Online booking not fit for purpose…
I booked a slot online to fit a pair of new tyres. When I picked the car up I was advised that the tracking was out and needed to be rectified. The manager told me I should book a slot online when I got home..which I duly did. When I returned for the booked 1pm slot I was told by the manager that there would be an hour's wait because all the ramps were busy. When I asked what the point of an online booking was if it couldn't be honoured,rather than apologising the manager just launched into a tirade of abuse in front of other customers suggesting I find him some extra ramps if I wanted quicker service. "Right,I'm going round chuck all the other vehicles off so this selfish customer can jump the queue!" In the end the job was completed in half an hour while I waited. Under the previous non booking scenario I would have just brought the car in and waited or if I didn't have an hour 90 minutes to spare,as was the case this time, I would have left and either gone elsewhere or come back another time. Basically,my point is that the protyre online booking..and paying in advance...is not fit for purpose.

New tyres for the Giulia
Always good to use Protyre or Bathwicks as it was in Barnstaple.
My Alfa needed some new tyres, booked on line and arrived a bit early, but not a problem to leave.
The only issue was I had a 4 wheel alignment booked elsewhere and the guys said we can do that.
I came back and they said they had trouble adjusting......I couldn't understand at the time, but I have since found out it may well have been they were using the library set up for Alfa Romeo which wouldn't work as the car has Quadrafoglio wheels fitted trying to align 285/30 wheels to a setting of 255 would never work
Not a problem just one to remember that sometimes the cheaper quick swap is not always best, if something is a bit specialist.
Guys were apologetic, now scheduled to go to original garage for set up.
Happy with my Ultra high performance tyres. Look forward to testing them hard.....very soon!

Fixed a tyre for me for £34 which the garage had told me would have to be replaced. So helpful. Never feel like I am being overcharged.

I have been to Protyre Barnstaple many times over the last 20 years. I know they will always give an honest answer about the state of my tyres, they won't persuade me to buy new when the existing ones are ok. They carry a good range of tyres so you are always offered a selection from budget to standard to premium. Prices are competitive, staff are helpful.
