some savings if I became a railcard holder so I selected one and proceeded with payment, once payment wss made successfully only then the system showed me my ticket details which changed my departure and arrival times by 6 hours, it was too late to do anything, no refund and no change options were available so I was very disappointed with trainline's booking system, the booking system should not have changed selected times own its own. This is a big flaw people need to be aware of when booking

The ticket inspector made the day

The ticket inspector made the day. He was polite and humorous. Very helpful and informative about the route. With history ditties and some poetry about beggars bridge.
He has worked the route for years and certainly knows his stuff.

Both trains were clean even the toilets…

Both trains were clean even the toilets which was so refreshing as traveling with a child. Staff were helpful we had an amazing impromptu day out cheap prices to London and back meant on our home education journey we can go further and explore more I don't drive so cheap prices are a must, very happy with the service.
