We recently had the pleasure of…

We recently had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Shambles and we have to say, it was an amazing experience. The venue is owned by a brother and sister team with a passion for food and wine, and it really shows. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, relaxed atmosphere that felt like a true enoteca and neighborhood osteria. The name of the venue is a nod to the history of the building, which was an old slaughterhouse/butcher's for 250+ years, and adds a unique touch.

The food was absolutely amazing, with high quality, fresh, seasonal ingredients from the British Isles and Italy. The chefs follow the traditions of Italian cooking and their focus on pasta is something to behold. They also offer a children's menu with fresh and healthy ingredients, which is a great touch. The wine menu was extensive and the other drinks available were just as delicious. The sharing plates offered were not only visually appealing but tasted even better.

The atmosphere at Shambles was cosy and friendly, making it a lively and fun place to be. The venue is open all day for drinks and light bites, and they even have live music from a talented pianist to add to the ambiance. The garden restaurant is one of the prettiest we have seen in the Richmond borough, with a private walled garden, olive trees, and wisteria blossoms that feels like a magical escape. They even welcome well-behaved furry friends on a lead, making it a great venue for pet owners.

Finally, we have to mention the event hosting services. Shambles is able to host drinks parties, full events, and bespoke catering services, both onsite and at a location of the client's choice. The dedicated team went above and beyond to ensure that the wedding was a success, and we could tell that they truly cared about making the day special for the couple.

In conclusion, if you're looking for a venue that combines a relaxed atmosphere, amazing food, and fantastic event hosting services, Shambles is the place for you. We highly recommend it to anyone who wants their wedding day to be special and memorable.

Kindest regards,
The Kensington Photographers
