Illegal bait and switch and no support I can see why their score is so low
Illegal bait and switch and no support. I can see why their score is so low. They sent me a personalized offer for an item I'd been looking at, including instructions that I had to click through that email in order to redeem the coupon code. When I did, they tried to swap it out and say it wasn't valid, even though they're the ones that sent me the offer.
When I tried to contact support to get it rectified, they told me the terms of some other offer (not the one they sent me) were that I had to spend more money, and that they wouldn't be honoring the one they sent out. I've reported it to the BBB and am currently looking into whatever other regulatory agencies should be notified, since I'm pretty sure what they're doing is illegal.
If this is how poorly they're managed, no wonder they're going bankrupt
Refused Refund Despite 30-Day Return Policy (With Proof)
Refused to accept the return of a $1500 item, stating a new policy change that no longer issued returns from Australia, even though the policy clearly offered 30 day returns at the time of purchase (I had a screenshot of their returns policy as proof). Not to mention it took 7 weeks for the item to arrive. I have reported them to the ACCC and other government bodies.
Sorry to see them go
Sorry to see them go. I buy mostly during the holidays but wish them the best after restructuring.
I ordered an item for me to not receive…
I ordered an item for me to not receive it and Saks’ tracking number not working on FedEx’s website. It was hard getting a hold of customer service by chat or text because it can take >30mins for you to get a response and if you don’t respond within 2 mins they “disconnect” and you have to start your story over. The customer service agent uses an alternative package tracking site and they claim it is marked as delivered. They gave me an order not delivered claim number that doesn’t work and hasn’t worked for 4 days. The second customer service agent’s solution for me is to keep waiting for a few more days for it to update. Considering shipping was not free, I am truly wondering what I am paying for. Every step has gone wrong and I feel very cheated of my money. Even if you have unlimited patience, they will find every way to exhaust it.
Customer Experience Nightmare
I am beyond frustrated and disgusted with this experience.
I ordered a coat and was sent the completely wrong product — not only a different item, but with a different delivery name and address. I called immediately to report the issue and open a case. Customer service assured me that all I needed to do was return the incorrect product and I would receive a full refund.
Because the original item never arrived and this was meant to be a Christmas gift, I had no choice but to reorder the coat.
I promptly returned the incorrect item, only to have it sent back to me as “rejected.” When I called again, I was told the same guidance as before — that the return should be accepted. Then, days later, I received an email stating they would not accept the return at all.
So to be clear: the company shipped the wrong item, required me to reorder an expensive product due to their error, and is now refusing to refund me for the mistake they made.
This is unacceptable, especially given the cost of the item and the clear documentation of the issue from day one. I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend ordering from this company based on their handling of a straightforward error.
DO NOT BUY FROM SAKS
Wow! I am shocked that such a high-end store will send back a return (was in my possession less than 48 hours) and claim vaguely that they do not accept my return, stating falsely that the item is either without tags, damaged, and/or worn. This item costs nearly 2K. I returned it due to size and ordered a SMALL, which I kept, yet here they are returning the Medium back to me, making FALSE claims -- and stealing my money. How do they get away with this??? They are truly criminals!! No wonder they are going "bankrupt."
Order not received, refund refused
Order placed on 12/28/25 (card charged on 12/31) for delivery to be received on 1/8/26. Per UPS tracking, shipping label was created on 12/31/25 and 9 days later on 1/9/26, package still hadn't been received by UPS. I called Saks customer support on 1/9 and they said they'd investigate with product vendor which was shipping the order. Vendor confirmed in call & email with me today that there was a problem with supplier and Saks was already informed the order was cancelled so they should've known this when I called them on 1/9. When I called SAks again today, they didn't know and refused to issue refund which I would like in the form of a gift card since this was ordered as a gift & applied my Amex Platinum benefit. They said I had to wait for investigation to be completed which could take another 5 business days even though, per my call with vendor, Saks was already informed of order cancellation and tracking shows package was never received by UPS. Since Saks was already informed of the order cancellation by vendor, they are wrongfully withholding my refund. The customer service rep on 1/9 said I could obtain full refund in the form of a gift card since UPS still hasn't received the package but today's rep refused. If they needed to verify order cancellation, I was able to get that info from vendor immediately by simply calling/emailing them today so I see no reason why Saks didn't have this info or couldn't obtain it while I was on the phone with them.
The worse
The worse, Saks failed to deliver my package and still charged me $900 or an item I never received, I submitted information making my case and they refused and still charged me. THIEVES and the worse
Buyers beware
I placed an order for a product to be delivered internationally in December and, as it was taking so long to ship, I subsequently requested that it be cancelled. I was informed that orders cannot be cancelled once they have been placed, despite this not yet having been shipped. I therefore said that I would like to return it.
When the order arrived I went to the website to arrange the return and was met with a message saying that Saks no longer delivers internationally and that it would not accept international returns of orders previously placed. I am not even sure it is legal to change terms and conditions historically in this way so that it applies to orders already placed in good faith. It’s absolutely disgraceful behaviour from what I thought was a reputable company.
Worse than horrible I have shopped at…
Worse than horrible I have shopped at the store for 20 years. I recently bought two dresses that were destroyed by the alterations department and I was refused a refund. I do not have the dresses in my possession. I left them at the store because the alterations were so horrible.
This is the Palm Beach Garden store. Do not shop there do not shop At Saks unless you want to lose your money.
Frustrating Website Experience – Needs Major Improvements
Saks Fifth Avenue’s website is a total disaster. I’ve had more than enough of it. When I select “Men” and start filtering through options, the site constantly forgets I’m shopping for men’s items. I’ll select a designer like Loewe, and suddenly, I’m being shown women’s shoes, bags, and random stuff I have no interest in. How does this even happen?
The sorting and filtering features are an absolute joke. It’s so hard to narrow down what I’m looking for because it feels like the website just doesn't pay attention to the choices I’ve made. Nothing stays selected, and I end up wasting time scrolling through irrelevant items.
What’s even worse is the pricing. During the holidays, I went directly to the vendor websites like Orlebar Brown, and they were offering huge sales—50% off, no less. Meanwhile, Saks Fifth Avenue still had full-price items from those same vendors. If I can get the same product for way less somewhere else, why bother with Saks?
Honestly, this site needs serious upgrades. Better sorting, filtering, and a more user-friendly interface are long overdue. Until then, I’ll take my business elsewhere.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. No judgment. No exception despite thousands of dollars spent on the same designer from Saks in the last few months alone. Only this one was transparent flimsy linen. Yes it was on final sale. But it is still listed in the Saks site for the price I paid ($477 - over $500 including tax) AI can say no. Live reps should be able to exercise judgment and make a one-time exception to retain customers. Lost me!
Absolutely horrible store
Absolutely horrible store. I'd avoid shopping from them. The worst customer service and return policies.
The item gave me terrible allergies
The item gave me terrible allergies, I reached out to merchant and they told me to send it back. When I sent it back they told me it was used and they won’t refund me. Terrible attitude over the phone of agent and supervisor head in the wall not trying to help just take your money and run. I’ve been spending thousands of dollars with them will never buy anything ever again. To add to all that the policy says that if something gives you an allergic reaction, you are allowed to return it, but they won’t respect their own policy. made me go to the mail pack the item and send it and the in the end tell me I won’t get a refund.
I want to bring att your attention to…
Dear Saks Fifth Avenue customer service. I want to bring your attention to significant drop in customer service rating of your company.
I was customer of Saks for year but recently had a very negative experience with Saks Fifth Avenue customer service.
I have ordered the ( Self-Portrait
Contrast Pocket Miniskirt
black , medium) cashmere skirt on Saks Fifth Ave online store. The skirt arrived in shockingly damaged condition. It was all wrinkled and jammed with multiple creases. The packaging was not good either, plastic bag was torn.
I contacted to the customer service but the agent refused to help me with the return or exchange. I have contacted twice without any help or satisfaction.
Very dissappointed and dissatisfied. I Will dispute a charges for the item and will attemp to return the purchase.
Please, help.

I have not recieved my merchandise and…
I have not recieved my merchandise and this business is declining to assist with a replacement or a refund because they "dont believe me" and "this is out of my hands." I ordered limited edition Rick Owens Doc Martens and it is likely my package was misdelivered or stolen, and this company is forcing me to pay for something I never got. I have contacted them multiple times and was ignored and they took so long to reply I felt ignored and uncared for after they got my money and told me they can't go over policy, I have ordered multiple times from here and never had this issue but suddenly something happens to my package and I'm the villain, a liar, and I even showed them a police report after they recommended I filed one, and when I did, they told me STILL THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING???? My order was placed in October, it is now December, and they still haven't responded and won't help. I am out $400 and the item can't even be replaced because it's sold out. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a recent experience regarding the return of a dress I purchased for my mother to wear at my daughter's wedding in June 2026. I bought 5-6 dresses together so she could choose her favorite. After she selected one, I returned the others. Unfortunately, I cannot remember which dress included an attached sash. I received one of the returned dresses back, stating that the sash had been removed and therefore could not be accepted for return. I want to clarify that I did not remove anything and returned all items in the same condition as received. Despite multiple calls to explain the situation, my concerns have not been resolved. The only solution I found myself was to keep the dress that my mother did not like and return the dress that she actually liked. This is problematic because the dress itself was expensive almost $900and I cannot afford to pay for two dresses.
I urge others to take precautions when returning items to Saks, such as checking and taking pictures of the items before and after sending them back. It seems that if something goes wrong during the return process, the customer bears the cost.
So so disappointed ....
I ordered a rather expensive christmas ornament from Saks. It came poorly packaged. The bag that it was in was ripped. It was a bar cart ornament and 4 of the 6 items that are on the cart had come unglued or broken off the cart. Despite having ordered it 3 weeks prior to christmas it came too late to return and receive a replacement so I had no choice but to hot glue the broken pieces back myself. I called customer service and they to credit me with free shipping. Basically 20% of the cost of the item. This is the second disappointing experience I have had with Saks. The only thing that correlates to being a luxury brand are the prices they charge. Certainly not the way they treat their customers. I have put up with this from them before but I am done. Spend your money elsewhere with a company that appreciates your business.
Ordered a $600 Burberry scarf and it…
Ordered a $600 Burberry scarf and it arrived balled up in a piece of plastic. Buying designer items comes with the experience. The packaging with designer is usually exquisite. This was just disappointing. How can you gift an item full of wrinkles and zero presentation. I will be returning this on pure principle! Do better!
Shipping Errors, Fees, and Zero Accountability
I ordered women’s ASICS tennis shoes in a size 8 and was sent a men’s size 8 instead, which is a 9.5 in women’s. Nowhere on the product page did it say men’s sizing, especially since the shoes had ribbon laces and were clearly marketed toward women. Customer service was super unhelpful even though this was their mistake, and returns are such a pain. You pay $9.99 for shipping, another $9.99 to return it, and then another $9.99 to get the correct size. That adds up fast.
This isn’t my first issue with Saks either. Earlier this year I ordered a Dior skincare product that arrived without a seal. They replaced it, promised I wouldn’t be charged return shipping, and then never refunded me. When I followed up, they basically said there was nothing they could do. For a store that calls itself luxury, the service is honestly ridiculous.
