Online shopping and affiliate marketing…
Online shopping and affiliate marketing offer flexibility in working without requiring a large capital investment, with unlimited growth opportunities and a diverse range of products to promote. However, this field faces intense competition and requires time and effort to build a reputation and audience, as well as the risk of being overly dependent on companies that may change their policies. Additionally, technical challenges and the temptation to purchase products yourself can arise. The experience could be improved by increasing transparency, providing better support, developing accurate tracking tools, and encouraging collaboration among marketers. To achieve success, it's important to focus on creating real value, using modern marketing strategies, and continuing to learn and adapt.
They stole over $1,000 clothes from me
I sent over $1000 of clothes to Swap.com in 2022. I got emails that they accepted the clothes, listed them, and occasionally got emails that clothing sold. Fast forward, I am now unable to access anything in my account, I haven't gotten paid, and my clothes are gone. Support says there isn't an account with my email in their system which cannot be true. They have stolen from me.
Poor buyer experience
Poor buyer experience. Out of pocket. Not worth the time and effort
Is it just me òr has the thrift online…
Is it just me òr has the thrift online companies lost their mind?
Unbelievably high priced.
Plus shipping?
Heck I can shop Macy's clearance cheaper and not used.
This used to be my favorite go to…
This used to be my favorite go to online thrift. Now, it is completely impossible to find what you want. The new changes are terrible. I will never shop with them again.
Vague descriptions and the worst customer treatment
Vague descriptions of items without measurements or back of item pictures and anti-customer service make this a site a true gamble. You may accidentally get a good item here and there but you will almost certainly have one or more items canceled per order and should you receive velvet dress pants with rhinestones when you ordered plain black casual pants they may send a snarky reply "cannot issue a refund for the pants as there is nothing physically wrong with the pants, and what you described is a customer choice issue." She then she further clarifies: "We refund any item that is damaged, significantly differs from the listing--purchased a pair of pants and got a dress falls under this category." She warns there are no options for "buyers remorse" so buyer beware as you are very likely to have remorse here at some point. It is not worth the CS disrespectful tone to reach out nor the irritation (colors are also very off in their pictures so keep this in mind if you decide to risk it.)
Disappointed seller
I am never going get a return to cover the postage of the clothes! Just a huge loss, better off to advertise on FB market place.
After change of owners, AVOID
Any good reviews prior to this site being taken over by some Shopify format ("The Jay Group" is their customer service response handle) should be invalidated. As of at least 2023 this website is shady--orders taken weeks ago are not moving, the returns policy has become too strict given the thrifted items too. They used to have detailed photos for all the listings. Now you're lucky if you get two views of a product you know they won't let you return. '
The only reason I made my most recent order was because I had store credit from the previous owners that I needed to use before it expired. Order was placed on January 13th and there's been no move and their customer service response was essentially a shrug.
Swap.com is over, it's a shame.
They canceled my order for no reason…
So I ended up ordering over $100 worth of clothes for my growing son (in the sizes that fit him now and for the future since he’s growing so fast) and I was excited to finally find an online thrift store for boys clothes since again, he grows so fast that I hate buying brand new clothes for him now. After a few weeks with no shipping information or no information period, I got an email saying I was refunded from this shop. All it says was because of “unforeseen issues”. I was looking forward to getting the clothes I purchased since they seemed to be in great condition and good name brands as well. Yes, I did get my money back but that’s not the point. I’d rather have my purchases than the money. If they didn’t have the clothes I purchased available then why would they be on the website for purchase? I’m very frustrated right now because I have to go search once again for another online clothing store and repurchase clothes for my boy. I’m not purchasing anything from this store again. I probably should’ve have read the reviews before attempting to purchase from them. Lesson learned..Anyways, beware making any purchases with this company. ((The reason I gave them 2 stars instead of one is because of the fact that i was able to get my money back but that’s the only reason.))
It took forever to receive my purchase…
It took forever to receive my purchase (3 weeks) and then a few items were missing although credited. No customer service phone number, only email which no one ever contacted me. I’m not sure I would use them again.
Horrible I paid for three cardigan…
Horrible I paid for three cardigan sweaters came to a total of $27.84 which included the postage I only received one sweater they lied on the invoice and said the total order was $9.99 but they only refunded me $6.42 so they still owe me a refund of $17.85 I have the bank records to prove this. This company is getting worse and worse they have messed up three orders in less than a years time. Save yourself some aggravation and don't shop there it's hit or miss
Swap.com can't read sizes
My original order had 5 items but one item must not have been available and a partial return on my order for this one item was given.
I received 4 pair of pants, all of which were supposed to be size 24. Only 1 pair was the correct size. One pair of pants was XS - Waist 24-25 inch, NOT SIZE 24. The 2nd was a pair of jeans which were 24 x 33 inch, NOT SIZE 24.
The 3rd pair of pants was brand denim 24/7, size 16W, NOT SIZE 24. All of these sizes were on tags on each pair of pants.
I wanted to return these 3 items due to the incorrect size from what was stated on their website, but because of the partial refund they had issued for an item that was unavailable, it would not allow me to get to their return portal. Also, the only contact is to send an email, which so far, has not been answered.
This is not the first time they have sent items that are not as stated on their website, but they wouldn't let me return or receive a refund for them. This is the last time I will order from Swap.com.
Ordered $123 of clothes, $22 unfulfilled due to inventory issues, then no contact and denied returns
Swap.com has always had rough edges, like their clothes being delivered smelling of a moldy warehouse, inventory issues (wrong sizes, items listed that they don't have), orders sent out after 6-8 weeks! But this is the worst experience I've had yet. ~1/5 of my order didn't even get sent, because they didn't have it, and because they used the return system to issue a partial refund for that part of my order, I could not initiate a return for items that were the wrong size. I contacted support well within the 30-day window to report his and request a return, but I still have not heard back from any of multiple emails. I looked up their support number, but it isn't even connected anymore. They have gone from good deals with bad fulfillment and service to just a miserable mess that's not worth the trouble anymore.
Use Poshmark not Swap.com
We sent 25 high end name brand items and they confirmed receipt of box, then kept promising to post items. They lost the items then promised to compensate us with $100, but that was lie and never sent it. They strung us along for more than a year. They said via BBB they would send $ but never did despite promises.

Unable to get into my account. They send message that they have sent me a code by email but I’ve not received it.
When requesting support either by phone or email, they do not respond.
ZERO STARS!
ZERO STARS!! AWFUL COMPANY! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I don't know who bought this company, but I am owed $1,600 since the sale of it! I have sent DOZENS of unanswered emails and have now filed an official complaint with the BBB, and next will be to the FBI
Cancelled order 2 weeks later
What happened to swap.com
What happ to swap.com? What happened??? It is horrible now! The sizes are all jacked up when you try to view clothes; the prices are way too high, nothing under $5, nothing anymore. They ruined this site. Do not shop here, you will be very sorry. I was a loyal customer for so many years and then blam, the website was taken over my morons! It is the worst, stay away!!
No, not ever - don’t waste your time or money
I’ve shopped and sold with Swap for maybe 5-6 years. Initially they were great. I’ve bought everything from kids clothes to formals to shoes. They boosted their selection criteria. And got pickier on what they accepted from sellers. All good. Their boxes went from cute branded to barely staying together and most all arrived damaged and partially opened. They started charging for returns. Okay.
Then the big switch to Shopify. With that conversion, the lost all prior accounts. So EVERYtHING I had there for sale disappeared. My inventory of items was gone. My store credit was gone. And I had just placed a several hundred dollar order. There was no way to track it. But they had my money. Eventually pieces and parts of the order arrived. Not all. It made zero sense. After MONTHs and MONTHs and MONTHs of emailing and calling…they responded and gave me a store credit. I placed one order and returned part. I placed another order and went to return - they’ve no adopted a no returns policy. When I emailed customer service, they replied that the policy changed last month. I’ve asked to speak to a manager.
It is most unfortunate that a once really good option for buying and selling clothes has such poor customer service and poor policies. Are they trying to go out of business?
On boy...
On boy...! Lets look at the facts.
My wife and I have been buying from swap for nearly 6yrs now.
But over the past two years the merchandise has gotten progressively worse. Even below Goodwill and Salvation Army spects.
The prices don't match the quality of the garbage they are selling. All this bullsh_t they have come up with concerning returns and shipping causes us to dis-
continue our consumer relationship with this A_s of so-called company.
BEWARE of this rip off game that they are playing. They will send you whatever they want to send you knowing that its incorrect. Remember only in house repurchase's.
Don't even try to get help! They only employ the owners children and their friends to gather your paid choice of item to fill your order. Do you really think they give a damn about your order. H_ll NO!
Believe me when I tell you, that
Swap is at its end. Only if they lower the prices substantially can they remain in this market.
Seeing now that Swap is surely being ran by greed. The previous owner's cared and offered a fair price and products.
