Thanks to TCH Used Vehicles, I am now left with damaged paintwork and have to pay an independent body shop to correct both the poor repair they carried out and the work they had originally agreed to complete. From my experience, this purchase was deeply disappointing from start to finish. Once payment had been made, the level of customer care appeared to decline dramatically.
My concerns began during the sales process. We traded in our Ford, which was in excellent condition, for a Mercedes. Throughout the sale, only one complete Mercedes key was shown to us. Whenever I asked to see the second key, I was assured it existed but it was never produced. Only after TCH had completed the purchase of our Fiesta, leaving us effectively without a vehicle before the Mercedes paperwork was finalised, was the second key finally handed over without explanation.
On inspection, I found the emergency key blade was missing from inside the fob and the retaining clips appeared to be broken. When I raised this with Deputy Manager Dan Cramp, I felt my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. Instead of acknowledging the condition of the key, I was told that perhaps Mercedes did not supply two keys, which did not explain why the second key was incomplete.
Collection day brought further frustration. Despite having trained technicians and diagnostic equipment, the dealership was unable to reset a service reminder. After waiting for more than two hours while several members of staff attempted to resolve the issue, it remained unresolved. My son later reset it in approximately two minutes using only the steering wheel controls. The lengthy delay was never acknowledged with an apology or any form of goodwill gesture.
Only hours before my original collection appointment, I was informed that collection had to be postponed because further work was required. As my insurance had already been transferred and I could not be left without transport, it was agreed that I would take the vehicle and return it for the outstanding work, including investigating a suspension noise, fitting missing trim and rectifying paintwork scratches.
When I returned the vehicle for that appointment, I was asked to arrive at 7:00 a.m. No courtesy car had been arranged, so I had to request a taxi instead. Seven hours later, having received no update, I discovered the vehicle had not moved at all. The vehicle's tracker indicated it had remained in exactly the same place throughout the day, despite me being told staff were looking at it. I also later discovered that the individual expected to carry out the paintwork was not even working that day. This suggested to me that communication between the sales and workshop departments was seriously lacking.
I was then told the suspension issue required parts to be ordered. This was difficult to understand because that appointment had been arranged specifically on the basis that the required parts were already available. I was subsequently informed the vehicle would need to be booked in again for two full days.
The final disappointment was the attempted paint repair. I was informed that a salesman, Luke Walters, had attempted to improve the scratches himself rather than the work being carried out by a paint technician. The scratches remained visible when I collected the vehicle. A further attempt by another salesman Tom using a scratch repair pen left the affected area looking noticeably worse in my opinion, although I was told it looked much better.
Throughout this experience, I frequently felt that my concerns were dismissed or not taken seriously. It was only after I attended with a male family member who has knowledge of cars that I felt my concerns received more attention.
To be fair, Allen and Carly at the workshop reception were professional throughout. They arranged a courtesy car for the next booking, kept me updated and treated me with courtesy. They were the only members of staff who consistently gave me confidence that they genuinely wanted to help.
Overall, my experience with TCH Used Vehicles was extremely disappointing. I found communication poor, promises were not always delivered as expected, and several issues required repeated visits without satisfactory resolution. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership and would not return for servicing or repairs.

From the moment I walked into the Huntingdon showroom, I was made to feel welcome by Malcolm Williams. He listen to what I wanted and talked me through some ideas. He explained things very clearly and made sure I understood before I made my decision.

An experienced traditional non pushy salesman who felt genuinely interested in helping. Tony Mahan was a pleasure to deal with. Having worked previously in the motor trade myself, he was like a breath of fresh air. No pressure, no constant calling to ask if im ready to 'commit' to buying a car. The only time ive ever bought a salesman cakes lol!

Extremely positive experience - no hard sell, helpful engagement and we found the perfect car. A mile away from horrid car supermarket experience. This was our second experience buying a modern Ford - both this one and the one in Chesterfield were great. Fantastic to see that real customer experience still exists.
Thank you to the team there.

What I had previously asked about was quickly answered. All queries were answered. Car was ready very quickly and except for missing a scratch at the front of the car which had to be dealt with the following week, the car was clean and ready for me to use straight away.

Needed to change my existing car having purchased before from TC Harrison for myself and partner a few years ago.
Popped into Huntingdon site and met by Daniel Wells, discussed my finances first to enable to find the cars within my budget
Vehicle was found and after test drive I was expecting the hard sell but was pleasantly surprised by the facts were presented and left me to make my own mind up with the option of walking away should I not like the offers suggested
Every thing was fully explained and upon collection all the necessary paperwork completed , keys handed over and off I went.
Catch up call a couple of days later to check all was well
Daniel stated he had recently joined Harrison’s so I think they have secured a good salesperson
Would recommend a dealership well run with no pressure put upon the buyer
