Terrible experience

Terrible experience from start to finish. Extremely slow processing times, I have waited a month for my order and it still isn't here, and non-existent customer service.

I purchased the printer online-poor customer service

I purchased the printer online. The process was not smooth. I subscribed online with the newsletter and received my 10% of but the code did not work. I had to call e-commerce web support and they gave me another code and it still said code expired.

I was told to pay the full price for the printer and the discount would be credited back. This occurred 2 days later.

I saw I qualified for a $25 gift card for buying a printer from March 20-26. from a staples newsletter. I returned to the store expecting them to allow me to pick one up.
The manager Ramin, at North Vancouver Staples on marine drive said I purchased the printer at full price. I said no I did not.

He said their retail store is different from on line. purchases. He was not willing to give me the gift card. I had to refund the printer and repurchase it to qualify to pick up a gift card.

I refused. He said he doesn’t know anything about online. Then I stressed I bought this online on sale and March 20th was the last day.

He obviously was becoming frustrated with me. He checked my purchase price off my staples email invoice and said the $25 gift card has already been applied. You can check it with your calculator!

At this point I know he wasn’t going to budge. I simply walked out and returned the printer unopened for a full refund minus the discount coupons given.

I called head office to complain and they simply apologized and said they will send me the gift card. I refused it. Imagine dealing with this fiasco all over again if I bought a toner online on sale? I do not need this frustration and headache. No longer willing to deal with Staples again ever!!! Believe me, this story will be shared elsewhere!!!

Very bad experience

Very bad experience
I spent one hour just for online printing and it didn’t work
Employees told me that many people complain about that.
I can’t print business cards because it will be bad quality and online order will be the best.

I used a fax service

I used a fax service. It is quite expensive. Their automatic fax machine reported the fax was sent, charged me the money and printed the receipt. The next day I called the office I sent the fax to. They said they did not receive the fax. During sending of the fax I noticed the fax displayed, that it was timed out, but instead of charging me it should say it could not send.

Disrespectful treatment toward a…

Disrespectful treatment toward a customer with special needs — unacceptable under BC Human Rights and Accessibility Standards

I am extremely disappointed with the service my son and I received at this Staples Fort St Jonn, BC. My son has special needs, and the staff member who assisted us showed a complete lack of understanding, patience, and professionalism.

While my son was trying to pay, the employee reacted with dismissive facial expressions and even holding a laugh at his mistake. This is not only unprofessional — it goes against BC Human Rights protections, which require businesses to provide equal, respectful service to people with disabilities.

I explained that because of my son’s disability, we needed a hard copy of the photo taken last week. Instead of helping, the staff member suggested that my son should wear the same clothes as before so it “wouldn’t be obvious” that the picture was new. This suggestion was inappropriate, unethical, and completely unhelpful.

She also accused me of being “upset” when I was simply trying to understand the situation. Her tone and attitude made it clear she lacked proper training in accessibility standards for customer service, which require patience, respect, and accommodation for individuals with disabilities.

Customers with special needs deserve dignity, understanding, and proper support — not judgment, frustration, or disrespect. What we experienced here was unacceptable and deeply disappointing.

I hope management takes this seriously and ensures staff receive proper training on disability awareness and accessibility requirements. No family should ever feel humiliated or dismissed while accessing a basic service.

Huge Waste of Time

I walked into the Welland store to help my daughter buy an iPhone and a laptop.
She knew exactly which phoneone/colour she wanted which we told the sales rep. He shuffled around for about 5 minutes, then went to the manager who said he would look in the back. He then proceeded to assist 2 other customers checking out before telling us that he did not have the phone she wanted to buy outright. If she would go with a different phone, there might be a $200 gift card. I told him that money was not an object, could they call another location? No, they could not- why I can't say. Then the original clerk said he could give her a $27/month phone plan and get that phone with it. Why on earth would she get a second phone plan? So we moved on to the laptop. After convincing us on the merits of 2 choices, I asked if the keyboard was backlit 'no, but you don't need that' he said. I went closer and read the description- yes it did have that feature (this is still the manager). He kept pushing the one on sale- I repeated that the money was not important. We settled on the one- oh sorry, we don't have any! 'Try buying it online' he says. We walked out of the store empty- handed after wasting 30-45 minutes of my time for nothing. Staples, you should be ashamed of such sales people!

My husband and I ( both seniors) went to Staples on Stavanger Drive St.Johns Newfoundland on March 26th . We just need a document printed … 3 people behind the counter that totally ignored us .. we waited 5 minutes and asked for help .. one worker reluctantly came over and told us the printer was behind us and to use that . We couldn’t get the printer to work and ask again for help .. she proceeded to tell us something about a code that we couldn’t find . We went back to the printer again and still couldn’t get it to work . All 3 workers say us struggling and not one offered to help . Totally ignored us . The worse customer service we ever witnessed .. they were all rude and lazy . Totally unacceptable! We left the store and never will go back there again … and we are telling our friends not to go there either. Not fit to deal with !

Horrible Customer Service

Horrible Customer Service
2550 Ouellette Windsor LocationHorrible Employees Customer feedback - Holden (employee) & Manager (Blanka).
Went to shipment services - 1 person working. We arrived at the counter being the next customer. People arrived at the passport photo and employee took them. We pointed out we were there first & should be next. The employee did not serve us rather saying she would call someone (WRONG action taken!!).
Employee Holden came next (with huge attitude) when we mentioned that we should have been served next rather than other employee doing passport picture. He said 'it's a free service so too bad'. Well it's not a free service as Amazon is paying for it!! He continued on in a defiant and rude attitude and tone saying 'it's unfortunate' - did not apologize making it my fault (THE CUSTOMER), when it was the them that created this. On our way out we asked to speak to the Manager. Blanka came over saying 'she did not hear the interaction so could not comment on it' 'we just opened and got slammed with 20 customers and we only have 3 employees working.' Making him speaking rudely to customers the customers fault - WOW!! She acknowledged that is not normal for Holden to talk to customers like that. I let her know I would be filing a complaint with head office and she immediately tried to dismiss us and walk away!!! WOW for the third time. This is horrible and unacceptable behaviour in speaking with customers. A customer should not ever be blamed for 'being busy'. Holden's (if that's his real name as he was not wearing a name tag!!) behaviour is beyond unacceptable and should be reprimanded with a formal written warning on his employee file...I am a Quality Manager in customer interactions for several insurance companies and this type of behaviour is beyond acceptable. Very disappointed as I shop in this store many times...I am still flabbergasted I was spoken to and treated this way.

Samsung 25 biometrics lock and 4 digit pin with a letter

I had a problem with my phone was at Bell store 4 times and received no help, called Samsung 3 times because I was locked out of my phone due to biometrics password that I never created. Want to give a great praise to Sumedp as he help me to unlock it and set my phone back up as I am not technoly smart. Thank you very much as I was told nothing could be done and I still had a year and a half of my contract plus$400 payout for my phone that I was told was garbage and I had to still pay for it.Something that was beyond my control. Thank you very much for your help and kindness

Printed Products

Personally, Staples has always delivered on their printing products for posters and gifts, as those are what I've purchased. When I'm told products will be ready for pickup in 7-10 days, I get them in 3! It's honestly surprising as this point since I procrastinate a bit when purchasing gifts, so time is the essence.

Order never arrived and no action

Order never arrived and Staples could not provide evidence of delivery. I raised with them, after the second contact they escalated to their delivery team for investigation promisingI would hear from them in 1-3 days. So no order, no contact, just lost money. Don’t waste your money ordering from them online.
