⚠️ WARNING TO ALL CUSTOMERS ⚠️

⚠️ WARNING TO ALL CUSTOMERS ⚠️

Do NOT order from this company.

If anything happens to your package while it’s in transit, they will NOT help you. No refund, no replacement—nothing. I personally spent over $2,000 on a part that I NEVER received, and they refused to take responsibility.

On top of that, they don’t even require a signature for delivery, which is a huge risk for expensive orders. That alone should be a dealbreaker.

Their customer service is terrible—unresponsive, unhelpful, and they clearly do not care about their customers. No protection, no accountability, no support.

Save your money and avoid the stress. Take your business somewhere that actually values and protects its customers

Found the car at the right price. There were a couple of items that needed attending to on the car and they were handled without question. Very straightforward and easy transaction. Highly recommended.

Complete lack of customer service!

Ordered a power steering conversion kit from here, shipping was high and it got worse from there. They shipped via UPS, then UPS wouldn’t ship to my PO Box, so I tried to change to an acceptable address. UPS said the shipper had to change it. I emailed Speedway Motors to get them to change the shipping address. This is the reply:

In regards to the address, we aren't able to change the address to ship to another location. Only option is to return this to sender. However, with this already being in Canada, if we ask them to return to sender, there are fees that we will be charged for that, that we will need to deduct from your refund. We will not know how much that is until we get the packages back to us. If that is something you'd want us to do to, we can but be advised, you will only be refunded the merchandise for the parts less any fees incurred. There is not a refund back on the shipping paid or on any fees/duties you have paid, if you have paid them.

Please let us know how you'd like to proceed. UPS will only hold these for so long before they reach out to us asking what we'd like to do. They may end up being disposed of and not getting returned to us as well. Of which if that does happen, we aren't able to issue any refund. So its imperative you let us know what you'd like to do.

Thank you,

I emailed again asking for help to change the address.
The reply I received:
Due to the size of the order and it being a first order with us as well as a paypal order, for security reasons we can't change the address. Our only option is to return to sender if you do not want it to go to the address we were provided when the order was placed. It still will not change the fact that fees are still due on this package.

Michelle

I really do not understand what me paying through PayPal had to do with anything. Also shouldn’t matter it was my first order from them. Also shouldn’t not matter that the items were in Canada, I had already paid for them and they had my money paid in full!

Thankfully after I explained to UPS what Speedway Motors was doing to me, UPS was able to override their system and changed my delivery address for me. And I was finally able to get my items.

The complete and utter lack of willingness to help out a paying customer is unconscionable and I highly do not recommend this company ever. I will never order from them again. Save yourself the headache and find a better place to get your parts from.

I recently purchased suspension…

I recently purchased suspension products from Speedway after speaking with one of their EXPERTS. The EXPERT assured me that the parts were designed for my 2017 Ram Rebel. After receiving the parts I took them to a local suspension shop to have them installed. The shop called me to tell me that they did not fit. I was charged $200.00 for disassembly and reassembly to put my truck back together. I contacted Speedway Motors and was told multiple times by their escalation team they were sorry for the mistake but they were unwilling to share in any of the labor cost associated with the disassembly/assembly. They also refused to give me any contact information for their supervisor telling me that they had the final say in the matter. I hope someone in the upper management of this company takes notice and offers a reasonable solution.

I sent a email to the CEO of Speedway asking for a reasonable solution and as of 5/22/25 I have not gotten any response. That just shows me they are disconnected and take no responsibility for their actions all the way to the top. I should have checked them out before placing the order. Never again!!

Should have came here before I ordered

Should have came here before I ordered. Ordered a Brake booster combo for my 1980 corvette. Received a Power Steering Pump Can instead. Customer service did give me a return label but then said we can't ship you the correct part until we get the wrong part back. They sent me a UPS GROUND label which is a 3-4 day lead. They have my $420 and I didn't get the right part and they can't send me the correct part until I send them the wrong part back? Stupid on their part for punishing the customer for their mistakes. You can't speak to a GM or owner. Just a call center supervisor if you are lucky and i think after the 3rd call and umpteenth email i got a nice guy named Dan to get the the "call center supervisor". Bad customer service policy for their mistakes. I won't be back unless the owner calls me.

I Don't Recommend Speedway Motors

On September 23rd, 2024, I purchased and received a Chevy 700R4 Automatic Transmission from Speedway Motors, 2WD (Part #91029102). The cost was $2,509.99 plus shipping ($470.99) and tax ($125.52). Total cost was $3096.50. The engine was installed in a 1972 Chevelle Malibu, replacing a manual transmission. The car had a brand new radiator, lines, and torque converter purchased from Jegs, which was in the specifications for fitting this transmission.

Dylan W., an ASE-certified Master Engine Machinist, and Master Automobile Technician installed the transmission. Dylan has a 4-year automotive degree and was employed by Jasper Engines (the nation's largest remanufacturer of gas and diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, air and fuel components, marine engines, sterndrives, performance engines, and electric motors) for 9.5 years as a lead gas and transmission specialist and as a manager of transmission failure analysis.

On Sunday, January 6th, 2024, with less than 200 miles of driving time, the shifting and power engagement began to fail. It also refused to shift down into 1st and 2nd gear. When starting from a stop, the transmission made a high-pitched noise. I recorded this on my iPhone video.

1/20/2024 - I spoke to Marty in Speedway Customer Service and explained the situation. I was told that Speedway sells this product, which is remanufactured by Stellar Automotive Group. They said I needed to contact them to resolve this issue.

Two days later, I had a conference call with my mechanic, Dylan W., and Matt (The manager at Stellar). Throughout the conversation, Dylan satisfactorily answered Matt's questions regarding the installation. Matt said he would have to inspect the transmission to determine what caused the issue. He explicitly stated that we could not open the transmission, or it would void the warranty. Since I had to buy another torque converter, I asked Stellar who they would recommend. I took their advice and purchased another for $225.

We shipped the transmission back to Stellar. Three weeks later, the rebuilt transmission arrived. It was still full of metal shavings (See photo). They informed us that the cause of the failure was the torque converter from JEGS was the problem. We have the original torque converter. We checked it, and it did not fail. I was told by Stellar I would no longer have any warranty on this unit since “they did me a favor.”

Buying this from Speedway Motors cost me almost $900 more than it should have ($160 to have it towed to the mechanic for repair, $225 for another new torque converter, and $460 for labor to pull and replace the transmission.) Speedway refused to even give me credit for any of this and simply washed their hands of this.

And they won’t post the negative review I placed on their product page. You only see what they want you to see, not the truth.

Choose anyone but Speedway Motors.

Canceled Order and Raised Price

I had a terrible experience with Speedway Motors regarding an order I placed through Amazon. I ordered a set of wheels at $312 each, and despite confirming with the manufacturer (Weld Wheels) that the product was in stock and ready to ship, Speedway Motors canceled my order without justification.

They initially claimed the cancellation was due to a lack of a shipping ETA, then later blamed Amazon's policies. However, Amazon confirmed that Speedway Motors had until 12/16/24 to provide shipping confirmation, meaning the cancellation was entirely Speedway's decision. To make matters worse, after canceling my order, Speedway raised the price of the item and refused to honor the original price I paid.

Their communication throughout the process was inconsistent, misleading, and unhelpful. My direct inquiries went unanswered for days, and when they did respond, the explanations contradicted earlier statements. They even tried to deflect responsibility for the cancellation back to Amazon.

To "make up" for the inconvenience, Speedway Motors offered a $25 promo code for a future purchase—which doesn’t even work on Amazon. This was a completely inadequate resolution for the time, effort, and financial inconvenience I experienced.

I would not recommend Speedway Motors to anyone. Their lack of accountability, poor communication, and unwillingness to honor their original pricing are unacceptable. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere like Summit Racing or Jeg's as they are professional organizations.

I bought a chrome mounting kit for my chrome alternator. First of all, not the best quality. What's worse is you receive an incomplete product? Only the two brackets, no chrome bolts no chrome washers no chrome spacers. So I had to buy a second kit from Amazon throw away the parts I Could not use to use the needed chrome, nuts, bolts, and washers and extension pens.
What a rip off
