I've used Quicken for years

I've used Quicken for years. It does what I need to do and is comfortable to work with. Rarely have to resort to Help or reading a manual, and the reports let me use the information that I've entered.

I use Quicken because they have no competition to choose

I use Quicken because they really have no competition. Its a chore to upload and process transactions from financial institutions. Integrations constantly break and need to be reset. The process to categorize expenses is extremely tedious. They have made no noticeable improvements to this software in 20 years.

Overall Quicken is pretty good

Overall Quicken is pretty good. But there are some things you could improve such as:

1. When you have a multi-year budget and you want to carry for balances just for the year it doesn't allow you to. Carries it for how many years you've been repeating your budget on an annual basis. This would only work if you kept the money in savings but when you delete your money at the end of the year and we want to carry for the years balances without having to go in and create a whole brand new budget.
2. The financial growth outlooks is summary non-realistic. There's no way I'm going to have 30 million dollars in 30 years.
3. And budgeting the two accounts and from accounts categories are very hard to manage and their accuracy is not correct. Should be an easier way to Monitor and track funds that are transferred to and from different accounts.
4. On reports, or would be great if you could remove transactions and categories from reports with one click.

Does not allow you to print checks

Does not allow you to print checks. Dislike the fact that your credit card charges show up as negative. It does not remember your prior charge entry, so, you have to allocate accounts every time. Could not change how you enter charges, meaning, date then vendor then amount then account and then note.

As I have stated before

As I have stated before, the manner in which my screen is taken over by 'ads' makes me feel like I am being bullied into having a membership. Why must I be restricted just because I choose not to be able to receive help from a membership?
