UPDATED REVIEW: The manager of the Kilmarnock branch, Alan, contacted me regarding the review below and asked if I could come and see him personally so he could assist in resolving the issues I highlighted, He took a look at the rods and showed me what he would attempt to do and acknowledged that there are corrosion issues, asked if I was shown at the time and I replied I wasn't, he explained to me that he tells his staff to show any issues but in this case, it was a stand in that wasn't familiar with his instructions, when I told him that my mechanic will replace the corroded rods when he comes back to Glasgow, Alan said to immediately bring it back to them and they will align my wheels at no extra charge.
Whilst I was there, I was experiencing an issue of my nearside front tyre slowing deflating and had made arrangements to get the alloy wheel refurbished to prevent air escaping from my tyres, he kindly offered to seal my wheel alloy without charge, Furthermore, the reason I wasn't given a paper report at the time was due to printer issues which, again, Alan showed me and explained.
I will say, the manager, Alan, genuinely cares about his customers and the reputation of Protyres and despite the original 1 star review, the resolution was more than above what was expected and I thank Alan and his team for taking the time to rectify the issues raised and solving them to my satisfaction.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: 22/7/26
Took my vehicle for a wheel alignment and I suspect they didn't do the job as I ended up taking my car to Kwik-Fit the following day as the car was still pulling to the left, The mechanic at Kwik-Fit informed me that the 2 front inner tie rods, track rods ends and lock nuts were all corroded, he even showed me the extent of the deterioration of the rods and I'm now making arrangements to get them replaced.
Not only that, when i requested the paperwork showing the completed alignments, I was told they don't issue the paperwork but it would be sent by email, I haven't received an email as of yet
I'm very disappointed in the Kilmarnock branch as I normally use the Busby branch who are actually very good

Front and rear brakes and discs replaced
Front and rear brakes and discs replaced in a quick time over 2 visits. A rear tyre was found to have a bubble in the side wall and was replaced at the same time. Prices compare well with large garages and staff always helpful.

Arrived on time for my appointment, yet it still took over two hours to change two front tyres. I repeatedly asked for updates, but nobody could tell me how much longer it would take. The manager’s response was simply, “We don’t know,” which was completely unacceptable. Poor communication, poor customer service, and no respect for customers’ time. A frustrating experience from start to finish. Avoid at all costs.

Terrible service and attitude
Terrible service and attitude. Had an MOT failure so returned the following day for a retest and to get the tyre changed that had failed. Was one other customer in and still took 45 minutes for my car to be taken into the garage. The change its self took 20 minutes to complete with my newly refurbished alloy wheel getting gouged. The car then sat for another 20 minutes while the mechanic went to the shop for ice lollies. When he came back 4 mechanics sat in the reception eating the ice lollies while I sat waiting. Eventually my car was hooked up to the machine and retested which took my total time to 1 hour 30 mins. Will never be back.

Visited this morning at 8am. Was met by a chap who was clearly in a bad mood. No "hello", "good morning", "how can I help"...he just looked at me. I asked if he could quote me for a new battery. He mumbled something about a computer and that "we don't open until 8.30". This was despite the door being open and the sign on the door clearly stating that it opened at 8am. Needless to say, I won't be back....
