After a bad experience with another contractor who incorrectly tiled our balcony and left us with serious leaks, we contacted RJ Evans Flat Roofing for help.
They quickly diagnosed the real problem – poor workmanship, failed waterproofing, and unsealed edges from the previous installers. Because the tiles had been glued directly to the insulation layer, a full removal wasn’t straightforward, but they designed a practical solution that fixed the issue properly, whilst still giving us an aesthetically pleasing finish.
The team were professional, reliable, and explained every stage of the work. The standard of workmanship was excellent and the balcony is now fully waterproof.
They also documented the previous poor work with photos and provided a report for our solicitor, which was extremely helpful.
If you’re looking for experienced roofers, balcony waterproofing, flat roof repair, or leak repair, I would highly recommend them. The job was completed to a high standard and the final cost was lower than the original estimate with no hidden extras.

An excellent company. They did a flat roof for us which was a tricky one and continued to leak afterwards, but R J Evans were amazing at honouring their guarantee and came back out almost immediately to fix the roof again. I think this is when you know how good a company really is, whether or not they honour their guarantee.

Discussing the roof with their owner Ryun over the phone was always a pleasure, he is a very understanding and knowledgeable man, and always willing to go the extra mile to help, with a positive mentality towards finding solutions. I also found their roofers to be very polite when I met them on site.

Simply the best!
The most stressful and testing task is flat roofs and associated repairs. Done a lot of research and found RJ roofing. Looking into detail, I saw they use a Mariseal products that will protect, seal and strengthen the roof (if applied correctly) this they did. The team was splendid to watch them doing their work with such devotion and in great detail. No shortcuts were taken. Weather was not on their side and they rushed through to lay the final coat. But the beauty of this company was, one section of the surface reacted to the rain, leaving a pitting effect. They returned on a good day and after clean up, applied an extra coat, not only to the affected area, but to the remaining 30 sqmtrs, with desired results. Almost forgot. There comes a bonus of 25 year guarantee on the works and especially the product used.
