I first used them about 18 months ago to get a hearing aid as their prices were quite reasonable, compared to dedicated audiologists and the products a lot better than “free” hearing aid from the NHS. That was a good experience. Check up and adjustments have been free since.
Recently I used them again for new glasses and it was equally as good. Easy to book an appointment, very limited waiting time and friendly staff. I ended up with 3 pairs of glasses (generic reading & driving and “branded” driving sunglasses) for under £300. I’ve usually paid a lot more than that for just one pair in the past, and they threw in some lens upgrades for free (anti-glare etc).
Someone is clearly doing a good job at management level with keeping high standards across their branches as I’ve used two (Swindon and Marlborough). The shops are well presented, staff very friendly and their prices are very good.
They have also clearly invested in good technology as many of the engagements are pretty “frictionless” from a customer perspective. They know who you are, why you’re there, your history and something like updating my hearing aid profile only took about 1 minute.

The staff were very courteous, and the wait time was short. The eye exam was thorough, and I was able to find glasses which were affordable and which I am pleased with. They were efficient in following through with a referral to a specialist. Overall, a good experience. I would recommend them.

Having been a Specsavers customer for several years I have returned annually for my prescription check up. On collection of my glasses this year I could not read the sample handed to me by the assistant. Her reaction was to persevere as they were new. I literally could not focus and realised the lens were either not mine or were an incorrect prescription. I had no option but to request a refund and continued with my previous year's glasses which were perfect. I was surprised at the ease in which the Manager agreed with my request without speaking to me personally. Not the usual experience I have received in the past.

I ordered a pair of glasses,and after 7 days of not hearing back from them, I went to the site and saw a message, that due to my lens being outside, what they call their usual lenses, I would have to pay an extra £30 to get them, I had no idea, they had not sent me an email to confirm this, or cancel my order, just a message on their site, as I needed these glasses now, I have paid the extra, but will never ever use these rip off cowboys again.
Thank you for your response, but I don't use any of those platforms, but you do have my email!
Update, today the 29th April I recieved an email to say that the glasses I ordered are now discontinued, so my first feeling about this company are correct, they are a bunch of cowboy con artists!
