Very poor experience - expensive for delivery and returns and poor sizing of trainers!

Ordered some Hoka trainers I had tried on in a shop same size - pair that arrived were way too small. Tried to exchange but only offered 3 options for exchange - this wasnt what I expected when I viewed the returns/exchange options - only 3 choices in the same brand and not the correct size I needed is completely ridiculous! Obviously they want you to return and re-buy at further cost! Had to return them at extra cost as no suitable exchange option given - £4.99 to deliver and £4.50 to return when the sizing was incorrect - very poor service, wont be using Sportshoes again.

Our exchange system offers available replacement options based on current stock, so we're sorry if the size you needed wasn't available at the time. In cases where the required size is unavailable, a return and refund is the only option, allowing customers to place a new order if and when the item comes back into stock.

Our returns policy is outlined on our website before purchase, and unless an item is specifically marked as Free Returns, customers are responsible for the cost of returning unwanted items. Paying for delivery and for returns…

Paying for delivery and for returns when buying shoes makes for a bit of a slap in the face when you’re spending over £100. I won’t risk it again

Quick and easy ordering process

Quick and easy ordering process and delivery was timely. SportsShoes.com offer a good range of products at competitive prices. Would have rated higher but the box the trainers were in was quite badly damaged which was a shame as they were to be a gift.

Very impressed with excellent and human service!

I haven’t actually received my order yet but I was so impressed with how the SportShoes team (hey Abi 👋) helped me resolve a problem that I created, I wanted to get straight to reviewing before I forgot. I accidentally ordered mens rather than women’s trainers, I followed the instructions on the website to get in touch (email as out of hours) and early the next morning Abi was in touch responding and suggesting a resolution, (that they could send the women’s one a and send a link to double check the ones I wanted) my order was put on hold temporarily whilst it was resolved and then the correct item sent instead, all before 10am! I’m sure a lot of organisations would have said “just order again and return” so I am hugely impressed with this fast response and helpfulness in reply to my own silliness! Excellent customer service, thank you!

Only let down was the delivery driver's photo of proof of delivery was not of my actual parcel but I did receive the goods as ordered
