I've been using Rebtel to call family overseas and it's been a great experience. The rates are significantly cheaper than what my regular phone provider charges for international calls, and the call quality has been consistently clear.

I am very dissatisfied with using the Rebtel app, and I have had a very bad experience with this program. For me, this app has practically not worked as it should and has caused a waste of time, money, and patience.
For every call, I have to try again and again. Most of the time, I have to wait for a long time, tolerate the busy tone, and in the end the call either does not connect at all or only connects with great difficulty after many attempts. This situation is completely unacceptable, especially for an app whose main purpose is to provide international calls.
I still have about twenty minutes of talk time remaining, but despite that, I have effectively been blocked and can no longer use the service that I paid for.
I paid 12 euros for the subscription and also paid another 5 euros, but despite these payments, I can no longer use the service. This is completely unfair and unprofessional.
For this reason, I deactivated my subscription, because when a service does not work properly, there is no logic in continuing with it. In my opinion, this app has been one of the worst experiences I have had with calling applications.

I found Rebtel after searching for a better price for international calls. So far, I haven't had any issues with them. It always connects quickly and the quality of calls is always good. Replenishing the balance is easy.

I am writing to make a formal complaint about my recent experience with your service.
I used the Rebtel app and unfortunately had a very bad experience. I have already sent several emails explaining my issue, but I have not received any response regarding my case. Instead, I keep receiving promotional emails and advertisements, which is very frustrating.
As a customer, I expect proper support and assistance when I report a problem. The lack of response from your support team is unacceptable.

Blocked account for 2 weeks during onboarding
I created a Rebtel account for my 82 year old mother so she could make international calls. The experience during signup was surprisingly frustrating.
First, I attempted to add $5 using her MasterCard. The payment was declined without any explanation, even though the card works normally elsewhere. I tried again with a Visa card in her name — same result, again with no explanation.
Eventually I managed to add $5 using my PayPal account.
However, after installing the iOS app on her iPhone, the account suddenly became blocked. Support asked us to provide a copy of her passport, which we did. We were told the issue had been escalated to a specialized team.
After that, nothing happened for more than two weeks.
What was most frustrating was not the technical issue itself - yes bugs happen - but the lack of transparency. No explanation for the account lock, no estimated resolution time, and only generic support responses that only add to the frustration.
For a problem occurring during initial signup, this is a very poor experience. Unfortunately it completely undermined our confidence in the service.
