I bought these shoes
I bought these shoes, and they are very stiff. I don’t understand what they were made for. After wearing them, you can’t even feel your feet. My feet hurt a lot. This was my first experience buying shoes from this manufacturer. I do not recommend buying from them.
I had a pair Salomon echo snowboard…
I had a pair Salomon echo snowboard boots where the BOA channel failed. A common problem that lots of people seem to be experiencing. Due to the boots been slightly out of warranty Salomon wouldn’t do anything for me other than offer 20% off. My opinion is this should be product recall, it’s happening to far too many people and is obviously is a design issue. Based on this experience I won’t be buying Salomon again and will look to other manufactures that care about the experiences of their customers. Salomon has gone down hill massively in the last 5 years.
I have 5 pairs of Salomon gtx ultra…
I have 5 pairs of Salomon gtx ultra over the past 7 years. Every pair has fallen apart after a year ! 2 pairs where changed under guarantee. The latest pair are terrible. They are extra wide but still cause foot pain. Also bruise toes and generally stiff and uncomfortable. I will never but a Salomon product again the quality is Terrible!
Ordered shoes for my birthday
Ordered shoes for my birthday. Of course it came faulty. Contacted them about it, I had to send pictures, then they sent those pictures somewhere else, then finally decided to give me back my money plus promised a 20% voucher. Everything went so slow.
After more than two weeks of purchasing the shoes, finally I got back my money! The voucher code is not working :D hahaha
What a lovely company.
I’m not gonna order it again from them.
Always used Salomon for running
Always used Salomon for running, the last pair lasted 900 plus mile this pair (exactly same model S/Lab Genisis) the tread is half worn down on the heels after only 33 miles, contacted claims stating that always run in a forest so no change of environment.
Their response being basic wear and tear No warranty just offered 20% discount on next purchase irrespective of the £180.00 wasted on an inferior product that isn't fit for purpose!

Love my Salomon trail running shoes “XA PRO 3D” really comfy & good grip
Poor Product, Terrible Customer Service, Disappointing Resolution
I brought the a pair of Salomon XT Whisper trainers directly from Salomon Website and they were badly sized even after ordering half a size up. My toes were pressed up against the front making them completely uncomfortable and essentially unwearable.
I followed there full complaints process and provided everything they asked for including photos and measurements only to be told it was a "fit issue" and not there problem.
To make matters worse, they offered a 20% discount as a "gesture of good will" - But this couldn't even be used on the only pair of trainers I was interested in.
That made the offer feel completely pointless and honestly a bit of a slap in the face.
After spending a lot of money on what I consider a substandard product the customer service i received was dismissive and unhelpful. For a 'premium brand' I expected far better.
I will not be buying from Salomon again and would advise others to think twice before spending there money here.
Extremely disappointed with the quality and after‑sales response with Salomon snowboard.
I bought a brand‑new Salomon Sight snowboard, used it for less than a week, and the edges started rusting like it was trying to retire early.
Meanwhile:
- My other new Head Course snowboard, bought the same day for my spouse → no rust
- Our two old Rossignol snowboards (5+ years) → still cleaner than this “premium” one
- Same resort, same snow, same storage → only Salomon failed
My authorised retailer shipped back to Salomon to check. Salomon blamed on more ammonium sulphate at the resort due to warmer weather… which is funny, because apparently it only attacks one board in my entire collection. Snow's fault???
Salomon really nailed it — I paid top dollar for a board that rusts faster than the bargain boards I abuse every season.
Reading the reviews here in Trustpilot, I had lost faith in Salomon's products.
Very disappointed with the overall…
Very disappointed with the overall experience. Purchased my trainers to be on Friday 27th of March at 9am. Was hoping they’ll be dispatched on the same day and delivered by Tuesday the latest since I completed the purchase before 11am as well as I paid express delivery £12.
On Monday I called customer service to check on the progress as I had not hear anything from Salomon nor from UPS. Customer service had no idea and was unable to provide any detail to where about the order is and when it was going to be dispatched. What a let down!
On Wednesday I left to Spain and had to buy trekking shoes at the airport instead.
On Thursday 2nd of April I was informed by UPS and Salomon.com my order was ready for collection at a collection point currently seating there as I won’t be able to collect.
It took full one week “5 business day” for an order with express delivery to be completed.
It is embarrassing and a total ripoff for the brand to charge customers express delivery you can’t honour.
Salomon.com will have to do lot more to rectify this appalling experience.
Just a bad fashion brand not an outdoor brand
I'm not a big review writer but I'm so disappointed in this brand. I've bought waterproof trainers and waterproof hiking boots and they've both leaked. I sent all the necessary info they needed for the warranty as it was within the 2 years and they've just ignored me. I get the impression they've given up caring about the people who want to wear them for hiking and only care about those that buy them for fashion. I'll never buy anything from them again. Lesson learnt. I won't be recommending them either.
Thought a pair of Salomons
Thought a pair of Salomons, after wearing for a few hours there was already a water mark on the front of the foot - for the price you pay this shouldn’t happen. Tried to get a refund but they wouldn’t, I could only get a new pair .. do you really think I’m going to keep the new pair. No
Change ain’t always good!!!
Been buying Salomon x ultra pioneer gtx shoes for the past few years , being on a budget I was paying more than I normally would for shoes but these were the best , would have carried on buying them too until I bought the X Ultra Pioneer 2’s 5 days ago , these are going in the bin !!! Feel cheap and uncomfortable , nothing like the previous versions , think they are now made with cheaper materials but asking the same price , manufacturing looks like it’s taken a nose dive too , just look at the stitching on the inside , will not be buying Salomon anymore , it’s a shame as they used to be great shoes. Salomon go back to the original spec !!!
Honestly the shoes are poorly made…
Honestly the shoes are poorly made despite the very high price tag … nothing like why it used to be. Bought shoes less than 6 months ago I am not even running or using it for hiking or trail and the sole is already coming off. Bought from Sportsshoes.com in the UK so I am waiting for their answer.
Poor, non existent customer service.
Shoes I purchased have failed well within the warranty period. I have sent all relevant information and photos requested by the customer service team but Salomon are dragging their heels. Terrible customer service and based on this would advise people to shop elsewhere.

Top Quality
I have the mid height Salomon GTX desert boot in coyote. It is an excellent boot in fit, support and materials. In fact, I ordered two more pairs in the same week. I've been wanting to try Salomons for a while and I do not regret it. While I do not recommend these boots for consistent heavy load bearing, highly recommend them as a top quality boot
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. The Rep never had any interest in solving the issue I reached out about. Instead they just sent copy paste scripts, avoided doing any work and in the end the package was never delivered. Really really poor service by a brand that should know and do better.
Manufacturing problem
To be honest, the customer service doesn’t even deserve 1 star. I had a zip break on a Moon Patrol ski jacket that had only been used for 7 days. The warranty department then had the nerve to claim the zip came from a completely different coat (a purple one!).
It’s unbelievable that they seem to have absolutely no idea about the products they sell. I even provided photos and video clearly showing the olive green jacket with the broken zip, yet they still refused the warranty claim.
Instead, they offered a 20% voucher, which is frankly insulting considering the issue is clearly a fault with the jacket. Completely pathetic response and terrible customer service
I purchased a ski jacket from Salomon…
I purchased a ski jacket from Salomon expecting premium quality and durability to match the high price tag. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing.
The jacket was worn for just one ski trip (7 days in total) and then carefully stored. I followed Salomon’s online care instructions precisely — washing it once at 20°C, even though the label states 30°C. After that single wash, the glue used in parts of the garment disintegrated, causing a pocket to detach completely.
I was shocked to discover that sections of an expensive technical ski jacket are glued rather than properly stitched. For a brand positioned at the higher end of the market, this feels like poor construction and corner-cutting. What makes this even more frustrating is that my previous ski jacket from a well known outdoor company cost just £60 and lasted through several ski trips without any issues whatsoever.
To add to the disappointment, Salomon will only offer repair assistance if the garment is under two years old. After that, they provide no internal repair support — unlike competitors, who stand behind their products for the long term.
When investing in technical outerwear designed for high-intensity, high-risk sports, customers expect durability, quality craftsmanship, and meaningful aftercare support. I expected far more from Salomon. This experience has seriously undermined my confidence in the brand.
Very comfy, but bad quality
I’ve been wearing my Salomon shoes for about three months now, and I have mixed feelings.
On the positive side, they are extremely comfortable. They feel great right out of the box and provide solid support for both daily use and longer walks. The quick lace system is excellent — it’s easy to adjust, secure, and much more convenient than traditional laces. That part of the design really stands out.
However, I’m disappointed with the durability. The inner lining at the heel (the soft fabric inside the shoe) has almost completely worn through after just three months of normal use. For shoes in this price range, that level of wear is unacceptable. I also found it frustrating that I couldn’t find replacement laces in any Salomon store during my travels in south east Asia, which seems odd given the proprietary lace system.
Overall, the comfort and design are great, but the durability and lack of available spare parts don’t match the premium price tag.
