A refreshing change
Made such a refreshing change to deal with people who took the time to make a phone call to keep me updated instead of endless emails. I was able to use a local branch for various things. This made it easier rather than having to travel to the branch where the conveyancing team are based. The receptionist in Kidderminster was very friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend Sanjeev Sunder and his team (based in Dudley) for property transactions.

Lack of communication
Charlotte - paralegal, was very helpful in assisting to provide updates when I didn't receive any from the appointed solicitor and having to chase. On the day of my completion which is already stressful I received an out of office reply from my appointed solicitor when chasing to confirm completion and checking we exchanged the day before as I had no follow up. Charlotte picked up this slack to simultaneously exchange and complete on the planned date. Overall, not a great experience and a big lack of communication.

We found Talbots Law to be very polite and helpful and did not have any issues when needing to contacting them. Our only negative experience was the lack of clarity regarding providing evidence of where our source of funds came from. As cash buyers we feel this should have been explained to us at the very beginning of the process. Apart from this we were very satisfied with the service we received from them.

Very poor communication and…
Very poor communication and disappointing service
I wish there was a zero star option.
Unfortunately, my experience with this firm has been extremely disappointing. Communication has been very poor throughout my case, despite being told that things would improve.
A line manager assured me that my case was a priority, but the level of communication since then has not reflected this. I have also experienced conflicting information regarding emails. One solicitor confirmed receiving an important email on the Friday, yet when I spoke to my own solicitor the following Wednesday, I was told they had not seen it and, as a result, it had not been actioned.
I was also promised a call back on three consecutive days. Despite these promises, I am still waiting for that call.
Another major concern has been the request for private documents from a third party which, as far as I can see, are not relevant to my case. This has caused unnecessary concern and frustration, particularly when I have not been given a clear explanation as to why these documents are required or how they are relevant.
I completely understand that solicitors are busy and that cases can become complicated, but when you are dealing with something as important and stressful as a property transaction, you need to be able to trust that your solicitor is communicating with you, acting on important information and only requesting information that is genuinely necessary.
Promises to improve communication mean very little when the same issues continue. At this stage, I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the service I have received and would not recommend this firm based on my experience.
