An incredible, positive and life changing experience

The OT centre supported me and my partner, my partner and I have multiple disabilities and medical conditions, and throughout the entire process, the OT Centre were very efficient, warm, empathic, understanding, supportive and created an incredible atmosphere. On multiple occasions I spoke to Osian Hughes on the phone, and every time he created a very welcoming, positive, supportive, warm and calm atmosphere, he was very efficient and helpful at all times. Also on multiple occasions, I spoke to Leah Thornton-Lane, and she was very helpful and supportive, and created a very understanding, welcoming and positive atmosphere. I also initially spoke to Michaela, and she was very very supportive and helpful, very efficient at very thoroughly understanding mine and my partners presenting needs and difficulties, and very thorough and efficient at noting all of our needs and circumstances, whilst creating a very positive, empathic and understanding atmosphere. Our Occupational Therapist, Sara Griffith, was absolutely incredible, and I feel so lucky and privileged to have had her as an Occupational Therapist; both on the phone and when she visited our property, Sara was very compassionate, kind, empathic, understanding, supportive, very very thorough, very understanding, and so supportive; Sara was very professional, efficient and extremely thorough, very quickly understanding our needs and our circumstances, and able to provide thorough, effective and amazing solutions to make a massively positive difference to our lives. She saw us as individuals with individual needs and experiences, and at all times treated us with compassion, empathy, understanding and dignity, taking a holistic view of us both, and bringing her expertise and knowledge. In her report, Sara paid close and thorough attention to detail, and to our individual needs and requirements, demonstrating an incredible knowledge and specialised abilities as an Occupational Therapist, and bringing her warmth, compassion and very validating empathy to her work. I strongly believe that any individual who has had Sara as an Occupational Therapist is very very lucky. Thank you so much to Sara Griffith for such a validating, supportive, life changing and amazing experience. Thank you so much to the whole team of the OT Centre, for such an amazing, incredible, positive, empowering and supportive experience. And of course, I highly recommend the OT Centre.

I would not recommend this place

I would not recommend this place. I needed support for my son who is autistuc and they advertised “sensory integration”. After checking with sensory education, this is not sensory integration, they just offer sensory activities. I spent money for a quality assessment but got poor report. Unfortunately OT centre are disputing this review but it's clearly on there website. The date of the experience has already been stated last March.

Reply from The OT Centre

Thank you for your review. At The OT Centre, we take all feedback seriously and genuinely care about the experiences of every person we work with.
Despite thoroughly searching our clinical records, which we are required by law to maintain as a regulated healthcare provider, we have been unable to identify you as a client from the details provided in this review, including your name and contact information. We therefore have no record of providing an assessment to your child.

We are aware that there are several similarly named Occupational Therapy companies operating in the UK, we would gently encourage you to check whether this review may have been intended for a different organisation.
If you did genuinely receive services from The OT Centre and had a poor experience, we would very much want to hear from you. Please contact us directly at office@theotcentre.co.uk so that we can properly investigate your concerns and address them. We take our clinical standards and our duty of care extremely seriously.

Regarding Sensory Integration: The OT Centre works with Occupational Therapists who hold professionally recognised Sensory Integration qualifications. We are happy to clarify the nature of our services and what a client can expect from a Sensory Integration assessment for any prospective client or referrer with questions.

We have raised our concerns about this review's authenticity through the appropriate channels.
