Started off by saying I’d be on hold but took only 4 seconds to be put through to an advisor. Alyx was lovely, answered all my questions and didn’t rush me making sure I had everything answered.

The customer service is amazing, as this is made for students they provide a lot of support for mostly first time bill payers and make the whole thing super easy. There was no hidden fees or extra costs and they offer deals etc all the time. Peter was very helpful with the end of tenancy process and the set up was very easy.

This is a statement of fact of continued issues. To inform everyone of the extent this company is profiteering by targeting inexperienced students. My daughter & 3 friends signed up to this company to supply their house on Back Western Hill Durham in July. I am authorised as a contact on her account. Split the Bills is charging £346.24 per month, £4154.88 a year for, gas, electric,tv & broadband. A comparison site for the same address estimates duel fuel at £1900, tv £174.50, broadband £336 Total:£2410.40. It get worse! She informed Split the Bills they would only occupy the house for the 7 month term. They refused to reduce the amount! That's £593.55 a month. It get even worse!..the broadband band is not installed, they said they would credit that, they haven't. A letter from tv licencing arrives every month, stating there is no licence. She has a letter from the energy supplier saying the account has not been changed from the previous tenants! Split the Bills have stopped responding to emails. I gaurantee they will to this review & do all they can to remove it. Do not use this company. They do not provide usage statements. The price isn't capped so it can increase even from the obscene amount they're charging.

I contacted STB to get a new confirmation of payment email after my tenancy ended and even though it had been months since that tenancy ended the lovely gentleman I spoke to on the phone named Peter was so helpful and understanding when I asked for the email I had lost to be re-sent. Absolutely top-notch customer service and such an easy and affordable bills package for students!
