Positive experience overall
I wrote a previous review (4*) a year ago about my registration and investing experience. Apart from a few initial glitches I was happy enough with the process.
This January my deposit matured - I received an email in advance reminding me of the option to roll over, and another on the day of maturity. I chose to transfer the full amount to my bank, and this happened automatically within a couple of days.
If I didn't need instant access to this money, I would be happy to re-invest via Raisin since the interest I received was way more than any Irish banks were paying last year. By the way I believe all the non-Irish high interest financial institutions (eg Bunq, Trade Republic) have the same problem with customer service - in fact some are way worse than Raisin - and unfortunately this seems to be the price you pay.
Flexible and friendly
On the approach of deposit maturing…
On the approach of deposit maturing Raisin advised that if I did nothing the account would roll over to a further deposit.
Then I received an email saying that if I did nothing the cash would appear in my account.
I wrote twice to ask which was correct. I have not received a reply (2 weeks have passed)
Do not recommend until they get their customer service in order. Do not know what is happening with my deposit.
No Response from Raisin and positive review are on reward scheme
When i read about this company I was impressed and interested to open an account.
First I had a few questions, so I emailed them, and they did not respond, which reduced my confidence in them.
Then I proceed to open an account anyway, from within Spain where I am resident, and they respond with a UK Account.
I advised them that this is not what I want, but again, they did not reply.
It raises questions about their integrity, and now I lack the confidence to invest with this so called Bank.
I cannot afford the risk of an online Bank that may not be trustworthy.

I provided all the required docs to raisin, just waiting to invest 100k. Then on video id,because I have a hearing impairment,I cannot invest. Simply because I cannot hear the questions asked and not allowed to have anybody else near me to repeat the questions.
Unbelievable in this day and age. First time in my life I was discriminated against because of my hearing impairment. And what really annoys me is they have all my personal information, bank details, work details, etc, etc.
Mind blowing.

Very positive experience so far
Very positive experience so far. No problems getting through on the phone, account opening and setting up first deposit account all completed within 2 days. Well worth the effort given the miserly rates being paid by Irish Banks with depositors now propping up mortgage holders.
Outdated, and Customer Unfriendly
The process to update the reference account is painful. Even in the authenticated online banking they ask to fill out a PDF form with a bunch of data that is already on the account page where you download the form. And you have to print it, sign it, scan it and send it back to them. They denied the change because I signed it on my computer. Then they complained because I had an error in the information I had to copy from my account page. Just horribly customer unfriendly. Its time for competition in this market.

ID Verification process a mess
I was directed to a company called IDNow to do ID verification. I tried on the website and then downloaded the IDNow app. Each time, the staff member found some excuse not to bother with the ID process and they were rude and abrupt. If Raisin want to protect their reputation and get customers through the ID verification, they should investigate whats going on at IDNow. A quick look at IDNows trustpilot would tell them that this company is not competent.

They've changed their name to inactive.com and I've just received a raisin marketing item in the mail. This place must be tiptoeing on that fine wire to keep it operational and legal and hard to keep track of

Account Holder's Beneficiaries
On November 15, 2023 I wrote on this forum about Raisin Re Designation of Beneficiaries of the Account-holders directly for their accounts on Raisin's website. Raisin responded that they have fixed the problem. However, as of today, when I went on to my account profile and individual accounts, I could not see any beneficiaries of my accounts those who I initially designated. The account information on the Raisin website incorrectly states : Beneficiaries:
You may view your existing beneficiaries for each account by accessing your account overview page. The account-holders are not able to designate or change their beneficiaries directly on the website in a secured way.

Suddenly closed account after almost 2 months still not fixed
They said because of a manual mistake my account has been deleted. They’ve been working to restore it since start of December and it’s still not restored, and my money is nowhere to be seen…
Would give negative stars if possible
Would give negative stars if possible, based entirely on the abysmal customer service. My account has been unaccessible for almost a month. I have jumped through the hoops they have asked and after waiting on hold for extended prtiods of time, and many, many emails and contacts have yet to reach resolution. The products are attractive, but if you don't want to feel like your money is being stolen and get the runaround from "customer service", go somewhere else. There are multiple complaints with the Better Busines Bureau here in the US and I am not surprised. Wish I had never opened the high-yield savings account through the..
Worthless company
Worthless company they say they are pan European but only serve a handful of countries. They do not answer any question about why thy make these promises. Their website and information is solely written towards shareholders.

Cannot really fault the app
Cannot really fault the app, easy to use and understand if you accept the enevitable delays with international money transfers. We were uncertain about how to maximise euro returns whilst minimising risk and Raisin is a great solution to this and because we live a relatively nomadic lifestyle it is great to invest and manage our deposits from anywhere in the world. Having now invested a substantial amount of money in various accounts in various banks in different countries in the eurozone, I can highly recommend both Raisin and the app. Great job, thank you👍
My experience has been excellent
My experience has been excellent. I was reluctant given their reviews but was pleasantly surprised. My account matured last week (Dec 23). The money was returned to my Raisin Ac on the exact day and I was able to transfer it out.. back to my current ac.
They always return your calls in response to messages that you leave (call come from a German number, Hamburg). The agents are always pleasant and knowledgeable
I would recommend wholeheartedly.
Opened an account but after reading…
Opened an account but after reading this horrendous reviews I am delighted I did not give them any money. I closed my account and changed all me details when I read through all the repugnant experiences people on here have had. I’ll take the crappy interest rates the Irish banks have because I will at least be sure they won’t scam me and I’ll get my money on time.
Positive experience
1.5 years ago, prior to opening an account with Raisin I did research and wondered about the mixed reviews. However, no one who complained submitted an update on the resolution of their issue. Raisin is registered and regulated in Ireland and would have to deal with any customer problem. I'm writing to strike a balance as my experience is entirely positive.
Firtst, Raisin’s interest rates are more than double what is offered by Irish banks.
I wasn’t greedy and decided to invest money in short term deposits to test the system.
While a call center does not appear to exist, every time I emailed a query I received a prompt and detailed response.
The first investment matured after 6 months. On the day the deposit disappeared from the Dashboard but at the same time the “Payout Confirmation” appeared in my Documents.
My deposit including interest was transferred and available in the Raisin account two work days later.
I had no issues transferring the money into my nominated personal bank account.
Once you have familiarized with the app it is easy to find the information relating to the account in My Profile - (Inbox, Documents, Transactions, Withdraw funds etc).
My second deposit matured after 12 months and the last one just recently, again after 6 months.
On each occasion the process was as for the first. I encountered no problems whatsoever. Admittedly the processing time for the third deposit took over 2 weeks but is acceptable considering that the request has to be processed by Raisin before its send to the bank abroad for approval and return.
I received regular status notifications, processing underway or confirmation of my transactions or advising of deadlines.
I’m happy with the interest which is much higher than what I would achieved with any Irish bank. Obviously I have to declare it to revenue.
I normally don't write reviews but knowing that more people will complain than take time to share good experiences I thought I make the effort.
I would recommend Raisin. Make sure you read the guidelines and FAQ’s carefully which provide answers to most questions.
Test Account
I attempted to open a joint account but got the prompt that my wife's ID couldn't be confirmed so I opened an individual account with the intent of converting it to a joint account later. I deposited a small "test" amount in the account and left it for a month just to see how Raisin did business. Interest paid without any problem and I withdrew a portion of the balance to confirm that no fees were charged. So far, so good. The main issue arose when I attempted to call Raisin customer service. I waited on hold for 18 minutes with no answer. I hung up and called a second time and waited another 15 minutes with the same results so I opted to have them call me back. I was very surprised that I did get a call later the same day. However, I was told that my current individual account could not be converted to a joint account and since they had an issue confirming my wife's ID I was barred from opening a joint account. I immediately withdrew my money and will attempt to completely close the account. I would NOT recommend the Raisin platform to anyone.
BEWARE!!
You can get better rates elsewhere with less hassle by going straight to the Banks -- see Investopedia or Bankrate for current rates. When I tried to change my external account, I discovered that Customer Service is a nightmare. Reps are incompetent and unable to help with a simple problem. Using a very popular phone and browser (Samsung Galaxy S & Chrome) I could not complete their identity verification process. Reps could only suggest that I try again. After 2 weeks of frustration, I tried downloading and using the Firefox browser, which finally worked. CS should know that. Users should not have to figure it out.
