Chai tastes weak, doesn't have correct flavour profile. I'm impressed by the plant based tea bags, as usually being a coffee drinker the last thing I want is microplastics in my cuppa. 'Ethical'... See more

  1. Coffee Store

Written by the company

Back in 2006 the world of whole-leaf tea was boring, stuffy and outdated. Meanwhile, cool things were happening in the world of coffee. We saw the opportunity to get everyone drinking real tea again! And by real we mean big leaf and big on flavour. So, in November 2006 teapigs was born. Our mission today is the same as it was back in 2006: to get everyone drinking top quality, whole-leaf, great tasting tea - and to do business a bit differently while we're at it. All natural. No nasties. BIG leaf = BIG flavour. Simple!

Poor service. What has happened to Teapigs - they used to be great, but not now.

Hi. Still haven't received my order 998904. 9 days now.

Contact email link is not working on your website.
Coming up 404 page not found.

I also cannot log on to your new website with my old log in, even though the system copied it in.

Have emailed 3 times twice, no response.

Called many times to your number and left a message on your contact number, cannot get through, so have now had to result to contacting you via socials on Facebook and Instagram. Still no response.

Bit of a disaster really, we have been using Tea pigs for the last 9 years, and is it quite frustrating as a business.

Still waiting for a reply.

I will not be using Teapigs again after 9 years as a business. Shocking communication, I am not sure what has happened.

You have my money, I want my goods.

I have also written to your head office as it is impossible to get in touch.

It’s 2026 and this is what you came up with?

Wow guys, the service recently has been bad enough, but what have you done to the website?

Toddlers reflect the human face better with a paper plate and some pasta than you’ve managed to represent Teapigs in a web browser. Christ almighty.

Rubbish experience

Recently one of our bags was recalled...no problem there was in issue, it happens. Then I made an order for 6 different boxes as I usually would. Got an email to say one was out of stock, again this happens. However was then informed that during moving warehouses that my order would then be delayed, and was given another date for delivery. This came and went and another email.promised a different date. When they eventually came it was two boxes of teapigs I DID NOT order! God knows what has happened to my original order im waiting on another reply.
Fantastic teabags, rubbish customer service

Awful Service

Customer service is awful. After placing my order, it took five days just to receive an email saying it had been dispatched. When the order finally arrived, one of the items was missing.

I contacted customer support to report the missing item, but the communication has been dreadful. I only receive one reply per day, and the responses haven't been helpful at all. Instead of asking unnecessary questions and dragging things out, they should simply send the missing item—they already have all the order details.

Overall, a very frustrating experience, and I wouldn't recommend ordering from them based on the poor customer service alone.

I placed an online order 10 days ago…

I placed an online order 10 days ago and have heard nothing since. The order on the website says not fulfilled and the only way of contacting is via a contact form on the website from which I have received an AI bot response saying they have passed my concern to the right department to follow up. There is no email contact or phone number. My money has been taken and I have no way to speak to anyone or make a complaint. This level of service is appalling and I would not recommend anyone order directly from them but source their tea from elsewhere.

Dreamy night time tea

At the end of the night, sitting down to a cup of herbal tea is an absolute treat and finding Teapigs was a dream. Their night time teas and chamomile teas are delightful. They are nicely packaged, the website is easy to navigate, quickly delivered and the one time I needed it, their support was speedy and lovely. Highly recommended.

Everyday Brew Is No More.

Everyday Brew replaced.
Sadly the Everyday Brew, both loose and temples, have, according to the useless AI response on their web site, been replaced by English Breakfast. By comparison the loose version is like dust and lacks the flavour. What was previously substantial parts of leaves is no better than the contents of an average supermarket teabag, so fine that some passes straight through the finest strainer leaving a dusty sludge at the bottom of the cup. What a disappointment

Long term customer very disappointed

Twice just recently having placed an ordinary cash order and received the confirmation. I receive another separate email telling me I have subscribed to one of the items on my order and that it will be with me in 7 days. This company seems to look at cash paid orders, select an item from it and SAY that I have subscribed. I have been purchasing from this company for years and I do not subscribe but unfortunately I have had no reply to my emails. I have tried to delete the subscription they have put on my account on line and they won't let me. It is very stressful now buying from them and so I will report to their Head Office as recommended by my bank.

No response to query

I've used Teapigs Camomile temples for long time. However, last 2 boxes seemed different. Taste was weak, temples definately smaller and more dust and scum. So I wrote to them explaining with pictures comparing sizes, I wanted them to explain. That was month ago and NO RESPONSE. So I wrote again NO RESPONSE. I wasn't going to risk further purchases so I tried The Tea Makers of London Camomile Blossoms. What a difference, beautiful taste, highly recommend it made me realise Teapigs had been bland and wishy washy for some time. Shame on them for not responding to my questions, they obviously not interested in my custom but their loss as won't be buying again.

Shipping too expensive and wrong VAT

Love the tea, but shipping to Germany was way too high given the order size and VAT was also overcharged massively, supposedly calculated by Fedex, not Teapigs, in which case they really need to comnplain to Fedex, because tea should not have any VAT when shipped to Germany! Order arrived a week later than the maximum shipping frame, for which customer service gave me a 10% discount, but did not address the overcharged VAT issue except point to Fedex.
I have ordered tea from the UK multiple times from other vendors and never had these issues before, so unfortunately I won't be ordering again.

Always good from Teapigs

Always good from Teapigs. They do some lovely teas, particularly the Mao feng and popcorn tea, sadly they have stopped the fennel and liquorice which was incredible.

My only suggestion would be to use a different courier. My recent Royal Mail parcel arrived covered in bird droppings which as the parcel was a gift for someone was a bit disgusting.

Excellent customer service

I had an immediate response from AI that was slightly unnerving as it was so “human”. It clearly stated it was an initial AI response. The next day I had several helpful, supportive, polite email exchanges with Kira. These dealt with my issue and compensated me beyond my expectations. Thank you
