We returned from a 2-week holiday in January 2025 to find our house flooded due to a water main failure. LV, our insurers, appointed Sedgwick as Loss Adjusters and Danielle quickly came to assess the damage. Since then she and her colleagues have managed the recovery, removals relocation and repair project sympathetically and most professionally. We have had excellent service from all of the sub-contractors appointed for the project which has taken almost a year to complete. We are most grateful for the excellent support that we have received over a difficult period. Thanks to Sedgwick and especially to Danielle!

From the beginning, the company was mostly prompt at returning calls and emails. When Ross Chapman. came to visit, he was friendly and polite and explained the process clearly. He was able to accept the work that my builder had done so far, that is, taking out the existing flooring to examine the extent of the damp damage.

Terrible experience!
Sweet on the phone but gave incorrect information. Had used the company for a locksmith, the locksmith was a liar to twist words and give wrong information, eventually didn’t do the job.
Will not recommend this company.

What an appalling company Sedgwick is they treat customers like rubbish my 79 old father was left without a working toilet , the Sedgwick staff make up excuses and change policy raised numerous complaints was assured this issue will get resolved sent out Dyno- Rod who are just as bad as Sedgwick they sent out plumber who said new part was required on the 15 May and will take 7 days to arrive no contact from anyone chased on the 30th they said no part was ordered and they sent another plumber who had healing hands and fixed cistern without touching it he left then came back numerous times to take pictures then decided to get a signature from a vulnerable elderly gentleman to say job was completed without required part being fitted they do not even deserve one start as they make simple issues into nightmares

The lady I spoke to was efficient and charming.
However she was let down by Sedgewicks and its systems and yet another contact between me and this loss-adjuster has turned out to be a waste of time.

Following a house fire just before Christmas, we were guided through our claim by Tracey. She couldn't have been more helpful and made a difficult time so much easier for us. At the beginning of my claim, the communication from Sedgwick was excellent—clear, timely, and effective. The quotations were reviewed promptly and accurately, which gave me confidence in the process. Unfortunately, as the claim progressed, the communication became increasingly one‑sided, with my concerns often left unaddressed. In addition, the estimated costs for the actual work were significantly below realistic market values, which was the most disappointing part of my experience as the cash settlement become less than the actual estimated price. By the end of the process, communication had become noticeably poor, which contrasted sharply with the strong start. Generally, the total experience wasn't bad and I would like to thank everyone worked in my house claim given the strong careful start. However, I wish if this continue till the end of the claim.

Sedgwick is a great insurance company with dedicated officers who are ready to help. It is easy to get through on the phone lines not like other companys. I had a really complicated case and Emma Whaler my claims handler went above and beyond to get my issue sorted out, she was very empathetic, professional and went above and beyond for me she really was a God send. I am very happy with the service I received and would recommend.

My experience of dealing with Sedgwick through Lydia Buswell was great because she alone was able to break a log jam in the claims process that had developed between my insurers and my contractors. I had been in limbo for at least seven weeks before Lydia used her great experience to find the best way forward.

I'm insured through NFU who Sedgwick as assessors. Both parties were easy to deal with, efficient and payment made quickly - sort of what you need ! I recommend NFU all the time and as they use Sedgwick the pair made a great team

We had a domestic burglary and were insured by Direct Line. Sedgwicks were appointed, the loss adjuster who attended was nice enough but that was the last positive experience. No one responded to multiple e-mail enquires, even helpline@sedwick etc did not ellicit a reply. We only started receiving prompt replies and a resolution following an e-mail to complaints@sedgwick etc.
All in all a pretty dire experience.
