On time, friendly helpful staff. Cabins a much better temperature this time. Often too hot making it hard to sleep. My family and I use the Belfast Liverpool crossing about three or four times a year... See more

Good to know
We understand that passengers come with luggage, so we won’t charge you any extra for yours. Car passengers can bring as much as they can fit into their vehicles. And foot passengers can bring as much as they can carry, so long as no single piece of luggage is over 23kg in weight. That makes packing a whole lot easier!

Not that long to wait to board, helpful staff onboard who helped tie my motorcycle down and remove the tie down straps for me, and friendly staff at the check ins.

Ferry on time facilities before crossing good. Food on board was a good choice of options. Staff friendly. Can walk around and look out to sea on decks. Lots of seating areas. Embarking and disembarking smooth and quick. Good updates and reminders for ferry times ect.

Easy to book and process in and off. Clean ship with several amenities. Overall a comfortable, affordable and pleasant experience. We lived the room on board to relax and walk around as needed.

Time taken to book in and board is very good with very good staff assistance when required.
Excellent cabins and on board facilities.
Only criticism is the wifi which may as well not be there and please turn the volume down on the wake up messages.

Excellent service.

Easy to select and book appropriate crossing and fare online. Well stabilised ship, comfortable passenger accommodation, good facilities onboard and excellent staff. Much more civilised than travelling by air.

Everything that was in the control of the Stena team worked very smoothly. The room was clean. Staff were great. Facilities absolutely fine. Plenty for different sorts of travellers. (You guys know your different markets and you cater for them very well.)
Meals were a little expensive compared to what you could get in a city - but that is understandable.
The queuing to get through passport control in Holland was a pain. 2 hours in the blazing sun hanging about waiting for face and finger-print scans. I realise this is a 'Brexit benefit' and outside your direct control, but I wonder if something could be done onboard to reduce the time spent getting on the road once we arrive in Holland.
Perhaps an immigration team could be on board processing passengers, getting finger-prints / face scans etc. People could take a buzzer like you use in the restaurants and when it buzzes you have to go to an office to get that part of it done. Then when you get off the boat there is a special fast lane for people who have already been processed - they just have to show their passports.

Have used Irish Ferries for years from Holyhead - Dublin but thought we would give Stena Line a go. Booked the Fishguard - Rosslare crossing, thankfully one way. Once was enough for us. Have booked our return on Irish Ferries and won’t be sailing on Stena Line again. Loading and unloading was not smooth and just didn’t think much to either Fishguard or Rosslare. So much easier on Irish Ferries.

Stena no longer provide free WiFi. When I asked why this was I was told because they received too many complaints about the free WiFi being bad. Rather than make the better WiFi free they have scraped the free WiFi. Now it is 2 quid for each device. At this point Stena are losing a lot of any edge they may have had over flying. Prices are higher than rental cars on the other side, the on board experience is dire, and it takes 10x the length of time to reach your destination. Currently the only edge they have is you can bring full sized toiletries.
