AWFUL SELLER! This guy has the worst communication skills and non existent customer service. My MAME has never worked and I have systems that don't even load. He has a Discord where he claims that there's support, but he's never there. He has someone there by the name of HD Eagle who has attempted to help, but was unable too, but told me on several occasions that he forwarded my issues. It has been since March of last year and nothing has been resolved.

See, unlike a lot of the consumers, I am actually involved with a lot of devs and gamers in the gaming community, especially those who are involved and interested with home arcade setups, so I have a rather large following. So I will be posting screenshots of the several emails I have sent this fraud and all of the Discord conversations and errors within his crappy HS builds on Twitch, X and other platforms so people can see how inattentive he is.

He'll probably try to respond to this and counter it, but screenshots of emails and conversations don't lie. There are other sellers who are legit, this pathetic "merchant" is not! AVOID this hack job!!

I bought a system off retro systems a while ago now, we love it and the kids love it. However I was hoping to go back and possibly upgrade it a bit and get some more stuff. Can't now find the site, even the link on trust pilot takes you somewhere different, have the gone out of business?

I notice they've submitted a batch of responses in August 2022 to their deserved 1 star reviews. More lies as expected, and further showing how unprofessional they are.
I had them checked out when they refused to refund postage when I was legally entitled to it. Reported them and the lack of phone number, proper address and VAT number were all very easily identified, don't fall for their lies that it was all on there. Don't believe the rubbish they post trying to criticise those who gave them 1 star reviews. Poor reviews are consistent and 1 star reviews should be the only ones to believe for these fraudsters.
They rudely said if I had so many complaints then return the product. That's exactly what I did! Don't claim a certain system works really well when it doesn't and don't state that the product (and then the replacement I will get) is brand new when it was clearly someone else's unwanted item both times.
I see their Facebook page and main website has been taken down. Expect them to either return offering a new and improved service (with the same poor results), or have a new name and website, deny who they used to be, post fake 5 star reviews and carry on with their notoriously shambolic services, whatever they're known as in future. Basicallly, just beware and avoid!

I can’t seem to get this to work

I recently purchased the hand held console after reading about it and the games list. The delivery times were very quick, less than a week. It needed charging before use but worked fine after. The games brought back a lot of gaming memories when i was younger , the console was easy to use and the instructions were straight forward to follow. I would definitely recommend retro systems and I will.be considering buying a main console in the future

Terrible service from them, Odroid 64 has shoddy buggy software not worth the money at all as you’ll only end up getting better software yourself and trying to make best out of a bad situation so you might as well build it yourself it’s not that hard. A small token partial refund and I’d have been happy but barely a response from the seller.

I purchased my Diamond Bundle, it took a few days for the seller to respond and ship but I got my item as promised (even up'd my delivery to first class due to the wait, which was explained due to bank holiday)

Very happy with the console - everything is exactly as described, I even purchased the HDD upgrade a week later - thank you

Liars! Frauds! Cheats!
They have blocked us from contacts. They won't refund PayPal money and we jeep getting calls that we owe money when we sent back the item in February!
Stay away from them!

What a machine! This console is worth every penny, the gaming is fantastic and runs very well, especially for an emulator.
I would recommend going for wired controllers if you have a busy household. I had connection issues with the wireless controllers. Which the team sorted straight away with no fuss. I can’t recommend these guys enough.

27.08.2022 - A refund! I had to open a case against you on Paypal and they found in my favour! You didn't dispatch the order because you thought it was the same order i placed 4 months previously. You realise this review is 16 months old? You're only just responding? You did not apologise to me and only dispatched my 2nd order after I complained multiple times. Spam? You blocked me after I paid £270 for a console, you wouldn't respond to legitimate questions asking where my order was! The only thing disgusting and vile is the way you treat your customers! PS For anyone thinking of buying a console from this seller, the parent company Gametech Trading Ltd was dissolved in January 2022. STEER CLEAR. IF YOU ARE UNFORTUNATE ENOUGH TO HAVE AN ISSUE WITH YOUR PURCHASE, EXPECT TO BE CALLED DISGUSTING AND VILE!!!!!!
Update - Item finally dispatched after seller realised this was a 2nd console I purchased.
No apologies, customer service absolutely appalling. Steer clear.
Ordered an Odroid system on the 30th March 2021. Cost £270. Not received the console and seller ignoring repeated communications for a delivery date. Now had to open a case with PayPal. Seller also blocked me on Facebook but before he did sent me a cheeky message saying he had replied. But those replies were for a console I bought before Christmas. Please be careful using this company.

I ordered the odroid system recently, it took about 5 days to arrive and was blown away with how many games it can play! 99% of them play fine, n64 and ps1 play flawless!
Saturn and PSP titles vary some of them have been laggy or not played but that’s the dice you roll with emulation.
Overall I would highly recommend one of these. And they have always got back to me within 24 hours on Facebook regarding any questions!

Great product for people wanting to re-discover their childhood games and excellent customer service. Ordered the Diamond bundle and arrived as promised although I had a slight technically issue with controller configuration every email was answered promptly, with advice until a solution was found and everything is working fine now.

Purchased the Odriod system and the arcade stick which works perfectly.
The company also has great after sales customer service.
I'm very happy with my purchase takes me back to the good old days of spending all my pocket money in the arcades in my front room without the 20 pence to continue.

Had a bit of a hiccup at first, due to the pandemic, a shortage of staff and probable overwhelming amount of orders I initially received the wrong console. I sent pictures attached to an email informing them of this and shipped it back but they apologized and rectified the problem immediately. The postal service saw my parcel in limbo for over a week but the staff at Retro-Systems were there for me every step of the way, responding rapidly to my queries and assuring me that my parcel would arrive safe and sound as soon as the delivery service had sorted itself out. They continuously apologized for the delay. My Odroid arrived and is absolutely fantastic. I couldn't be more pleased and i'd just like to say a big thank you to the staff for the build and quality of the system and for being attentitive to their customers at every turn.

Ordered the odroid system and arrived pretty quick. Unfortunately most of the games I tried on the dreamcast (my main reason for buying) did not work and just returned me to the game select screen. Contacted retro systems who gave me the address to return the item to. I paid £11 to send via special delivery (next day service with Royal Mail) and told them it would be there the next day. Disappointingly there was no one there to take delivery so the next day service was pretty much a waste of time and money. I was then assured that redelivery had been arranged and who I was speaking to via Facebook messenger would personally deal with the matter and refund the same day. Thankfully he was true to his word but it did seem a bit of a slap in the face that £2.80 was deducted for the cost of the postage when I'd paid well over that to send it back. Perhaps I should bill them for my postage costs as the item didn't play most of the games listed for particular systems......
All in all though I was resonantly happy with the prompt refund once the item had been signed for hence the 3 stars.

Absolutely brilliant everyone should have one of these.
I bought the diamond bundle and the hdd upgrade my 4 year old loves it also.
Absolutely packed full of the old classics among others.
You would not be disappointed.
The guys at retro-systems.co.uk are brilliant and quick to answer any questions you may have.
I ordered Friday morning and received Saturday morning.

Retro-Systems are in a class of their own. Their bespoke systems are first class. The ordering and purchasing process is straightforward and the delivery times are extremely reasonable.
No product would be complete without good quality after sales support.
I am happy to report that any queries are quickly and expertly answered.
I bought a Gold bundle around 2 years ago and I am very happy with the product and the service I received thereafter.
Only today have I enquired about upgrading to their super popular Odroid system and after asking a few questions regarding addition of some retro emulators such as ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Amiga systems, which of course were resolved both speedily and expertly, I will be placing my order for an Odroid system.
Highly recommended.
