A complete waste of time trying to sell with these. Communication and follow-up have been extremely poor throughout.

I specifically requested that the price of my property be reduced while we were travelling in order to encourage a quicker sale. After hearing nothing back, I checked again a month later only to find that the reduction had never even been actioned.

To make matters worse, when I asked to be released from the contract just 6 days early so I could move quickly and try another estate agent, the response from staff was very defensive. They were quick to point out the “legally binding” 30-day cancellation period, despite the fact they have had the property on the market since before Christmas with very little progress.

The 8 weeks I referred to was only the initial contractual agreement period, so I feel more than enough time had been given for proper communication, follow-up, and an active attempt to sell the property.

Overall, the experience has been frustrating and disappointing from start to finish. Based on my experience, I personally would not recommend using Stephen Tew Estate Agents.

From valuation to marketing then viewings to completion the whole package with Tews Estate Agents has been totally professional whilst at the same time having very personal approach .
Natalie’s communication was clear and frequent with emails and phone calls as to the progress of the sale.Also Simon was also very helpful with advice and guidance on a legal aspect we had a query about.
The photographs and videos really showed the house at its best and the sale progressed very quickly and without issue.
We would recommend Tews to family and friends who were looking to buy or sell property.

This agent quickly found me a buyer and kept me informed every step of the way. I cannot fault the enthusiasm and professionalism of Stephen Tew Estate Agents and have already recommended them to a friend who is also having great success after a previous failure with another agent.

We arranged to view a property. and as we were traveling a long way to view asked if they would notify us in good time if the property was sold/had an offer.
Just before we were due to leave I rang to see if the viewing was still happening and got told the property had an offer on it.
Fortunately we had several other properties to view so it wasn't a completely wasted trip.
When I complained they said "Oh, we would have let you know". I said "When? When we were half way along the M6?" It seems that 'keeping their buyers in the loop' isn't a priority.

Highly recommend this letting agent. The first I have dealt with that actually want to sort problems out as they arise. Made sure everything was fixed and ready for when we moved in 😊
Lauren explained every step for me and did her best to make sure everything went smoothly to which it did!
Gillian was very polite on the phone and in person. Nice friendly people. Very happy in our new home.

They dont reply to property's i asked to buy. i wouldnt want to sell a house with them if they dont want to talk with cash buyers. very pointless

I've recently had success getting a flat through Gill and Lauren at Stephen Tew, after months of searching and being let down. They really are an outstanding team. They listened to our concerns, and understood how important a home is for one's family and success. I would recommend their team to anyone in the future. Right from the beginning they guided my wife and I right to the finish line. I couldn't be happier.

Stephen Tew estate agency is a very professional and extremely supportive service. The support and flexibility of the staff are outstanding, travelling from outside the area to find our new home they have been very generous with their time and local knowledge. The team are so friendly a credit to their organisation.
I would highly recommend this company and will use their service if the need arises in the future.

Stephen Tew valued our property based on us wanting to purchase a property he had listed. He was courteous and efficient. The house pretty much sold itself within 4 days. When it came to moving, we were not notified by anyone that our sale had gone through, we were still loading when the new owners turned up. However, between us we worked together and sorted everything and gave them the house keys, Natalie from Stephen Tews rang me asking when we would be bringing in the keys as the buyer was demanding them. I explained to Natalie that we had given the new owner the keys and that was all good. Later I got a rude phonecall from David from Stephen Tews estate agents shouting at me that the buyers were waiting for the keys, I explained to him that they already had the keys. There was no apology, just a well I got left a note saying the buyer was still waiting, which either he was lying or Natalie didn't bother to update the note. Either way there better more customer friendly ways of dealing with things, also, checking facts first before any action might improve customer service.

E-mailed to go and see a property and they responded quickly. After several e-mails back and forth we were booked in for quart to four in the afternoon on the coming Thursday. So there we were, five minutes early waiting. But twenty minutes later. No estate agent. We rang them and their response was - what appointment? We have no record of you. Only reason I didn't give them one star was we purchased a house through them three years ago and they were good dealing with that transaction. This time though was not okay.

As a chain free/cash buyer, I found Stephen Tew Estate Agents in Blackpool pretty useless. I seen a property listed on Rightmove and contacted them via the phone initially, and sent 2 follow up emails....after a month passed of zero replies to my enquires, I finally decided to call into their office on Highfield Road in Blackpool. Once I made my way past the yappy/barking dog running loose around the sales office, I managed to talk to one of the female sales staff. She said I'll contact the property owners and get back to you tomorrow.....2 months on I'm still waiting on them getting back to me!!
Sadly with these estate agents there is an air of we just don't care/bother following up genuine buyers.
One to avoid sadly.
