I’m a legacy Quicken user since the early 1990s. I hate the fact that you have moved to a subscription-based service that requires annual payments to manage my personal finances. I love the product, b... See more

lost ability
Disappointed in the lost ability to download activity to reconcile some accounts ie BofA Visa and retirement account with Merrill Lynch.

I like the basics of keeping up with my finances via Quicken. I hate that I'm forced to pay for the online stuff when I have no need of it and don't want to use it. AND the last few times I've pulled it up to update finances, it's trying to force me to enter my user ID and password. What in the world for? I'm not going online!!! Ugh.

I would like Quicken to read the symbol rather than the investment name.
I trust the program.
I don't use it a lot, but I keep track of the finances of the non-profit for which I am treasurer. I trust the way it lets me know how we are doing so I can pass that information along to the rest of the group.

The spending plan is very hard to organize. Usability and interface is clunky. Needs simplified for non tech savvy users
Unconscionable Subscription Annual Fees
Your subscription annual fees have become absolutely ridiculous. I am now looking for Quicken replacements that have no subscription fees, primarily those that are either free or with only a one-time, good-for-life purchase price. I can no longer submit to Quicken's unconscionable greed for your customers' money.
Software is easy to use and covers all…
Software is easy to use and covers all the bases. There are some glitches, however, that keep from giving a 5 star. The software can be quirky at times -- entering transactions automatically when manual entry is chosen, automatic categorization without taking the requested category and defaulting to what the software thinks, and requirement for connectivity; I prefer to be 100% off-line.
Most confusing
Most confusing. I can't get into my desktop client. It is blocked and says it is no longer subscribed, but it just update software. The online version does not update because of the desktop version. I am unable to resolve. Terrible software and guidance.
Easy to fine transactions
Easy to fine transactions, mice reports and easy to download transactions. One thing I would like to see is the first time you open quicken and an account, all current transactions should show, you shouldn't have to scroll down.
Quicken is wonderful!
Quicken is wonderful!! Easy to use and so many different reports at your fingertips. I have been a Quicken user since 1998 and wouldn't use any other program. Love it!! Highly recommend!!
i have not been able to download…
i have not been able to download financial info into my new account. one of your agents tried, but could not get it to work with my existing files. you have long ignored long-time users (we all lost data when intuit took over because your program was not compatible with existing files) and you have made no effort at all to provide a way to coordinate downloads with existing files. and now you're charging me more and more just to use your program. maybe you could be the one company that actually cares about long-term customers more than getting new ones.
Data in my accounts is changing when…
Data in my accounts is changing when I'm not even in the account registers and I do not download from the accounts' website. I have had continuous web protection for years and this problem has started after I got a new laptop with Windows 11. I had to do a reconciliation of my checking account by hand all the way back to 8/2019, got a balanced account 4/26/26 which held until 5/1/26 and continued to go out of balance and still is today. My Capital One account was reconciled back to 2017, had a credit balance of $2.16 but now shows I owe 212.02. I'm not happy, I'm in the middle of going thru my checking account AGAIN and there are transactions which just disappeared and some I have to use the search bar to find. What's up with this? Your price has increased and your reliability has declined. I'm not a happy camper
Paying too much for what I don't want
I'm disappointed Quicken has moved to the subscription model. I wish they'd provide a simple option without all the extras that I could purchase say, once every 5 years. I only use about 20% of the bells and whistles provided and wish I didn't have to pay for it.
I've been using Quicken since the early '90s
I've been using Quicken since the early 90's and it's been the best resource for past purchases, home improvement and trip information, etc. I have gotten frustrated in the last couple of years where changes to Quicken have combined my carefully made split categories on transactions into one category or does sometimes does not properly reconcile with the bank.
Once I could get past the AI phone…
Once I could get past the AI phone system, the human operator and I solved the problem. I bought a new computer and the Best Buy people would not load anything that was not direct Windows application. The AI system could not understand that. Took me long time to get past - about 20 minutes of agravation.
No answer to email
Usually, Quicken works great. But some time ago I had a question. I can't remember what the problem was and can't find the message I sent. HOWEVER, no one ever answered my email. That is very disappointing. Now, until the problem happens again, I have to wait. When it happens again, I will call.
