SunTrust worse then 3rd world banking

I am in Dominican Republic. I have many crypto accounts and other bank accounts. My debit card was blocked for security reasons. I called my personal banker where I have my corporate account they couldn't help me. The they had me go through customer service where I waited 55 minutes the first time. Nobody answered. Since I'm out of the country my cell provider charges me . 29 per min. So I spent 15 dollars there. Then I called back and waited over an hour now my cell bill for calls is at around 30 dollars, I finally got someone in customer service who could not help me. They transferred me to the security Dept. I finally got my card unblocked. Story does not end here. I told the security person that I have many accounts and that im in the Dominican Republic please make a note so my card does not get blocked again. So here we are 3 weeks later my card is blocked for security reasons again. I can not get cash from my account. I called again went through the same process as mentioned this time NO INE ANSWERED THE CS LINE AFTE 1 HOUR AND A HALF. NOW my cell bill for the month calling to fix my blocks is around 80.dollars I have no resolution. I will have to change my flight back to the USA to take my money out of this bank. Hotels, rent a car, gas time and another round trip ticket to Dominican republic. Do this while ordeal when it's over and done with will have cost me. Over 1000 dollars. HOW THEY ARE EVEN STILL IN BUSINESS IS BEYOND ME. WORSE DECISION BANKING WITH THIS BANK OF MY BUSINESS CAREER IN 40 YEARS. TOTAL NIGHTMARE. DONT USE THIS BANK. THERES systems are 1970 there protocols ares stupid there CSV is none existent. Runaw

Horrible

If there were an option for negative stars I would it to this clunky banking app. Makes me so #%*!! mad when I use It. If it’s not better soon I’m switching banks over it. Have had SunTrust for almost 30 years. Not sure why they changed the interface. Can’t get it to deposit checks. Super frustrating.

Terrible service, terrible wait times, no resolution to my problem

I only have a vehicle loan with suntrust. I simply was trying to access statements online and could not do so. I called, waited hour on hold, and was told that it should be fixed now. Waited a day, didn’t work. Called again, waited an hour on hold - person I got said I needed to be transferred to another department. Transferred and have been on hold another hour. Absolutely zero excuse for this kind of service.

Card on block

Card on block, 2 hours and 2 hang ups while on hold to unlock it.

I could physically go and close my account and open another one at another bank faster.

Unacceptable.

As a BBT customer over the past 30…

As a BBT customer over the past 30 years throughout the many mergers I have to say whoever designed this garbage website should be tarred and feathered. Over my 50 years in the IT Industry I have never seen a worse designed website my 9 yr old grandson could have done a better job. The previous BB&T website I could check the status of pending payments, my credit score and other important bank info, all I see here are cash rewards and "insights"????. No way to contact anyone via Email. Truist spend some $$$$ and get a REAL website developer and scrap this piece of garbage.

It’s just terrible. The other app was easy to use and this one is just horrific. I’ve been with SunTrust over 20 years. I’m going to look elsewhere, just awful

Truist...you are truly the WORST bank…

Truist...you are truly the WORST bank ever! 16 years with SunTrust and not one issue. Now? Well, I'll be on my way to Chase. You've royally screwed the app and now, at CHRISTMAS I can't get Zelle to do anything but FAIL. Maybe you'll explain to my family why they have no Christmas gifts?

I loved SunTrust and this Truist APP SUCKS!

I have no idea how to navigate and find the accounts I pay Automatically. I am Web App Developer with 20 yrs of experience and this thing is HORRENDOUS. I want OUT of this disaster. After 12 yrs with SunTrust thinking of finding a new Bank. UNFREAKINGHAPPY with this!

have been with SunTrust for twenty…Totally DissatisfiedTotally Disappointed
I have been with SunTrust for twenty two years and have never had any issues. The Tellers have always been great. Service was always above and beyond as well! The On-Line banking APP was always very easy to Navigate. However, as of late, the “TRUIST” On-Line Banking APP is a total disgrace! It is the most unfriendly, labor intensive, works only sometimes and you cannot do many of the functions in a very simple manner!
In simple words, it is truly a “DISASTER”! Why. change something that has been working for many, many years and introduce a totally childish On-Line banking APP that is full of disaster at every function? A tier one Programer could have done better!
Bad move TRUIST! You have totally turned me off to your Programers that put this APP together! Was it fully tested prior to release? Apparently it does not appear so! I worked for a very, very large company and did programming. This is embarrassing to have to rate this program! It is terrible!
You programmers should just bring the old APP back! Change in this case was definitely the wrong change!

I used to really like suntrust..…

I used to really like suntrust.....but lately.....their service and online banking has gone right into the crapper. My online password just quit working. It always worked. When I went to put it back it....the system kicked me out and said I had to call them. I called...the automated system put me on hold for 30 minutes....and kicked me off again. Looks like their merger means more to them than their customer service. I'll be leaving shortly.

I would give 0 stars is it was a choice. Yesterday I called several numbers to speak with someone and the numbers “could not be completed.” Then, when I finally got through, I couldn’t figure out how to get someone to speak with me. I FINALLY spoke with a human I was put on hold. 1 hour and 20 minutes later the phone disconnected. The same thing is happening today. I ha e been on hold so far for 1 hour and 23 minutes and all I need is a piece of paper from them. Every time I deal with them it seems no one knows how the help. The only reason I am dealing with Truist is because they bought my loan from another party. I would never use them on my own.

Too bad there isn't a negative star…

Too bad there isn't a negative star rating. The new app is the worst i have ever seen. You'd think they would improve or at least keep the old app. This new app is difficult to move through and a complete disaster, Truist obviously doesn't care about customer service. I may be making a change after 22 years with SunTrust.

This is the worst bank I've dealt with…

This is the worst bank I've dealt with in 18 years as a realtor. My clients were purchasing a home today in Wisconsin and moved from Virginia Beach. Not only are they not going to get the house they are going to loose all of their earnest money because SunTrust in refusing to send the wire transfer to the Title Co for their new purchase. Apparently they would have had to set that up IN PERSON PRIOR to leaving the state. BEWARE!!! You may also lose your dream home and earnest money if you use this bank.

ABOMINABLE service.

Suntrust's customer service is nothing short of abominable. I can't log into my online account. Every time I try, I get an error message saying my login information is incorrect for business banking -- even though I repeatedly select "Online banking." Waited 27 minutes to speak to a "customer service representative," who was completely unintelligible, with a garbled east asian accent and what sounded like a tin-can-and-string connection. To make matters worse, you have to listen to a tortuous cacophony of so-called music that literally sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard. After stewing in that environment for nearly a half-hour on hold, I felt like screaming. I should add that this has been my experience through all the years I have been foolish enough to be with this loser bank. CLOSING MY ACCOUNTS A.S.A.P.

the WORST costumer service

They have the WORST costumer service ever. You can wait over 30 minutes and when costumer service representative finally answered me, I can hardly understood what he was saying, then he transfered me to other department and I needed to wait ANOTHER 25 MINUTES.

Suntrust's app was bad but the Truist…

Suntrust's app was bad but the Truist app is the WORST in the banking industry! You can't see what's paying out at a glance & all my bill pay accounts are out of alpha order. Truist go back & look at Suntrust's functioning app & this is not just because Truist app is "new". I also use Navy Federal & Wellsfargo apps, both great! Truist "0" stars!
