This is the worst letting agency. They would lie, gaslight you and don’t even communicate appropriately.

Staff are unhelpful and rude. They owe us money and have not paid it back despite knowing they owe it to us for weeks.

I contacted them about renting a flat, they sent me an application forms which I filled out right away then I received a confirmation email saying they got it. Been about a week now and no response, I've sent another email asking if there's any updates and no answer

Update: still no sign of any answer even after more emails have been sent, from what I've read it's best to stay away from these ones as all issues stem from problems trying to get a hold of them

Hi.When I simply requested information about my deposit refund, I was ignored three times by employee Emma, who didn't respond to any emails. Then I was ignored twice by phone by employees whose manners prevented giving names. Finally, an attempt to contact a general Cowboy named George proved unsuccessful... as usual The busy Cowboy didn't have time to respond to emails. And for 30 business days, he didn't have time to write back to SafeDeposit Scotland authorizing the deposit refund.

Shocking treatment from this cowboy outfit putting in bad neighbours to a lovely home my son maintains the garden and trees to keep place looking smart only to be told by a ckeecky assistant not to do it just let it grow and they will eventually get it cut never have I known a crowd to want to ruin a good close because it’s a shit company

saw a property I was interested in, cant get a viewing without providing information that I would expect to supply when application accepted and the property offered
I understand needing to verify the viewer is a genuine prospective tenant but why do they need my passport, proof of my income and a guarantor to let me see the property.
Also communication is dire, one word responses to email, or no response at all when being questioned on why excessive information is being requested prior to being granted a viewing. Its no wonder the property is still being listed months after I first saw it advertised
If I was the owner I would look for a different letting agent

Worst service ever by smartmoves group, as we live in one of their apartments managed by smartmoves group in Bradford and i have broken bed in my room from one corner, mailed them 3 times to repair it and they ignore it.

Have been working with Smartmove for more than 3 years, they are professional and responsive. They treat tenants with care and can identify the good tenants. I understand once they found out something not right about the applicants (fake info, unreasonable requests etc) they would just ask the applicants to clarify and if they cannot, then Smartmove will filter them out.

They’re the best in the entire Ireland in my opinion. They’re very efficient, infact the name smart move works because they’re really smart in all they do. I give them a 100 percent.
If you’re looking for a property look no further smart move properties is the answer.

Worst agent "Richard Thomson" ever!!, rude saying I "waisted" my time and his time, when I offered a lower rent offer due to house having no clothes poles, garden fence falling down, cables cut dangling down the front of the house and the top of bedroom window panel on the floor. If the house repairs had been done before giving us a viewing I would of paid full asking price.
He wouldn't pass my lower offer onto the landlord, he said "I think we will just leave it at this best wishes for finding an alternative property that suits your requirements."
Agent just stood in livingroom and wasn't interested in getting a tenant.

Very rude employee, had to call them to explain our situation as we are in England so can’t come for viewing to Scotland . I was first asked to email and not to call and that too very rudely.
When I started to explain my situation they clearly asked me not to look for properties with smart move and that too very rudely.
I was stunned by that statement as nowhere in UK I had faced this.
Not sure how they treat their customers.
Management should definitely coach their employees.

We haven’t moved in 24 years & we have to say Smart Move were brilliant. The entire move went so smoothly on the day.
We highly recommend Smart Move to anyone who is looking to move 💯

Absolute joke of a company, very rude service that can be easily seen from the replies they've posted on here.

Smart move agency is so bad agency and the person owns the this business is really really like animals and also some people working for this smart move is so bad people so the most interesting think they use Samart name for this agency but you see is not smart move is fake and bad service and they are really dodgy and when u sign for property they will not gave u service and they will not answer your phone. I advise anyone don’t go to this agency for rooms or house or flat they will late you dawn.👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

George is very helpful and professional. Had an issue that needed his assistance and he’s been brilliant in helping thus far. Very good

I’ve been a tenant through Smart Move for the last 4 months. From the moment I viewed the property and had everything agreed for my tendency was within 24 hours. Throughout the process I dealt with Ailis who couldn’t of been anymore helpful. Any questions I had I emailed and I always got a quick response even out of normal office hours. I’ve only been to the office once but all the staff there at the time were very polite and friendly.

I highly recommend smart move agency as they are an amazing team . Im with them one year now and helped me to move out quick from the flat to the house. Also smart move team is sorting out any issue you may have as they are very helpful and professional.
