After taking my payment details the page just hung! Waited for half an hour but no change. The charge appeared on my card immediately. No way to login and see anything, no email with the pin.

The toilets were disgusting but the gym was nice

Good equipment. Some friendly, happy staff. Some staff who regularly walk around tidying up the weights and cleaning while other stand around on their phones. Sadly the weights are very often left around the gym and not replaced in the correct place so time is spent walking around looking for them and not always found. Ladies toilets although clean a bit smelly.

Thanks it would be great if that issue was sorted :-)
This pure gym has all the essential equipment you need and you can get a good workout done. The staff seem to be friendly and it’s good you can attend any time.
After taking a 9 month break from this gym the cleaning stations are not as good as they used to be and now there are only two small disinfectant sprays you can use (that’s if they work) or if if is any tissue to help you clean. I just find the gym not to be as clean as it used to be and lack of cleaning equipment for users makes it worse. There is also a foul smell from the toilets not sure if it’s the drainage. If these two problems could get sorted then I would give 5 stars.

This has by far become the worst gym ever. The classes are all over the place with the times of classes being made so members can not attend. Classes were popular until there was a big change in them in July. Classes are being stated on the Puregym App with a certain instructor and when you attend there is no one to take the class because the instructor is on holiday. You do not even get a message to say the class has been canceled nor does no other staff member stand in. A total waste of time.
The place is dirty and nothing is refilled toilet paper, cleaning products water machine. Machines are sticky. What happened to being clean because of covid. Must be a thing of the past... Nasty.
Deputy Manager Eddie just sits on his backside and does nothing. Doesn't even turn up for his booked classes. Lazy is definitely the word. Can't be bothered, rude to members.
Does anyone even care anymore about what the members want?
Members have left or are leaving due to all of this nonsense. We pay for a disorganized gym. You have a better chance of catching an infection than losing weight there. Better off finding another gym.

The Romford Gym Manager Charlies was friendly and welcoming. He showed me around the gym and then came back a little later to make sure I am settled in as today is my first day in the gym.

A big shout out to Antonis, amazing trainer and great attitude towards all members. His classes are the best. Thank you Antonis for all the hard work you put into making the classes challenging to suite the level of each member.

Can't help feel slightly cheated around pricing, it appears that its very low, but once you progress you find restrictions on the basic category are so great (& depending how you may need to access the facilities, timing of visits, friend access etcetc) you actually need a much, much more expensive plan.
Feel the concept of 'premium' gyms to be very unfair & misleading. What you mean is: the business rates/costs are higher, so we charge you a lot more. Because there is nothing 'premium' about my local venue when compared to others across the region. It is much smaller, much more overcrowded & has less equipment, & you are paying a lot more for this 'benefit'. You cannot help where you live & you get penalised for this. Also fairly ridiculously, & this is not made clear to start with, untill you go along, read small print etcetc & you basically guess - why other members cannot get a Bolt on to a 'premium' gym, from another area! Why not do a sliding scale of Bolt on to cover this gap? So friends, family & professionals can still attend their companions gym (with a Bolt on). For example a Suffolk based resident cannot add on a visit to some Essex-London gyms! (- Unless paying a full guest pass price, but if already a member themselves, obviously that's not sensible & too expensive)..
Also seemed very hard to find out about Bolt ons; especially unclear around when you can make changes due to billing dates on the site & when you can't. I think this could be made clearer without having to read small print, for example they could put a date on the App "you can change your plan after X... date", ok a countdown, or similar?
Despite this, if you can manage to attend with no friends/family companion(s), and you can get there at very, off peak times, you can get a very reasonable membership. Some, (not all) of the gyms are large & well equipped.
The gym is not that bad, but the biggest problem is, the one that make me change my old gym; that almost nobody put the dumbbell s back to the original place. I mean I don’t understand why the personal from there, masive guy, don’t have the guts to made those people to put the dumbbell back to original spot.
