really helpful staff in Amy and Mya. would have given 5 stars but for the silly rule around not giving me exact dimensions of ONE wall as requested so that I can order furniture to go on that wall.... See more

You should be ashamed of yourselves. You have built properties (2021) that are impossible to cool unless air conditioning is installed. You let all the landscaping die, when we are in desperate need of those trees to grow and create at least some shade in years to come. How dare you take people's money for a home that may be warm in winter but is unbearable in summer - global warming is not a new concept. On top of that, your bricklaying is awful, I had reverse polarity electrics AND in several homes on this estate your builders forgot to connect the extractor fans!!!!!! I would never recommend you in a million years.

Avoid buying a new build from Taylor Wimpey — our experience has been extremely disappointing
We bought our Taylor Wimpey home in 2023 and, unfortunately, the issues started almost immediately. Within the first few months we experienced multiple problems that took months of chasing and repeated visits to resolve.
One ongoing issue was with our front door. After repeatedly reporting the same problem, one of Taylor Wimpey’s tradesmen behaved aggressively towards me while I was holding my newborn baby. After that experience, we stopped pursuing that particular issue because the process had become so stressful.
The biggest concern has been our dormer window, roof and installation. Just over two years after moving in, we discovered a significant amount of rainwater entering the property through the dormer window. We reported this in November 2025 and, despite months passing, we are still waiting for a proper resolution.
At this stage, it is clear that there are serious installation issues with the dormer, roof and window. We have reached the point where we are accepting a silicone patch repair simply to close the matter, fix the internal damage, and allow us to move on and sell the property.
The wider estate has also been a huge disappointment. The promised landscaping and playground facilities have not materialised, leaving the development feeling unfinished and falling far short of what was sold to buyers.
Buying a new home should mean peace of mind, quality, and support when things go wrong. Our experience has been the opposite — months of chasing, unresolved issues, poor communication, and a lack of confidence in the workmanship.
I would strongly encourage anyone considering buying a Taylor Wimpey property to do thorough research, speak to existing residents, and think carefully before committing.

We are absolutely delighted with our new build home. From start to finish, the whole experience has been fantastic, and we couldn’t be happier with the quality, finish, and attention to detail throughout the property.
The house has been beautifully built, with a modern design, excellent layout, and everything finished to a really high standard. It already feels like home, and it’s clear that a lot of care and pride has gone into every part of the build.
A special mention has to go to the amazing team involved. Everyone we dealt with was professional, friendly, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile. Their communication, support, and commitment made the whole process smooth and enjoyable.
We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new build home. Thank you to the entire team for creating such a wonderful home for us.

From start to finish Emma and James at Taylor Wimpey’s Wetherby site “Swinnow Park” were fantastic. After very difficult dealings with solicitors all the team from the cleaning staff, site managers and sales guided us through the process to ensure moving in day was as stress free as possible despite lack of commutation from solicitors. I also cannot fault the workmanship as everything is thoroughly inspected upon completion. Thanks to the guys at Swinnow Park Wetherby. We found our forever home.

From what I see and as far as I am aware it looks like Taylor wimpey is about to go out off business. As they are now stopping to pay sick pay for everyone which is against their own benefits policy. They treat people unfairly and only pay minimum wage to people who are working over time. They treat their employees unfairly and very disrespectfully. Also the general manager treats people like his own property.

Fully supportive every step of the process which at times was overwhelming for me selling and buying in one process solo. Someone was always available to provide information and advice. Special mention to Ian who with Emma suggested a beautiful property and made what was an emotional move much easier.

Very disappointing after-sales service – be careful before buying
I purchased a bungalow from Taylor Wimpey at the Lockside Wharf development in Stratford-upon-Avon, and my experience has been extremely disappointing.
After moving in, I discovered that there was no shaver socket in the bathroom. I contacted Taylor Wimpey and even offered to pay for the installation myself, but my request was refused. This was particularly frustrating because their website states that bathrooms are provided with a shaver socket.
Another major issue is the garden. Before I purchased the property, I raised concerns about the slope and was told by the sales office that there would only be a slight gradient. However, the reality is very different. The garden is uneven and becomes extremely steep from the middle to the end. I believe I was misled regarding the extent of the slope.
When I raised this issue with Taylor Wimpey, they refused to help and simply stated that I had signed the documents. I found this response very disappointing and feel that the information provided before purchase did not accurately reflect the finished garden. Prospective buyers should be very careful and ensure they fully understand what they are agreeing to.
Dealing with Taylor Wimpey often feels like a constant battle. They seem to have little regard for customer satisfaction and no longer appear to care about their reputation. As a homebuyer, I expected much better service and support.
To make matters worse, my neighbour purchased a property from Miller Homes, and the difference in customer care has been remarkable. Miller Homes have been far more responsive and have looked after their customers’ needs much better. In comparison, my experience with Taylor Wimpey has been extremely disappointing.
If it were possible to give less than one star, I would. What should have been an exciting experience buying a new home has instead been overshadowed by poor after-sales service, misleading information, and a lack of customer care.
