SEATWAVE

Simple enough process to sell tickets to events you can't attend. Once you've set up your account using a credit card or paypal details, set the price you want. There's a small fee for the sale transaction once your ticket has been sold, and you'll receive payment approximately two weeks later.
There's supposed to be an email confirmation to let you know that your listing is live/active but this doesn't always occur when tickets go on sale close to an event. You can check by contacting them directly or via their twitter account if you're concerned your ticket(s) isn't listed for sale...particularly relevant around christmas with so many events occurring.
You don't have to physically send your ticket(s)...especially important if it's one event from a season ticket or too late to reach the purchaser. .Seatwave contact the event organizer and arrange a ticket to be issued for collection at the event.
I've used Seatwave numerous times and can recommend them.

Pleasure dealing with Seatwave!

I got my e-ticket through the same day I purchased (I bought in the morning for an event the same evening). Ticket was reasonably priced and included a VIP area. I would recommend Seatwave to anyone! Thank you, Seatwave, I’m very grateful for the experience you made possible!!

A week before the event we let you know …

A week before the event we let you know that our tickets did not arrive. You said we have to wait until a day before we depart. On the way to the airport we phoned, and you started with the tracking. We spend the first few days in Dublin not knowing what was going on. When we emailed or phoned, we just got the answer that our case was priority. What was the use of tracking the tickets in South Africa, when we were already in Dublin??? The night before the event we received an email stating that you couldn't track the tickets, and will refund. so sorry?!?!?! This is pathetic... we spend a fortune on travelling costs etc.
You could have at least helped us to get new tickets as you had 22 available 2 days before the Rugby.

Hi Janey,

Thank you for your feedback and I’m really sorry to hear that your tickets were lost in the post. We’ve looked into your order and can see when you contacted our call centre, one of our team already raised an investigation into your package.

Unfortunately, we are unable to replace lost tickets as we don't own the tickets and have no direct relationship with the venue, this means we don't have a facility to cancel and reissue tickets.

With this in mind as the tickets were confirmed as lost in the post a full refund was issued to you. We're sorry for any disappointment caused.

Kind regards,

Seatwave Team

Queens of the stone age-Dublin-Sold out

Needed a ticket for a sold out gig from Queens of the stone age in Dublin. As I flew in from Germany, there were no time to catch up with a local to buy a spare ticket. So I decided to give Seatwave a try. I paid more than the face value price, but that was my choice to do so. I bought the ticket and paid, a few hours afterwards I could print it out.
At the entry of the gig ticket was scanned and I got in. Had a great concert, qotsa never dissapoint.

Payment?

Sold tickets quickly. When I log into seatwave it says 'payment not yet due' Concert happened 6 working days ago. I would have thought that there would at least be an estimated date of payment. Will i get paid?I know it says they get paid within 10 days of event. A bit nervous that I won't get paid. Cannot find a phone number anywhere to ring and ask! Wish there was a bit more communication as I've no idea what's happening.

Hi Karen,

Thank you for your review, we really do appreciate your feedback.

In order to maintain a secure marketplace we don't make payment to sellers until after the event has taken place. This is so that we can ensure buyers have successfully attended the event, and in the case of any issues they can be fully investigated.

We hope that you can understand why this measure is in place.

Kind Regards,

Seatwave Team

Dealing with Seatwave was the first …

Dealing with Seatwave was the first time for me.
Just received the money for the tickets Queens Of The Stone Age that I sold to Seatwave.
Very transparent in communication and managing the expectation; payment AFTER the event has occurred, within 10 working days was communicated upfront. I fully understand the payment afterwards.
It was quite some time that elapsed since the transaction, and I was wondering how this would work out. Therewith glad to receive the notification earlier this week that payment was on its way :-)
As one suggestion to improve: may be a notification with repeat message that payment will occur after the event within 10 working days, so that people feel that they have not been forgotten, and nothing went wrong. .. = confidence feeling.

Bought tickets close to match and …

Bought tickets close to match and worried that I wouldn't get them. Arrived half hour before kick off and received tickets straight away, everything was organised and efficient, a weight off my mind.
