Pleasant stores, but too expensive.Publix Super Market at Sarasota Crossings
The stores are pleasant enough and well stocked, the only reason I go there is for my prescriptions. The store is close to my home, my wife asked me to pick up a can of Pillsbury flaky biscuits, normally I never buy any food there. That can of dough was $4.40, I got one last week from Walmarts where I usually shop for $2.87 same size, same brand, I can see a little mark up considering it's Publix but surely not that much, and that is just one item! I don't see how anyone with a family can afford to shop there. They do not seem to care or really worry about what they charge their customers. My local Walmart has just been updated like new again I am quite happy to drive a few miles further and just go there, save money live better.
Poor Deli service
The Deli workers are often standing around waiting for something to do when there’s several customers in line. There’s either poor communication or management but very long wait times. No one has a sense of urgency.
Just got 2 subs
Just got 2 subs. Price getting ridiculous. Less meat bread terrible. Wife and I both said we're done with publix subs.

I am to the point of shopping at Winn Dixie for meat. For years I have been a loyal Publix shopper but the last several months the meat has gotten so bad, like brown and fuzzy in the middle, I throw out more than we use. The last package we threw all of it out! The manager said we will refund it, Oh ok, I will make a special trip to return what you know is bad to begin with. I know just fix it. At the price we pay there should be no brown fuzz!
Sad experiences
1. Coral Springs, FL Publix didn’t have 6 items I shopped!
2. Shame on Publix!!! I bought a chicken Caesar salad brought to my car tonight and I couldn’t even eat it. It was under $10 around nine anyway the chicken was seasoned to where I hated it and the croutons were too big and hard and the lettuce was stuff. I would throw out the only thing I got to eat for my $10 is cheese.
There’s so high in their prices I’ll never go back. Coral Landings. I bought an item at Walmart that they had for seven more dollars at their store. I’ve shopped there for 50 years and I’m finished!
Suggestion for Publix Paraiso
I have an suggestion for Publix place Paraiso in Pines Boulevard…for years the fried chicken was but this year very bad.. It's a shame, don’t have flavor.. smell to horrible old oil and the attention in this area not is good
Generally clean and well-staffed
Stores are generally clean and well-staffed, but customer service can be uneven between different locations. The older stores are often lacking due to smaller floorspace. Bakery selections used to be better. Ubiquitous in Florida, and a great place to get good quality sub sandwiches (often long lines at lunch time though!). Prices tend to be higher than the other chains in Florida such as Winn-Dixie, but lower than "boutique" stores like Whole Foods or Trader Joes. Sadly, the family that owns the company is a major contributor to far-right candidates, so really 3.5 stars instead of 4.
Called store twice. Hanging up phone
Called store twice. Trisha answered the phone twice both times resulted in hanging up the phone when I called at 3035 maricamp rd address. Cashiers will not ring price product up correctly and customer service is deplorable, I hate shopping anywhere now just gonna take 60.00 worth of food back to the store and will shop elsewhere or go out of state.
Publix weston town center rancid food
I shop Weston town center Publix very frequently. Sorry to say I don’t know what is happening at this store but this is the second time I have bought chicken that was rancid
So bad I couldn’t put it in the fridge to return the next day I had to run back to the store
Called the store and spoke with Andrew assistant manager who did not seem to care much. With the prices Publix charges you would think they would monitor this better
Once again I'm throwing out another new…
Once again I'm throwing out another new bag of vegetables because they keep stocking old product and or, not rotating stock like they're supposed to. I have found week old milk and dairy products, some vegetables have been moldy and gross looking. This company is going down the drain.

I visited store 1309 in Belleair…
I visited store 1309 in Belleair Bluffs. I had to buy flowers for my wife's birthday. While i was floundering thru the selection i was approached by a young lady named Savannah. With a huge smile she said" Let me know if you need any help picking out flowers" I said yes! She approached and before you know it she had suggested a dozen white roses. She said "let's get a nice vase for these". I nodded. "Let me cut the stems and get them in water". I nodded again. With an even bigger smile she said "here you go sir". Before I could thank her she was back to produce sorting fruit or whatever. That lady made my day. She is a keeper! My wife loved the roses!
Went to Publix in Greenacres
Went to Publix in Greenacres, FL on Forest Hill Blvd. attempted to purchase a lottery ticket and the cashier was talking with another employee. After the conversation the cashier walked away and went into the office leaving me standing there like I did not exist.
Bought a watermelon there today at the…
Bought a watermelon there today at the Publix Camelot plaza in Cape Coral. We have basically avoided the store for the past year or so because their prices are so crazy for the same exact product that you can get elsewhere. Today we went in there just because we were limited on time and really needed to get some fruit. I've never in my life seen anything like this watermelon that we bought and it tasted like plastic. My guess is it's some of that genetically modified food that they're coming out with. It didn't seem to have any fiber in it whatsoever. My husband tried a bite and spit it right out. I wouldn't even consider tasting it the way it looked. Consumers beware. There's a lot of fake food out there nowadays and I think I ran across my first piece today. Publix, I hope you take this into consideration when you're purchasing food. Honestly there's no way that was a true watermelon. In my lifetime I've had thousands of watermelons and never even come close to seeing anything that looked like this inside.
Last week I went to customer service to…
Last week I went to customer service to get a rain check for an item in the ad that was not in stock at the shelf. The customer service person told me I could not have one because the computer said there was some in stock. I told her I just tried to get some and the shelf was empty. She told me that they were in the warehouse and I would have to wait while she called a stock manager to check the warehouse. which I could not understand because even if they were in the stock room as a customer that already made my shopping purchase and didn't really have time to wait for him to do all this searching but I did. He shows up with 3 different boxes of thing and of course none of them were the item I was asking for so I ended up having to get a rain check after all. she beings telling me that this is Publix policy because of so many people asking for rain checks???? which as a customer doesn't make a whole lot of since because if a item is not in stock is why the rain check policy was put into place. She also told me that I had to tell her how many I wanted at that time so I just said 4 to get my rain check and get out of there. Now it comes to this week and again I go to buy an item that was not in stock but before I go to cash out I ran into someone stocking and asked if she could please check stock before I have to go to customer service again and explained what happened a few days before. she apologized and said that should have never happened and to go get my rain check and tell them she verified that none were on the shelf. so I make my purchase and go to customer service for my rain check. of course I get the same girl as I had with the first experience. I told her what the lady had told me to verify none were in stock . she tells me that she could not find a rain check for that item. all other item but not that one. I told her that she was a lie and I wanted to talk to a manager and she told me that there was not one in the store. another lie. so I asked her for the corporate phone number and she told me she didn't know it and she didn't know of anyone that did. another lie. another lady came up and I asked her for corporate phone number and she gave it to me. I asked the other lady could she help the other girl find the rain check because she had told me she could not find it on the computer. the lady said that she was sure that the girl could help me because she was in the middle of helping another customer and gave the girl a look and all of a sudden the girl starts printing out a rain check for me and started to pass it to me and I reached out for it and she pulls it back and said if I was going to snatch it out of her hand she wasn't giving it to me. I told her I had no intention of snatching it out of her hand but thanks for the warning. Then she proceeds to tell me unless I tell her PLEASE she was not going to give me the rain check. I told her she could wait all day until a manager comes because I had worked in retail for over 22 years and I definitely know that is nowhere in customer service training that she needed more training in customer training or move to a different department away from customers! PLEASE !!!!!!!
I remember when the first Publix was…
I remember when the first Publix was built close to our neighborhood and if my mother couldn't find what she was looking for at the Kroger close by then she would go to Publix to buy the rest. I have visited the Publix where the old house was and 2 others in the area. I have to say that all 3 have declined with friendly employees, service, unbelievable price increases and quality or lack of deli items currently blamed on supply disruption. I used to love the chicken tenders but they are not available half the time I go to the deli and if they are they are over cooked and dry. New employees every visit and if a piece of bread comes with your deli meal.. you don't get it. Prices are high for those quick bite meals and you can't even spare a piece of bread! I looked at the Ad today and peanut butter which used to be the cheapest thing you could buy. Over $7.00 a jar and you could buy one get one free. First of all I'm not paying $7.00 for the first jar to get a free one. Your weekly Ads stink! And your grocery store as a whole in this day and time are unaffordable to most. People just seem to shop there from lack of sense and because they want to be seen as being rich and not Publix Poor!!
Store manager, Matt and Manager Produce Eric
Managers in some departments, like produce, don't like people who don't speak English in their department. I speak from personal experience. I was fired from my job for no reason and they didn't and never told me why. I went and talked to the store manager and he didn't tell me anything. It's the Publix of Key West. Store Manager Matt Managing Produce Eric and his assistant
Lack of BOGO Items But Plenty of Excuses
This has happened multiple times at different Florida Publix stores.
Today was the icing on the cake. They had BOGO on IPA beer but had a sign stating, "Apologies, see customer service". Fat chance for that, rainchecks are not given on alcohol products. Manager would later blame vendor for not delivering product.
Then I went to get my cold brew, also on BOGO. Apologies sign again.
Then they had a sale on their brand of Public kettle chips. None in the store. It's your brand, guys! Don't blame the vendor there!
Mind you, this is 7:05 am on the day the sale starts.
One customer is already chewing out management over the IPA snafu - manager states, "...try another store..."
Really? That's your response?
However, I did go to another store - Winn Dixie
Im so frustrated with the young…
Im so frustrated with the young employees now. They are lazy. I ask help and he said sure and when he know that i want him to place my water on the trunk because i have muscular pain on my arm he suddenly said oh sorry im already clock out.
And another instance when i had an accident and fall the cashier just look and didnt help me.
No more customer service that i used to admire.
Expensive chicken
Expensive chicken, but Walmart cooked chickens every time. Cheaper larger and more tasty
