Delayed Delivery

Delayed Delivery:
The delivery time just kept moving backwards and backwards throughout the day. I had bad experiences before where they keep on moving the delivery until the day was finished and no parcel had turned up on my doorstep.

Are the items to be deliveres not regulated with a feasible target for the day? I honestly couldnt tell if the problem lies in work ethics, overwhelmed logistics, or anything else. I honestly have jitters everytime I get notified that my parcel is going to be handled by this company. It's just really bad. If there was half-a-star rating I would've given it that. Hope it gets even a little better :(

BING BONG! That's the sound a doorbell makes.

See that button on the door frame? That's a bell. When you press it, it alerts the person in the house that someone is at the door. Now i need to wait in for a re-delivery the next day which i may not hear if the postie doesn't ring the bell. Seems the guys just want to post a slip through the door and knock off early to enjoy the sun.

Not received letters or parcels since middle of June

Today, I tried to contact Royal Mail regarding not receiving letters and parcels since the middle of June. I spoke to a guy who first hung up on me when I told him the exact date that I last received any mail or letters. I then tried speaking to him again 30 minutes later after queuing on the phone. He seemed very funny on the phone, kept asking me to repeat things that I had said I had to tell him my email address 3 times and I think he still got it wrong as I have not received an email regarding my complaint. I feel like I cannot trust or relay on the Royal Mail. I have been expecting very important letters since June and also been expecting parcels that I have ordered online. I have now had to pay my bills online because I haven't received any bills through the post. I tried to complaint on the phone with Royal Mail regarding this matter but I felt like the guy wasn't listening to me and seemed to be treating me like a little kid and trying to intimidate me. I have never felt so disrespected on the phone when speaking to someone, the guy on the phone made me feel so uncomfortable and I couldn't wait to hang up the call after I had reported this problem to him. I would like this matter to be resolved as soon as possible.

This has been one of the worst customer…

This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.

I booked and paid for Royal Mail’s parcel collection service three separate times. On all three occasions, the collection failed. The drivers arrived but refused to take the parcels, claiming they were “too large” even though the weight was within the limits of the service I had purchased.

This makes absolutely no sense. Why does Royal Mail sell postage labels for large parcels if staff refuse to collect or accept them because they are supposedly “too large”? I specifically purchased postage for two large parcels—one weighing 10 kg and the other 30 kg. If Royal Mail offers and sells postage for parcels of these sizes, why are customers then told they cannot be collected or accepted? The rules appear inconsistent and impossible to understand.

After Royal Mail failed to collect my parcels three times, I had no choice but to pay for an Uber to take them to a Post Office. The Uber driver attempted to drop off my prepaid parcels at two different Post Office branches, and both refused to accept them, again saying they were too large. In the end, the Uber driver had to bring both prepaid parcels all the way back to me because neither branch would accept them. This entire ordeal has cost me a significant amount of money in collection fees, Uber fares, and countless hours of wasted time—all because Royal Mail failed to provide the service I had already paid for.

On top of this, I have a completely separate issue with Royal Mail’s refund process. I requested a refund for another failed collection over two weeks ago, and I am still waiting. Despite repeated attempts to contact customer services, I have received no meaningful update or resolution. The lack of communication and the slow handling of refunds only adds to an already frustrating experience.

Royal Mail urgently needs to review its parcel collection process, clearly communicate its size restrictions before customers pay, ensure staff and Post Office branches apply the rules consistently, and improve its customer service and refund process.

At the moment, the service is unreliable, inconsistent, expensive, and incredibly frustrating. I expected a professional postal service. Instead, I have lost time, money, and confidence in Royal Mail.

Royal Mail are slime.

Royal Mail are slime.

Package received in their Preston depot on Wednesday, tracking showing originally as being received on Wednesday. Now using lying underhanded techniques on their tracking to say it was received On Friday. Was originally meant to be delivered on Saturday 11 July, now saying SUNDAY 12th, don't even deliver on Sundays. Lazy OFCOM should be fined too for letting then get away with a substandard service. Money from fines should be going to customers not OFCOM as compensation.

Our postman is an absolute credit to…

Our postman is an absolute credit to Royal Mail. No matter the weather or how busy his day must be, he always greets everyone with a genuine smile and a cheerful attitude.

He has a wonderful sense of humour and always finds time for a friendly chat or the occasional joke, which never fails to brighten my day. It’s amazing how much of a difference one kind, positive person can make. I genuinely look forward to seeing him because he brings a little bit of sunshine, even on the dullest days.

Excellent service isn’t just about delivering post—it’s about the people behind it, and he goes above and beyond simply by being consistently kind, approachable and caring. Thank you for making such a positive difference. You are truly appreciated, Simon, BB2 area.

What’s happened to Royal Mail paid for…

What’s happened to Royal Mail paid for 24 hours tracked and found out it won’t arrive for 36 hours or more. This is about the tenth time let down. This is ruining my business where the client expects the results. How many more are affected.
They don’t seem to care about late deliveries but quit happy to take your money

Must utterly useless lazy company in the UK

Well what can you say about the most incompetent, lazy, don't care company in the UK. They couldn't care less that they don't deliver on time, they don't care about the sender or the receiver, they put bogus scans on items stating out for delivery when they have no intention of delivering them, but it does make the both sender and receiver believe it's out for delivery so nobody chases it, this is a common practice for the royal mail, if you use these as your preferred delivery company you will soon start losing business, they are the most utterly, useless, lazy delivery company in the UK, how it still manages to keep the royal title is just shocking. You actually get goods from China and the US quicker than this outfit, they're dog shit and don't care. After nothing arrived I eventually went to the office to get myself, parcels and letters strewn everywhere and not one of them has a bloody clue. I now avoid any business that uses them as there chosen delivery company and go out to a store and buy it.

they lose your parcel and then lie

they lose your parcel and then lie.

£80 down the toilet with no one admitting to a lost parcel so I can't even make a claim for it. I've been waiting 3 days for it with constant emails saying it'll be delivered that day and NOTHING. I'm getting everything else but this one expensive parcel. their customer service are absolutely clueless. they're needing another investigation.

Rearranging deliveries is a waste of time

A few weeks ago my partner had a card saying she had missed a delivery so she followed instructions and rearranged. She waited in but they didn't turn up. Rearranged again and, again the item didn't turn up. She phoned them and was told they had returned to sender.
I received a card on Thursday last week but i was away and found it on Saturday. I immediately rearranged deluvery for this week on Saturday (tomorrow) but today i received an email saying my parcel was at the distribution centre awaiting collection. How incompetent are are they? I tried to phone them but they get so many complaints it's virtually impossible to get through. They need to hire a few employees with an IQ that's not in single digits

What a farce Royal Mail is!

Having paid first class postage, £1.80 to post a friend’s birthday card on Monday 29th June….. hoping it would be with her for 1st July, it is now the 10th July and she has still never received it. Posted in NI and my friend lives in NI. Should have realised when the lady on the Post Office who sold me the first class stamp said “it could arrive at 10am tomorrow or take 10 days”. What a farce Royal Mail postage now is!

My parcel containing personal documents…

My parcel containing personal documents (RF337118195ES) has been stuck on “Ready for Delivery” at Gatwick MC since 5 July. It’s now 10 July with no update. I waited 40 mins on the phone & emails take 7 days to reply. Can you urgently confirm where it is and when delivery will happen?

Questionable delivery agent

Only time someone different from the regular Royal Mail person delivers my parcel, an order is missing. This new person delivered only one package and confirmed delivery of two on the app.

The retailer confirms they consolidated 2 orders into one parcel because it was dispatched together but this Royal Mail lady only delivered one. I have her on the ring video.

So sad and annoying. Pls deliver the other package under JV311733053GB

Pathetic

This pathetic company today tried to deliver a parcel. They failed to leave it in the designated safe place because they have now changed their minds about a greenhouse being a safe place. They want access to a secure part of my house while we are out. If I gave them this, it would invalidate our house insurance against burglary. It would be best if all remote sellers gave up using Royal Mail as they will never successfully deliver anything while the house is not occupied.
