It's not fair to add money for seat…

It's not fair to add money for seat after I've already booked. It was no said before booking that 55 would be charged for seat...

⚠️ WARNING

⚠️ WARNING: Do NOT book with this company ⚠️

I had an extremely frustrating and misleading experience with SmartCheapFares. I paid $908 for a flight, thinking everything was confirmed, only to be told AFTER payment that I would need to pay an additional $800 to actually complete the booking. This was NEVER clearly disclosed upfront.

No transparent pricing, no clear explanation of total cost, and no chance to accept or decline these terms before they took my money.

What makes this even worse is that their own policy states that refunds can be processed if a cancellation request is submitted and falls within the fare rules. I requested a cancellation, I am NOT a “no-show,” and yet they are making it difficult to resolve the issue.

This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic:

* Advertise low fares
* Take your payment
* Then hit you with unexpected additional charges

Now I’m stuck trying to recover my money while also needing to rebook travel for my trip (June 5th–7th). This has caused unnecessary stress and financial strain.

Customer service has not been helpful, and there is a clear lack of transparency and accountability.

I will be escalating this through my financial institution and reporting this to consumer protection agencies.

🚫 Save yourself the stress, time, and money — book directly with airlines or reputable platforms instead.

1/10 experience. Would NOT recommend under any circumstances
