Order not fulfilled, but money taken
Tried to purchase an in-stock MacBook, next day delivery. They immediately charged my credit card but did not ship the item. Multiple requests for status updates remained unanswered, so eventually I cancelled the order. Still waiting to get my money back.
Overall
Overall, theEDUstore has been disappointing. Delivery delays, lengthy refunds, and confusing warranty terms make it hard to recommend. While the customer service team responded promptly, product dispatch times and repairs need significant improvement. For faster service and reliability, purchasing directly from Apple may be a better option. Mixed experience, but not completely terrible.
AVOID!
AVOID!
The warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on.
I first took the laptop to apple, they quoted me £1k for repairs. I thought there's no point since I already have an 'extended' warranty with the edustore.
I took my laptop in for a warranty repair with them and they claimed there was water damage ( something apple never mentioned) and also quoted me £1.6k for repairs?
On top of this they even charged me for returning my laptop!
These guys are complete crooks and should be avoided at all costs!
I won’t order from here again
I placed an order on 3 June for an iPad described as "Usually dispatched within 5 days". 2 weeks later I still hadn’t received it, so emailed asking whether it was likely to take more than another 3 weeks and, if so, that I wished to cancel. They replied that “… their supplier have not provided us an ETA of when the product will be delivered/ be back in stock” but that it was likely to be longer than 3 weeks. Therefore I cancelled, and am now awaiting a refund which they told me could take a further 2 weeks (it has already taken 1 week). Assuming I get my money back in a week, they will have held £2k of mine for a month (good practice would be to only take the money when they were dispatching the goods).
Incidentally, I got the iPad I wanted the day after I ordered it direct from Apple, whilst the same one is still showing “Usually dispatched within 5 days” on the EDU store.
I have given the second star for the customer service team, who got back to me quickly with useful information when I emailed them, but I won’t order from here again - the discount isn’t worth it.
Rubbish aftercare , avoid if you want good after care for iMac
Terrible awful company. Purchased an iMac from the Ed Store (note that they are owned by XMA, a company that has really poor reviews for businesses). iMac developed a fault during warranty where the same fault recently returned again outside warranty. Company wants me to pay over £722 despite their attempted repair failing just over a year and a half later.
Made a complaint, they don’t really care about customers. Won’t be buying from them ever again - informed Apple of the situation and they are investigating further as the manufacturer,
Avoid if you don’t want my experiences
Poor Customer Support
Brought a MacBook 3 years ago with a four year warranty. Since last 8 months trying to reach them as screen is gone black and is still under warranty. No response or help from their end.
Absolutely Shocking Support
Absolutely Shocking Support. Sent in an IPad Pro 12.9 for repair, replacement authorised on 31/10/2023 and still waiting for an ETA on the replacement. If I had purchased this direct from Apple, I would have immediately received a replacement . Massively regret purchasing from Edustore.
My advice - please purchase directly from Apple and get Applecare and use your education discount.
DO NOT ORDER FROM EDUSTORE - Their 3 year warranty does not mean anything!
Shocking customer service
Shocking customer service. No aftersales support at all, literally no point in advertising the 4 year warranty. Utter scam. Avoid. The saving is not worth it
Be VERY careful buying from these
Be VERY careful buying from these. Whilst the prices are good (about the same as Apple education), you get tricked by saying there is a four-year warranty. Problem is that should you use that warranty you are then told the damage is not covered and you are faced with a bill costing more than twice the value of the machine
Scam would be to kind a word.
Appalling Customer Service - Completely Ignored.
Appalling customer service.
Completely ignore my emails.
No telephone number.
Having to resort to a charge back from credit card company.
Never again!
Very very disappointing
Very very disappointing! I placed an order for an item that had "Usually dispatched within 5 working days". 13 days after I placed the order, I get an email saying that the item is "End of line" and they can't process my order and will only process a refund. A refund will take 7 to 10 days. So in essence, I have wasted a total of 23 days with this company.
NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL -
I ordered a iPhone on 6th of June it’s now 10th of August and no sign of it - they said in beginning it was stock supplies and thought ok that’s fine, but 2 months down the line no updates and no phone !! It was a present for my daughters birthday!! Some present! No updates etc which should have been sent it now says online delivery within 5 days ! In the last week I have sent 5 emails all have been given a different unique case number which is worth nothing - not one actual reply ‘ I’ve put urgent on it etc I cannot find any other emails or telephone numbers to speed up - all I want now is a refund- shocking service - I’ve ordered before and no trouble but this time absolutely shocking service!!! I work in a university and wouldn’t advise any students to buy from there at all !!!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD BE PRIORITY!!!!
Ordered macbook pro m1 max in November…
Ordered macbook pro m1 max in November 2021 its now 7 months have had no response from the company and other people who ordered then have received there laptop. Have explained that i need it for uni in September but no reasonable excuse given just world shortage standard email sent. Cant believe a company can keep over£2500 and not even send you a product with in reasonable time? Everyone who has bought from apple has had there laptop yet a big company like this one cannot honour their commitments really dissapointed
Service/warranty/discount for students
Great service and warranty. Amazing discount for students.
Never buy any item out of stock.
I brought a MacBook pro 16 inch M1 MAX on 11/26/2021, NOT dispatched until April 2022. Brought a homepod mini says USUALLY DESPATCHED WITHIN 5 DAYS, however after 2 weeks, still waiting for stock. NEVER buy any item out of stock. For items in stock, I don't know whether they lie in the delivery time.
Fantastic service.
Fantastic service.
Laptop arrived well within the 'Within 30 days' estimate and came brand new & impeccably packaged with 4-year guarantee.
Don't hesitate to take advantage of your education discount- if it works out cheaper here then buy!
Lie about stock levels
Needed to buy a 4 pack of Apple Airtags urgently for my father who suffers from dementia. Their Website clearly says its in stock. It clearly says order by 3pm to get next day delivery. Having ordered in the morning, waited all day for dispatch only to login and see the status as waiting stock in the order (but the product listing says in stock). Now I want to cancel the order, but of course, theres no telephone number. If I had know they lie about stock levels I would have ordered off ebay which actually had cheaper prices, but theres me thinking this seller is more legit and trustworthy. Do not trust there listings and avoic giving them your business for the sake of a couple quid of saving.

Macbook Pro - 4 months and still nothing
Ordered a Macbook Pro at the end of November 2021. It is now mid-April 2022 and still no delivery.
Of course the company isn't responsible for supplier stock shortages (although other 3rd party Apple sellers have had far less of an issue).
Despite being out of stock at time of ordering, the company immediately charged in full, rather than waiting until dispatch. Furthermore communication is very poor - I've received a single email saying they are still without stock and no estimated date for fulfilment.
The company also do not have a telephone number on their site (that I could find anyway). Its email or webform. I'm sure it is a legal requirement to have a contact phone number and address published - neither of which this company appear to do.
Pricing was competitive at time of ordering - but now many items are cheaper direct from the likes of Amazon, making the "student discount" a moot point.
UPDATE: Cancelled order. Promised refund within 7 days. The refund still not received on day 8. Company held nearly £3000 of my money for 5 months - nice little earner for them.
Great price, slow delivery
The order for the iPad was a great price, but delivery was a bit slow.
Still will order again
