This car rental place overcharges after agreed prices. I booked a rental from this company in May 2026 via expedia for a cheap car for the week for about $150. The day that I picked up the rental they charged my card an additional $600 with no notification. I disputed with the credit card company. The day that I returned the vehicle, the company denied knowing anything about the $600. Prior to leaving for the airport, the chaffeur had me complete a review saying they were awesome and giving names (so do not give props if you see similar reviews). 3 months later the company came back at my credit card company for another $400. I tried to call the car company a couple of times but they do not answer the phone. Heed this warning: you are better off going with a more well known company.

Poorly organised service
Poorly organised service. An excessive 1.5-hour delay at collection, apparently because only one member of staff was managing everything. The office is small, shared with another business and not at the Olbia airport. I booked Toyota Yaris but was given Seat Arona. Limited English made communication extremely difficult.

Forced €320 insurance - My son was scammed at Surprice rent car at Sarenda!
I am writing this review regarding my son's rental through Auto Europe réf 342597245
At the Surprice rent car desk in Sarenda , the SurPrice agent refused his payment card under the classic pretext that it was a "debit card", refusing to even try it in the machine. My son offered to pay the deposit in cash, but he refused. He was forced to pay an extra €320 for local insurance on the spot, or he wouldn't get the car.
This is a not honest practice to extort money from young tourists. This is not legal . I expect Auto Europe to investigate this partner and provide a refund. My son is still waiting to be refund ! Avoid SurPrice !

A perfectly fine experience
It was perfectly fine. We were picked up, left the airport within 5 minutes, 5 minutes later we arrived at the car hire place. The pick up process was smooth but REMEMBER they don't accept AmEx! Nikos the driver was very friendly, spoke perfect English and offered great advice about local surroundings. The car was an automatic Peugeot 308 which was fine for us.

My worst experience with a car hire company
The Surprice car hire agency at Naples Airport won’t accept my credit card for the security deposit.
They won’t give me the car unless I buy their insurance package for 40 euros a day. I refuse, but I’m left without a car. I’d like to point out that my credit card is a physical card issued by Italy’s second-largest banking group; it uses the Mastercard network, but according to Surprice it’s a ‘DIGITAL’ card and therefore unsuitable for paying their deposit. After reading the reviews (I should have done so earlier), I realised that mine was not an isolated case but a predatory business strategy by the company, which unscrupulously aims to increase its profits. Obviously, this is at the expense of customers.
