Responsive and efficient after-sales service! After a few email exchanges, their helpful advice enabled me to resolve an issue with the wheel size setting, and I am now fully enjoying the kit installed on my Brompton.

Swytchbike to me, you were pioneers in converting existing bikes that people already had to electric pedal powering. The staff have open ears to listen to the needs of their customers. Shipping is dear right excellent to their estimated times. The upgrade was perfect, the ride is marvellous. Keep up the good job.

This is my second swytch kit one was for a brompton and this one was for my road bike. The kit is excellent i used it on holiday and it made it much easier to climb the hills. Also i ordered the kit and it came within 5 days. Great service. Chris

I bought 2 battery upgrades (GO+) spending roughly £1,000 on both.
They're now defunct. Not holding charge at all. Not had them all that long. Absolute waste of money (the original batteries I got with the original kit are working fine. They just don't last very long at all)

Absolute terrible customer service and ignorant agents. I don’t know how they manage to advertise on social media that they are innovative and good. but in reality they are attempting to intimidate customers and manipulate them in order to withhold their fund as long as possible. ( indirect scam )
Very stressful experience I am going thorough because of this company behaviour.
They never refunded me despite asking them to cancel as the dispatch time of the GO kit seem unknown.
Terrible experience with this company go shop where else it’s not worth it.

Kit worked for a few years then started making a horrible rumbling/grinding noise from the motor. When CS eventually replied to my ticket(597997) and associated videos they diagnosed a faulty motor. I kept asking if they were sure it wasn't the controller since it seemed more likely. Anyway, I paid £165 for a new wheel in Jan26 for delivery in Feb26. It got regularly delayed for unspecified reasons to March, April, May, Jun and eventually showed up in July. It was the wrong colour, but I could overlook that. Sadly it exhibits exactly the same issue as the original wheel - fails to power most of the time and when it does, makes a dreadful noise. No options to fix the root cause were suggested. I was assured I could return it for a full refund. It was duly sent back and i was assured "it takes up to 2 weeks to refund, but we will try and process it quicker". That was over 3 weeks ago. Utterly useless customer service and can't meet the timeframes they themselves give you for anything. Have now removed all of the Swytch bits and went and bought a Skarper which works beautifully and took minutes to fit.
Update - the day after I originally posted this they privately respond with "your refund has already been processed". In these days of instantaneous banking it does seem strange that the money has still not arrived in my account. Then again, this is Swytch who have not yet met a single one of their self-published deadlines

I can't understand why Swytch Bike has such trouble being transparent. Finding out how things actually work only through trial and error is extremely frustrating.

Here is my experience:

Noticeable Motor Drag: When the system is turned off, there is a clear drag. It is definitely not "drag-free" as advertised.

Unsuitable for Mountain Bikes: The kit is completely unfit for proper mountain biking or actual trails. While it works fine on mild inclines, the battery drains almost immediately as soon as you hit a serious climb. Fitting it for trail use was a complete waste of time and money.

Battery Life Overstated: In real-world conditions, the battery life is at least 30% lower than claimed.

Even though the system works fine on flat ground or light urban commutes, the marketing is completely misleading and the company takes zero responsibility for these discrepancies.

I strongly advise against buying this kit for mountain bikes. Please be honest about your product's actual limits and stop advertising features that don't match reality.

My Switch Kit arrived DOA and I can not reach a real human in customer support. The chat bot is about as helpful as a brick when it comes to customer support

The conversion work great. No issues installing the wheel and connections. The 1st gen battery only lasted a year before losing charge. I ordered a max battery and seems to work well. My biggest complaint is with the very slow delivery. The website should offer new batteries without any extras.

Beware if you have a Brompton and have gone for the 40 mile battery pack. I could not follow the instructions or videos as there were steps missing so I took it to a bike mechanics shop for them to do it (another £100) . The mechanism kept cutting out as it was reading the smaller Brompton wheel as reaching 15mph way too soon. The shop advised purchasing the OlED display (another £65) as using this cures the problem. Now it works and I’m happy cycling hills easily. But beware, if you are walking with your cycle or stop at a junction the bike can suddenly engage power and lurch forward if the pedals happen to move and activate the sensor.

This Go kit was a gift for my sister, who is an intermediate level cyclist.
I converted her bike which was fairly straightforward in about 3 hrs. I found it handled the road and hills beautifully. The front wheel conversion gives it flexibility to use it when needed and keep exercising as regular bike. Finally what mattered most is that she loves it. A great kit which I would recommend to others.

This was my second Swytch kit conversion. The new setup is amazing and is trouble free. Compared to my older kit, there's a lot more power and range and less sensitivity to vibration and bumps in the road which made my older kit a bit unreliable.

Well made, easy to assemble and good quality. I did not need any support in the process.

The gearing is incredible for climbing mountains/off road etc.
It is a little frustrating with no direct contact with your company. But when responses come they are thorough and complete.

Hi, it works well. But since having the new battery, the hand throttle is not engaging, which is annoying, as it is a good way to help you get moving, especially on an incline. Like with the last battery, I've connected it to the battery pack. I noticed in one of the reviews that you sent out a new battery holder, and that rectified the issue. Can you offer any help, please
