very expensive and slow

It took ages for the expensive tickets to arrive. At one point I phoned the Stadium to ask if Seatwave were actually trustworthy, as could get no answer to enquiries sent to seatwave website, and impossible to phone them. Stadium said they were official - but I could easily have booked the tickets direct for less money.

Hi Ali,

Thank you for your review, we really do appreciate your feedback and I'm really sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your delivery.

As we’re a ticket resale website we don’t own any of the tickets sold through our site. Because of this we have to allow Sellers time to receive their tickets from their place of purchase, and then dispatch these on to you.

But we try to make sure tickets are with you within the week of the event.

If you have any more questions please don’t hesitate to get back in touch.

Kind regards,

Seatwave Team

Definitely the last post getting you reliable tickets

With The Killers Tour happening in my city I was keen to get tickets to see this beautiful rock band within two weeks. With all tickets sold out elsewhere, this was the last place to find some. For a decent price I was able to get some tickets and have a night to remember.

Not likely

No! We cannot recommend Seatwave. After buying tickets as a gift for our son a year ago for John Bishop and receiving an email telling us the tickets were about to be sent out (2 weeks before date of event) we then get a message from them whilst we were in Spain on holiday. We had to call them only to be told our original tickets were no longer available! Other tickets were offered and a 20% discount but, in our opinion, that was not what we had paid for and wanted which is why we had paid £175 for two tickets very near the front.

Hi Rod,

Thank you for your feedback and I’m sorry that your tickets could not be provided. As we’re a ticket resale website, we provide a secure platform for people to sell on their tickets - we don’t actually own any of the tickets sold online. Regrettably your seller let us know that he was unable to supply your tickets in time.

In the rare cases where this happens we will do everything we can to find you replacements. In this case we couldn't find comparable tickets so we offered you a partial refund on top.

If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to get back in touch.

Kind regards,

Seatwave Team

Terrible! E tickets have never materialised. Use other secondary marketplaces instead where tickets are uploaded prior to sale.

I bought 2 e-tickets this evening for a concert tomorrow. I specifically purchased "fast e-tickets" so I could download and print straight away to ensure I had time to arrange travel to the gig in Ireland from the UK. I've purchased e-tickets from Stubhub and Viagogo many times and they've always been already available to download instantly - which is surely the point of them being advertised as "fast" and being for sale less than 24hrs prior to a show.

After purchase I get a message saying Seatwave will let me know when the tickets are uploaded by the seller. Hours later I'm still waiting and all customer service can say is they'll refund if the tickets are not delivered in time for the show. However, that can be as late as AFTER doors open, which is absolutely no good for someone travelling more than a few miles to a show. It is likely I have now missed my deadline for traveling to Ireland in time, but if the seller uploads the tickets as late as, for example, 6pm on the day of the gig, I won't be entitled to a refund and I'm not allowed to cancel my order.

I notice from other reviews many cut and paste responses about Seatwave being a marketplace and not sellers of the tickets. I'm sure the majority of customers are aware of this already and this doesn't account for the duty of care the company surely has in ensuring sellers using their site are genuine and reliable.

The automated customer service email reply gives a response time of up to 3 days, which is pointless for urgent enquiries and when I finally got through to someone via phone they didn't seem remotely concerned about the fact the show is tomorrow or the fact that the e-tickets were nowhere to be seen. Their advice was to call again tomorrow (too late) and when I asked what the deadline was for sellers they didn't know and said they would "try to email them tomorrow" (again, far too late for me to get to the show).

Other secondary ticket marketplaces are far more reliable and transparent and I urge customers to use them instead as I know from experience their sellers are required to upload their tickets to the site prior to sale.

I will never use Seatwave again.

Worked OK but process could be MUCH better

I booked in January to see Neil Diamond at the O2 in October. Overall everything worked ok but I thought the actual price charged compared to the actual seat price was disproportionate. (It was made clear before I paid though so it was my decision to accept it). Considering it was booked online and the tickets downloaded the extras seemed a bit expensive too. However the main criticism is that the tickets were not made available until 3-4 weeks before the concert date. Although this is covered on the website it seems to be a totally bizarre way to operate. If I have booked 2 seats in a particular part of the venue why does one have to wait over 9 months to actually obtain the tickets. It is VERY stressful !

Hi Fynch,

Thank you for your review, we really do appreciate your feedback.

The prices of tickets are set by their individual seller at the price they want to sell the ticket for. Sellers will often compete with each other to sell their tickets – so you can take advantage of the best price at the time of purchase.

We always display the face value during the checkout process so you can make an informed decision.
