Opened accounts with simply be and then jacamo (same parent company).
Made an order with simply be and then the day after delivery they said my credit file had been reviewed and removed my credit limit.
Then with jacamo. Made a couple of orders and a week after they've cut my limit by half which is also happens to be the balance on my account. Made a payment and the limit decreased by that much. So clearly trying to run my account down to 0. But this all came without any notification.
Disgusting service. See less
The charges are a joke ontop of the monthly repayments
I'm ending up paying twice as much more than the original amount & feels like I'm never going to pay it off. Charges for late payment... Yes but not if your paying on time so i think this needs to change.
I have been a SimplyBe customer for 20+ years and to date have never had a problem BUT when something does go wrong with your order, you are reliant on customer service to resolve the issue: disappointingly, SimplyBe have failed on every aspect of customer service. With a lack of responsiveness to my emails and chat via their Facebook forum, after 24 days(!), I am still awaiting a resolve - and am now feeling ignored. SimplyBe, for the sake of your business going forward, get your act together!
Items arrived quickly and were decent quality inline with pricing.
However I placed two orders and paid two delivery fees of £5.99 each.
The SB warehouse shipped both orders inside one parcel with one order number and one delivery note. But they kept my second delivery fee and there was no effort made to return it to me at all.
When I decided to return all items from both orders, I could only see the items from one order on the return portal.
I used the chat service for help and it was incredibly frustrating. The agents do not acknowledge the information you provide. I had to ask multiple times if they were still there.
They misinterpreted the issue and when finally we were on the same page, the solution was for me to return the items separately using packaging that I would need to source myself because they only sent me one. I was told I’d need to write out all the details of the second order myself too because there is only one delivery note. I don’t have a printer and I don’t have extra packaging laying around the house so I’m going to have to go out and get something.
This is not “easy returns” or convenient. It’s taken up hours of time. Nobody seemed interested in apologising or taking feedback onboard. I had to question everything because nothing was explained and it was implied that it was my fault for not understanding that two orders needed to be returned separately despite being sent to me in one parcel under one order number.
As a customer, this just isn’t an enjoyable experience. I wouldn’t shop here again sadly. I don’t feel valued or respected as a customer (where did that extra delivery fee go? Feels dishonest) and it was a big hassle to return things with a customer service team who are probably fed up of having to deal with issues like this and don’t seem to care because they’re probably overloaded with complaints.
Great way to makepayment and very easy to follow.
This company used to be great, but now it’s terrible & I no longer want to use my account. I dread calling up because the customer service is so bad too and they don’t help, I’ve even been hung up on.
I have logged a complaint recently about TV the service and the fact I returned an entire order worth over £100 and they refunded me after 3 weeks for only one item. No one acknowledged my complaint and bothered to reply to it yet. No one seems to care. It’s probably one of the worst companies I’ve ever had to deal with and I am out of pocket now too

I ordered three items which includes mobile phone MB204MS costing £129.00 which was delivered to my neighbour (this is not agreed delivery option).
My neighbour said that she found the parcel bag ripped on side and that the delivery driver drove away by the time she wanted to call his attention.
We both reported this with reference #6336282 given for this complaint.
£129.00 need to be refunded to my account with Simply Be. To my suprise, ACI phoned me that my name and account have been passed to them.
I have write several 'recorded letters' sent through Post Office to Simply Be and ACI (reference 3189986) stating my story and the photo of the delivery driver-caught on my neighbour's entrance camera.
There has been no positive outcome.
