Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 197 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the customer service, finding it unhelpful, difficult to reach actual people, and often receiving automated or generic responses that did not address their issues. Customers frequently reported problems with account access, including issues with two-factor authentication and being locked out of their accounts, often due to old or compromised email addresses. The support system was criticized for closing tickets without resolution and blocking users from submitting new requests. Reviewers also expressed frustration with product-related issues, such as persistent bugs in games and difficulties with game launchers, which made their purchased games unplayable. Some people also felt that the company's focus was disproportionately on certain games, leading to a lack of updates and attention for others. Conversely, a small portion of people were satisfied with the support, noting quick and effective assistance with account problems.

Absolute IMPORTANT shitfest

Absolute shit support. No help, whatsoever i tried to get back my stolen game which had the hackers email connected to it. LONG story short 13 tickets later and 2 new copies of gta later, deleting it off your steam and repurchasing it is not going to fix this problem. (THANK YOU ROCKSTAR FOR THE CLEAR HEADS UP AND NONEXISTENT REFUND! 🤣)DO NOT BUY A NEW COPY OF THE GAME IT WONT WORK!!! Turns out their spineless support workers (and bots) biggest, most successful job they accomplish doing is press the "resolved" button.....

What makes this whole thing truly pathetic isn’t that my account got hacked — that happens everywhere. What’s pathetic is a billion-dollar company pretending that clear proof of ownership means nothing, while an email changed by a hacker suddenly means everything. Steam purchase history, activation key, "all info i can remember to prove ownership", all ignored — while a compromised Social Club email is treated as the sacred law
This isn’t a support system. It’s a deflection system that exhaust players until they give up or buy the game again. Judging by how fast tickets get auto-closed as “resolved" I genuinely get the feel their goal isn’t to help, it's a shady way of reducing workload and liability. Rockstar can fix this. They choose not to. So if Rockstar isn't ashamed by this, I definitely was.

So to anyone reading this: do not rebuy the game, do not reinstall, and don’t expect any logic to apply. Once your Social Club is hijacked, Rockstar’s stance is simple — you’re no longer the customer, you’re the problem. And that’s not incompetence. That’s policy.

THEY CAN HELP YOU, BUT THEY JUST WONT..Honestly I never do reviews really but this one amazed me too much to let go.

Rockstar Games lost a fan

Two Words Shark Cards
I Don't want to buy GTA 6 anymore.

both Grand theft auto online and red dead online are not safe to play and can find your own home address is a breach of privacy to your safety thanks to little bride told me. So I am happy that I don't have to tolerate their tomfoolery Rockstar is doing over there anymore!

Not calling myself a rockstar fanboy after that, I hate the before gta 6 meme, and I remember games that were delayed like no man's sky, cyberpunk 2077 and other games that would eventually get bad reviews after being delayed and delayed over and over again. Also grifters are now telling me that Gta 6 would suck, because they based their lives in politics and being grifters saying GTA 6 is woke with a female protagionst, but who the hell they have the right to say garabage to gta fans before its comes out, and female protagonists are not destroying the game industry.

2016 is a bad year. not a good year

GTA ONLINE SUCKS

GTA ONLINE SUCKS. developers are a bunch of cucks. $3,000,000 buying and upgrading your delivery vehicle for your business, that is required to run your business btw, and it still has 0 traction and a max speed of like 65mph? there are no good cars for under $2,000,000? civilians constantly intentionally crashing in to you and destroying your car. the gps routes intentionally taking you past every aggressive enemy on the map every time you try to sell high value business goods… if you lose one or 2 shipments all your profit is gone with the resupplying. otherwise they make you do resupply missions that in total will take at least 2 hours and come with their own host of ridiculous ways Rockstar tries to get you to fail and just buy their in game money. nobody has the time to do all the resupply missions for every business and then also the sell missions, they know you will pay for the supplies out of convenience and lose most of your profits. then they give you multiple sell vehicles for sell missions like im going to have time to help my buddy with his missions as well. you guys absolutely suck and GTA 6 is going to be WORSE. because you have no incentive not to keep milking people dry. dont you think the psychopathic griefers, enemy combatants, multiple delivery vehicles, and enemy business owners being incentivized to destroy your shipments is enough? you still have to make every single game mechanic work against you as well? how about you make a fun game. look at your reviews. WAKE UP. you sick miserable losers. this group of developers hate their lives and hate their customers as well. Boycott Rockstar NOBODY BUY GTA 6. ROCKSTAR NEEDS TO LEARN TO START SERVING THEIR CUSTOMERS INSTEAD OF PUNISHING THEM FOR PLAYING THEIR GAMES.

2FA Hostage

Paid lot of money and time in Gta V and Red dead redemption 2 and I can't play anymore, because I lost the phone with 2-FA. Creating a support ticket, get answered ONLY by bots. They are keeping my account and EXPENSIVE games hostage

Rock star's gotta be the biggest joke…

Rock star's gotta be the biggest joke when it comes to online Play their game messes up every time I play It. It glitches out it screws you out of money, or it says it can't connect with the rock star servers like they don't make enough money to have good enough servers to play on and then they say they fix the glitches, but we all know they're full of it, they get paid so much money to do absolutely nothing. They are a joke and I wouldn't waste your time on them.

Most useless support ive ever seen

Ive tried to contact their support about getting my account back as its been hacked many years ago. I gave up back then as they didnt do jack sh!t about it, and wanted to see if they've gotten better now...Nope. I want them to remove a 2-factor that have been added onto my account, which i do not have access to, and all their AI bullshit do, is sending me links to remove MY 2-factor, which ISNT added onto my account.
This is prob the most useless and imcompetent support in the entire world. Its run by brainless monkeys, setting an AI up to do their jobs for them. Worthless company. Could NEVER recommend buying anything from them and expect a good support if anything goes wrong.

Bastard Idiots,never more Rockstar!!

Bastard Idiots, never Rockstar!!! I'm about to cry. I've been waiting all year for snow and Santa missions. I even bought PS Plus for two accounts because of this, and I'm so incredibly sad and disappointed that because of bad players, there's only one week of snow this year. I'm so desperate and sad that there's only one week of snow this year. I'll never play GTA Online again. I loved your games and Adversary Mode and played GTA for years. Now I won't anymore, and I certainly won't buy GTA 6 if the team is like this!! 😭😭😭

Absolutely garbage support

Absolutely garbage.

Decided to get back into GTA V after years away from it. Turns out my old R* account is linked with a suprt old email that I no longer have access to, and apparently hotmail accounts are permanently locked if unused for a longer period (supposedly after 365 days). This means I can never recover that email address. I contacted R* support, and oh-boy what a joke.

First I recover on their support website under the tab "lost access to my email address". Then a ticket is automatically created through email. They just told me to re-do it through their account recovery, which is from where the ticket was created in the first place. I tried to respond to the email to expalin I had clicked on "lost access to my email", which is exactly what had happened. But you can't respond to their support's email and they had marked it as "solved."

I did what they asked but changed whatever option so that I opened another type of account recovery ticket, just to be able to hopefully get some sort of help.
Nope.
"Too little information provided, we can't prove you're the owner." Now I filled out everything except for my R* account name as I haven't used it in years and I can't recall that. I even entered the EXACT date on which I purchased GTA V, over 10 years ago, and I found a receipt for it.
Where they want you to prove you're the rightful owner, THEY DO >>NOT<< EVEN ASK YOU FOR YOUR NAME OR DOB.

Again, I get the email response that I haven't provided enough proof that I'm the rightful owner. Email marked as "Solved" and I can't respond to the email. Their support literally doesn't have a live chat option in 2025, but merely a website form you fill out and then get a response over email to which you can't reply. Disgusting company.

Rockstar Support is an absolute joke

Rockstar Support is an absolute joke. I reported a clear technical issue where my GTA Online account is falsely marked “not eligible for migration,” and instead of reading my message, they spammed the exact same copy-paste response over and over. No investigation. No explanation. No human logic involved. Just automated garbage replies that completely ignore the problem. For a billion-dollar company, this is embarrassingly incompetent support. If you’re unlucky enough to hit a real issue, don’t expect help—just scripted responses and wasted time. One of the worst customer support experiences I’ve ever had.

Rockstar account is a disgrace

Bought RDR2 on steam just to find out I had a rockstar account many years ago linked to my steam account and to my old, nonexistent email. I don't care about it, but the game would not work without it, it is impossible to create new rockstar account and support is so defunct that it is virtually impossible to change email on their account which I don't want to know about in the first place.
Don't buy their games, no respect to customers at all.

Worst game studio ever

Bought RDR2 in 2019 , have played with it for years, now i wanted to replay the game but their bugged shit system doesnt send 2 step verfication code via email, so i cant login to my rockstar account. Since no login, u cant even request help. made new account trying to ask for help but the piece of shit customer service staff not even listening to people's problem. Repeating the pharse like a good lilttle parrot to make request ticket from the account i have problem with, knowing it well, its impossible since i cant log in. Provided every data, to prove it is my account but they are closing the request like if they done anything to resolve it. Most piece of shit company i have ever seen, i hope they go bankrupt. Never ever gonna buy one of its shitty games ever again!!
