Great experience

We bought My Run and received a customer service phone call very soon after to discuss delivery. We assumed it might take 2 or 3 weeks to arrive but Technogym confirmed they could deliver by the end of the week!

On the day of delivery, everything went smoothly and the delivery team set up the machine pretty quick before leaving.

I would highly recommend!

WATCH OUT!!

WATCH OUT!!! Very bad service, for three times they arranged delivery and for three times they didn't show. First time they did not even call, and did not even call back after I called them to ask what had happened. Frankly they use the worst delivery service I have ever experienced.

Technogym Bike (and a headache)

I ordered the Technogym Bike in January 2022 along with the accompanying cycle shoes.

The bike is a solid piece of kit as you would expect of a bike costing in excess of £2K and it looks great, the magnetic resistance works well and the ride is very smooth with next to no sound at all. Up front it has a large screen which is bright and clear on which you can access on demand spin classes, Netflix, Facebook etc - the entertainment options are second to none with no other bike of this type allowing such access to 3rd party applications.

There also is (apparently) Bluetooth connectivity to apple watch and wireless headphones. I say apparently because on my machine this has never worked despite numerous chats with their tech team. Not a huge problem in itself but when shelling out this much for a spin bike I expect all the features to actually work. Lets call that problem number 1.

As with most home spin bikes of this type a subscription is required to get the most out of the bike which here comes from 1rebel costing around £30 per month. There are hundreds of on demand and live classes catering to all language and abilities, however I found these classes to be VERY poor. The instructors were incredibly annoying (even for spin instructors) and the music, which for me is at the core of the spin experience was almost none existent and what there was I found to be droning and monotonous and not at all motivational. (That's problem 2)

I cannot review the cycle shoes because at the time of writing, these have not arrived. I naturally expected these to come with the bike but after chasing this up with Technogym I was advised that these would need to come from Italy and would not be in stock until May - it would have been nice to be told this at the time of ordering but hey at least I was offered a refund for the shoes which is nice - well it would have been if I had actually received the money back. I have now spoken to their customer service team numerous times and the refund has still failed to materialize. While we are on the subject, their customer service advisers, while pleasant enough, are next to useless. I eventually got to speak to a Manager who tells me she has processed the refund but... surprise surprise... my bank account is still shy of the cost of some very expensive cycling shoes (is that problem 3 or 4? I've lost track)

Given all of the issues I have decided to return the bike (we will see how long that refund takes to materialize) and have instead opted for a commercial grade, screen-less spin bike which I have bought a long with a brand new ipad pro to run Les Mills on demand.... and guess what? I've still saved myself a few hundred quid (Assuming I actually get my refund - but I'm nothing if not optimistic) and I am guaranteed a better quality workout

The bike itself is good but as with a lot of the products that have become available off the back of the "at home cycling revolution" its too concerned with its gimmicks rather than focusing on a top notch spin experience.

If you need the big garish screen, get a peleton - if like me you're a spinning purist there are better bikes available that do a better job for a fraction of the price.

Probably avoid this one guys

I had to place two orders through a representative via email from the US, and the representative that helped with the transaction could not have been more helpful. From putting the orders together immediately to following up to make sure everything was done properly. No complaints, serioisly appreciate TechnoGym and special shout out to Luke Finlay!

Had an online conversation with Luke

Had an online conversation with Luke, he was very informative and helpful. At no point was I pressured he just gave me some good info on the MyRun treadmill. I’ve been looking at loads of treadmills and because of his good customer service it made me make the final decision in buying the MyRun. Experience up until now has been great , let’s hope it continues and the product turns out to be as good as they promise. Thanks so far Luke. 👍

Extremely Poor online delivery experience

Ordered a gym mat early September with expected delivery date 3-4 working days after. No news from Technogym for 3 weeks until they finally inform me the order is now with FedEx and that all inquiries had to be sent to FedEx… who are impossible to contact. Product stuck in FedEx warehouse close to my place but “pending delivery” now showing for a couple of weeks… cancelled my order today as nobody seems in charge.
While Technogym products are indeed very good, I would not recommend their online ordering services, who do not manage anything end to end. A pity

I bought a Myrun in january this year

I bought a Myrun in january this year, and i'm very happy with it, however i can't give a full 5 star rating since i'm reviewing the firm and not the equipment.

The first delivery date was quite fast and communication through email was good, i gave them info they needed to get it up 2 stairs, they even needed photo's taken so supplied it, so far so good, than the delivery date came, told them before they can't enter the street with a big truck so please deliver with a small truck, you can guess it already a big truck!!! Than the man came inside he was litteraly i'm here to inspect the situation first if i think we can't get it upstairs i will not even unload the equipment. he just looked up the first step looked up and said nope this wont work i can deliver it on ground floor or not!!! no discussion possible, so i went like goodbye and phoned costumer service, now i have to say they took it well and also promised me a new delivery with another delivery firm. almost 2 months later i finally got a call that the new date was set, and yes a small truck with 2 people, they didnt even check if lifting it would be a prob they went on and took it upstairs in one walk 15 min later everything was working and they were gone (strange that they need to hire an external firm to deliver because their own delivery service refuses).

The Myrun itself is great, i took it because i'm obese and the equipment can handle bigger load.
I don't have any problems even a few months later with the treadmill.

The software is great also, however i find a regular problem with the bluetooth communication between Iwatch and the Myrun, during the exercise somtimes the connection with the iwatch fails and the myrun shuts down in exercise, thats quite annoying. resynchronising and starting a new exercise is than the only option meaning you have one or multiple exercises instead of one.

Also the updates of the software were very low in the beginning, last few months it seems however development of the app has finaly been upped. The app has so much options.
The training schedules are mainly focussed on normal people and it would be nice if the firm would also be more focussed on orienting on obese people, meaning that the first few months i couldnt finish any of the training schedules on the app and was mainly doing my own. I like the schedules with a trainer they get you motivated, but not being able to use it directly cause you need to op your condition first is not motivating.

Than i mis a maintenance schedule, i would think maintenance will be necessairy at one point, and it would be nice also as an offered plan by technogym.

But do not let those points stop you from buying a myrun, because it's a great treadmill, and i would buy it again without hesitation, it's sturdy, the software is great (bluetooth connection with iwatch less), there is no regret in buying this treadmill.

Price is expensive however, but it's also possible to setup a payment plan.

Technogym Bike - Excellent

I got the bike on finance but hesitated for months about whether or not to get it because it is a lot of money for me. I was also deciding between this one and the Peloton bike. I can honestly say that this is one of the rare occasions that I made the right decision. The Peloton bike pales in comparison to the sheer quality and commercial standard of this bike. It is a joy to use. The screen looks huge and is clear, and has so many options on it from outdoor to pre-recorded and live classes and even off-bike strength training classes (on the screen). The Technogym app which goes with it just has such a wealth of options, classes, programmes, it is actually impossible with as little time as I have to explore them all and so far I have nowhere near taken enough advantage of this bike and it's extras such as yoga and weight training classes on the work out section of the screen and the app. I can say it is 1000% worthwhile investment. You need to wear padded cycling shorts as the seat is hard and will hurt your bum, I had never used a spin bike before but I am told by friends who have that this is standard. Despite never having used one before this bike is so easy to get going on. The screen is all touch-screen, the gears go up and down easily with one spin of the resistance dial and it displays the level on the screen. The pedals have both cages for normal trainers and cleat-clip ins on the other side. I got some Nike spin shoes and SPD cleats which was a whole new world for me, and at first I found it impossible to clip in but then it just came to me and now it is easy. You just have to stand up until they 'click'. The screen shows your heart rate if you have a heart rate monitor. I bought a Polar H10 which connects perfectly. It stores your workouts to the Technogym app and if you use the Polar Beat App alongside the monitor you can also link that app and it shares information with the Technogym app. The bike tells you your distance, and what percentage of your calories and work out were endurance, fitness or fat burning. You can link up your wireless headphones, an Amazon Firestick or other media stick in the back, the bike comes with Netflix on the screen as an option to watch whilst training as standard but doesn't have Prime or Apple TV etc, but if you plug a firestick etc in the back of the bike screen (there is a USB port) you can access these. One suggestion I would make is decide where the bike is going in advance and get the delivery people to put it there and set it up there, as it is extremely heavy and hard to manoeuvre once it has been put down, especially due to the large screen which you don't want to crack. There are wheels on the front but you have to lift the back up to engage them and there is nowhere really to grip it to do this, and no handle, this is the one slight negative of the whole design. Now that I have it in place I have no need to move it again, but it was a nightmare getting it there. The delivery drivers would have done it but I hadn't decided when they came where to put it and just told them to leave it in the kitchen. It was delivered by two very nice friendly delivery men. The seat and handlebars can adjust easily with one touch of a lever, up and down or back and forward. It is exceptionally well thought out and well made, it feels like absolute quality. You need half decent wifi so the screen doesn't look scrambled/buffering, as it works off the internet the same as Netflix or anything else, and my sister who also bought the bike only had 1GB internet and this struggled until she upgraded, now the display is perfect like mine. You need to turn the screen on with a little button under it once the power is on, the bike could use some instructions for initial basic set up to cover items like this, which it didn't seem to come with. But it is easy to figure out. Once the screen is on and you have set up an account to log in with, the screen remembers your name each time and you just click it to log in. You can save multiple accounts on the bike in which case all the users names will be there when you turn it on. The small amount of set up then is setting up an account, which involves the usual process of user name etc. It is worthwhile to download the corresponding app on your phone which pulls in the stats from any workouts on the bike as well as linking up with google fit, apple health, your step count etc. and has so many different sessions on it such as strength, yoga, etc. I would recommend this excellent piece of kit to anyone considering getting a bike, and over the Peloton which I have also seen and is nowhere near as nice quality. Also, Technogym staff are so nice and accommodating. They call to make sure you are okay and are easy to contact. They even messaged me as an initial user of the app for any feedback and actually implemented my suggestions into the app. I literally couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Smart features don’t work at all

Trash. Bought a MyRun purely to use it with Zwift but it won’t connect because the firmware is out of date and you can’t update it yourself. This thing cost $5400! The entire point of a smart trainer is to be able to use Bluetooth yet it doesn’t work and when you ring the support line you get a sales person. Google reveals lots of people have the same issue.
