Tenpin is great. It's what you expect. The only reason it got 4 stars was because there are never enough smaller balls or they are all xsmall finger holes. Otherwise it's a good trip out and usually... See more

It was very easy to book and as it was a family outing it was very enjoyable for the children with bowling drinks and something to eat

The pizza was over cooked. I ordered cheesy chips and got normal chips. I didn’t query this at the time as we only had the lane for an hour and when going up to the bar / check in there usually is a long queue which would have used up our bowling time. There also was a shortage of the lighter balls which seem silly as it was half term and almost every lane was being used by children.

Food was absolutely appalling! And for and hour you only get one and a half games not 2

Great, customer service were super helpful, I had somehow managed to click the wrong time after checkout, they were very helpful and changed straight away. The kids also had a fab time.

Amazing staff.
Shame about some of the customers!
One member of staff, carrying a mop and bucket, was pushed into by a toddler and her mother. He ended up covered by the contents of the bucket, but he remained calm and polite despite being ignored by the customer.
I would return but on a quieter day. Great service. Thank you.

We paid for an hour of bowling and a pizza as deal for my daughter's birthday. We have two young children, one is 18 months old and we needed a highchair. In the WHOLE of tenpin, they have ONE highchair that has broken straps. This meant we couldn't use it because our 18 month old can climb out. So it was unsafe!
We were in the middle of our second game when the hour timer ended and literally cut our game off. This upset my daughter as it was her birthday treat!
The pizza that came with the deal was awful, it was burn and hard

Staff while booking in friendly and helpful
The thing that spoilt it tables by the lanes were not cleared of dirty glasses and food containers very often

Tables dirty
Customer service ignoring you
We got sticky table and asked for cleaning and take them ages to come and wiped
Bar customer service slow and moody like you annoy them when they are on the phone scrolling

Customer service was terrible, we was told staff and managers would come and see us and help us no one showed, waited 40 mins for food after being told it was 10 minutes and the food was that bad it went back and we got a refund!

This was an excellent night out with our local youth group, catering to a range of needs.

Inattentive staff. Extremely loud music. So loud that one can hardly have a conversation.
Our alley broke down twice.

All 4 lanes worked well without any breakdowns, as we had quite a few people with physical disabilities, there could have been more than two ramps to access the alley itself.

I had a deeply disappointing experience at the Cambridge site. I was in town meeting friends and family, and what was meant to be a fun afternoon turned into a very frustrating one.
We were a group of 12, spent around £180 on the lanes and also ordered food. Unfortunately, the food service was extremely poor. During our second game, I ordered two more portions of curly fries for the kids. After waiting 30 minutes with nothing arriving, I approached staff and explained that we were nearly finished with our game. I was told the food would be with us in two minutes. It never arrived.
Once we finished, I went to the counter to cancel the order as we were leaving. I was then told the food was ready and that someone had attempted to deliver it but had been told it wasn’t theirs. That may be possible, as half our group had finished early and their lane had been reassigned. Apparently the food had been brought over, but none of us saw it. I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt that we may have been distracted by the game, however, the issue was never properly resolved. Even though I repeatedly told when I placed the food order that we are on lanes 11 and 12.
What surprised me most was the lack of ownership and attentiveness. When I expressed my frustration about the delay and handling of the situation, I was told I was being “rude”, and this came from managers. At that point, I simply walked out as I couldn’t be bothered to argue further.
A £10 refund is not going to make anyone rich, especially when I had already spent over £200. This was about courtesy, accountability, and basic customer service — all of which were significantly lacking. There is clearly room for improvement in staff training, particularly how customer concerns are handled.
I won’t be returning to Tenpin nor would anyone in our group.

We had our sons tenth birthday party and the kids had fab fun! The service was good and got us different lanes when we requested. Overall a very happy birthday boy!

Staff lovely. The cleanliness wasn't great. Rubbish on floors and tables, tables dirty. Our lane was full of empty glasses and sticky table, surely this should of been checked and cleaned after the last bowlers, ready for the new bowlers, would of made our bowling experience a lot nicer.
